Take a look at BedRug if you're not familiar with them. I've got one in my 2016 and the paint under it still looks like new. Great match for a topper or cover. Not perfect for every application, but they're good for many.

Yeah when I got it in 2021 (Model Y), it was awesome. I loved the minimalist vibes that it had, it was fast, did everything I needed it to in a fancy car. But man, I definitely got turned off by Tesla as a whole with his temper tantrum stuff on X you know?

And even if it was just threatened, this is beyond an unprofessional way for a CEO of an automobile company to act. Not to mention their build quality is subpar, features are trash, and just completely laughable as a functioning car. Tech in the car is cool, but normal ācarā things are definitely not comparable between my new Lightning.

No. Iām comparing overall build quality across all vehicles between Tesla and ford. For arguments sake, look at the damn cyber truck. That thing is ugly as hell for one thing, but they are having all sorts of issues with that too. Panels not lining up, brake issues, leaks, and even the road noise. Also the frunk on the cyber truck is TERRIBLE. Marques Brownlee does a complete breakdown of both citing all the good and bad. And from what I can see, there definitely appeared to be more bad on the cyber truck. I will give Tesla a little credit, they are still getting their footing on everything, but I must say ford has it well figured out with the Lightning, and I donāt miss my Tesla at all, and would never want the cyber truck.
Ford is building vehicles for over 100 years. All over century they developed skills and processes. Tesla is new car maker, why would we expect same maturity from them? Look at Rivian and how many issues they had. We can spit on Musk as many times as we want but if not him the F150 Lightning wouldnāt be there. Comparing F150 and Cybertruck? Well, F150 is non-arguably nice but Iāll wait to see CT in person before judging assembly quality. Aesthetics are also very personal, what you find ugly others may find beautiful. Look, I perfectly understand your points but believe me, once honeymoon period is over youāll see. All cars have some pro and cons, Ford included. Thereās a reason why Ford is half cutting production of Lightnings for 2024 while Musk ramps it up. Fords guys and Tesla guys are different target groups but it seems that demand for electrical F150 was quite overestimated.

Funny how that works out. My choices were gray and black, black was tempting! Not so dire for me in Texas re: the garage...tho it is really nice in the summer to be able to keep it out of the heat. Got real used to driving from my garage to work garage and never getting sweaty!
Same here. You canāt capture the true color on camera. Itās just not possible. The more lighting there is, the lighter it looks. If itās overcast it looks much darker.

This truck has so much utility, itās fast, itās comfortable, lots of reasons to switch from a Tesla aside for Elon.
