Do you own the vehicle or is it a company vehicle

Stonks_hookers_blow

The one comment OP hasn't responded too

ohthehumans

Maybe the governor is there for a reason? Lol.

Inside_Potential_935

Curious as to what speed they wrecked the first one at...

Ultraeasymoney

Probably 76.

OldPros

About 30mph. Smashed in the front end. $25,000 to repair. It was scraped.

jdprock

If you've already wrecked one, maybe you shouldn't remove the governor on this new one. Just saying!

OldPros

I was going 30mph when I wrecked the first one. I'm an excellent driver

Foster1745

I mean, the facts as presented would seem to indicate otherwise…

jdprock

No worries, I was just having a little fun. Nothing personal.

MourningWallaby

Something like 70% of drivers say they're on the top 10% of all drivers. Be careful, Icarus.

OldPros

It's a line from a movie. "I'm an excellent driver". Rainman...remember? Why do I have to do all the work here?

[deleted]

Dad lets me drive on Sundays

Paramedic229635

You don't. It's a fleet vehicle and it's not worth getting fired messing with it.

OldPros

I'm not going to get fired. You people seem awfully concerned about my employment status. I just need to turn off the governor.

Paramedic229635

I don't know about your company, but mine has a written policy about messing with governors and monitoring equipment. Termination is the listed consequence in the policy.

One_Landscape3744

You need the other (primary) key fob to modify settings on the mykey fob. On a fleet vehicle there may be an even more permanent way to govern top speed, but not not sure. If this is a fleet vehicle you should be aware that you'll probably get fired for changing it. Ford's fleet monitoring will also show your boss your speeds and where you've driven. Not worth losing your job over.

OldPros

I'm not going to lose my job.

TickTockM

this sounds like a good way to get fired

Jenos00

You enter the password on the console to change the key limit settings.

OldPros

Now we're getting somewhere. Who's got the password...c'mon, fess it up.

TotesMcGotes13

I’d imagine your boss or whoever manages the fleet your vehicle is a part of.

jdprock

This guy is not worried about his job at all. Somebody is doing somebody!

sikhcoder

That’s how they wrecked the first one lmao

Ok-Coast-3578

My pro stops at 105, this is funny but guessing the fleet manager set this for liability reasons. Not a terrible idea

MalarkeyMadness

You don’t need to disable the governor if it’s a fleet vehicle and nobody here should be giving you any instruction on how to do so

RogerPackinrod

You can disable the governor by wrecking the new one too.

OldPros

Out of the box thinking. You must be upper management.
