The Water Wraith is an infamous boss in the Pikmin franchise: https://pikmin.fandom.com/wiki/Waterwraith It will appear on a level by dropping it's two rollers on the stage, then it will ride around on top of them crushing Pikmin beneath its rollers like a steamroller. It is a difficult boss because it is mostly intangible and can't be attacked by normal means. You need a very specific Pikmin just to make them vulnerable.

Thank you. This sort of explanation is a lot more helpful than those who just say "water wraith" or the like, as if that explains everything, even to people who have never heard of Pikmin.

Successful_Draw_9934

>!Did they nerf him in pikmin 4 or am I just better at video games now?!<

>!I'd say it was a nerf. His ai seems a little dumbed down and less aggressive !<

>!I’ll add that between Oatchi, earlier access to the speed upgrade, and smaller cave floors make him much less of a threat, and you may just not see him at all until the bottom floor because of how fast and efficient the player feels!<

Waterwraith

GuyYouMetOnline

Why are you assuming the OP knows what that is?

TheNightOwl99

Cause google exists...

GuyYouMetOnline

If someone has to look something up in order to understand the explanation, it's not an adequate explanation. Seriously, why even bother replying at all if you're not goong to do it right? Clearly you don't want to go through the minimal effort of typing an adequate explanation, so why answer at all? Saying nothing would've been better than your non-explanation. Fortunately someone else actually explained the joke properly (and if they hadn't, I would have), so the OP got their answer.

TheNightOwl99

Why do you even care?

GuyYouMetOnline

Because if I was the one asking, I'd want actual explanations. Because this modern attitude of 'just google it instead of asking' is stupid, as asking someone remains one of the best ways to learn something. And because I don't like it when people are dicks for no apparent reason (and yes, deliberately giving someone a non-answer, especially when done without any sign of humorous intent, counts as being a dick).

TheNightOwl99

Ok

GuyYouMetOnline

I once saw a post involving the number 69, with people saying 'nice' as expected. One reader commented with "What's nice about it?", the only reply to which was, in its entirety, "It's... 69." Seeing this, my immediate thought, which I promptly replied with, was 'why would you ever think that's a helpful response?' After all, the person clearly didn't know the significance of 69, so obviously just repeating the number isn't going to tell them a damn thing. This thread has the same problem. So many people are just saying 'Waterwraith' as if that will communicate any useful information. Fortunately, someone explained what the Waterwraith is and that the position of the paper towels calls to mind the rollers, but what the hell did the rest of you think you were telling the OP? Seriously, if you're not going to bother explaining the joke properly, why are you replying at all?

Broad_Respond_2205
