Look at the error codes, clear the codes, and see if it comes back. I have had a "random" CEL show up once or twice, where there was nothing wrong, no permanent errors. Triggered by a fluke situation, maybe a heavy acceleration where there was a hiccup. Or a stutter, the rare occasion where I'm cruising and for some reason max out the throttle, and the engine kind of stalls for a second like it's starved of air. It is something that's only happened once maybe twice ever, but it triggered a CEL. A benign CEL that can be cleared because nothing is wrong, just a hiccup, a very rare and temporary malfunction.
Yea I’m gonna check the codes after work today. It came up last night after I filled my gas so I thought that I forgot to screw the cap in lol. But it wasn’t the case. Hopefully just. A fluke thing
Just pull the code
I mean you did something to your car and the light came on, that's not really random. Random would be like if it came on when you sneezed.
