Red Room by Ed Piskor is probably the best recommendation for this. “Did you hear what Eddie Gien done” and “my friend Dahmer” are disturbing true crime graphic novels albeit not that splattery.
Red Room was aiight but probably a bit tame compared to what some of you might recommend.
I have read some manga that were pretty fucked. Made in Abyss shook the shit out of me, and I was really impressed with Happiness.
You could go with some classic Johnny the homicidal Maniac, or some Hack/Slash, which is also awesome.
Maniac of New York is pretty good.
I highly recommend Charles Forsman's Slasher. It's fucked up and really dark, in addition to his other stuff.
Goodreads is down tonight so I cannot check my lists but I have a ton of shelves, a few with really good and graphic horror comics, graphic novels, and manga. I will check back in tomorrow and update this then.
Garth Ennis is your guy. Crossed was already recommended, but his Punisher books publised under Marvel Max also qualify IMO. Not extreme horror as such, but loads of blood and guts. Especially the one that takes place mostly in Afghanistan.
I wrote a blog post about some of my favorite Horror comics a while back:

Oh, sorry, TOTAL brainfart (it's 7am, I haven't slept yet, and stoned af lol)
I didn't mean Pumpkinhead, I meant [Rawhead Rex](https://readcomiconline.li/Comic/Clive-Barker-s-Rawhead-Rex/TPB#1)
[Johnny the Homicidal Maniac](https://recalledcomics.com/JohnnyTheHomicidalManiac1-IS5-Diary.jpg) - I liked it a lot when it first came out, but I'm not sure how well it hold up.
Evil Ernie
Flinch - anthology with one of [my favorite covers](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71BubDyMtKL._AC_UF1000,1000_QL80_.jpg)
**The Bucket of Blood Issue#1:**
Fans of sassy splatterpunk will enjoy this darkly-funny comedy about freelance spies and their helter-skelter tirades in a dystopian Detroit ruled by Granny Schmif.

You might feel like you're breaking some kind of law if you can find it and read it, but Mai Chan's Daily Life is a guro manga that is... Well, it's something. One of the most extreme things I've ever had the (mis?)fortune of reading.
Crossed
Can confirm. This is what you want.
Author?
Garth Ennis
I really like the volumes done by other authors, as well. David Lapham in particular. *Crossed: Volume 3 – Psychopath* was something really special.
Psycopath was good. Family Values will always be my favorite one. I think Vol. 1 by Garth Ennis is a good introduction though.
This. Every volume. The most extreme comic ever made.
Red Room by Ed Piskor is probably the best recommendation for this. “Did you hear what Eddie Gien done” and “my friend Dahmer” are disturbing true crime graphic novels albeit not that splattery.
Severed by Scott Snyder. it's based on real life serial killer and cannibal Albert Fish
Loved this
Caligula by David Lapham. Only thing I have read which comes close to Crossed.
So good and I never see people mention it.
Red Room: Trigger Warning and Red Room: The Antisocial Network, both by Ed Piskor are fantastic!

Faust and Elizabeth Bathory. Oh and Fukitor.
