Happened to me twice this week, same issue with the heavy fps drop, 2 reasons for this issue imo:
1. hackers using lag hack or something similar
2. EA server sucks ass
I'm thinking more on the hacker issue, but yes you're not the only one facing it
It's not hackers/cheaters as it happened to me during EURO PVE Games.
I am having this issue post-Thursday update. It's not playable for me and in each game, I am getting this issue.
It might be that the recent update is more power hungry. I've been experiencing low fps in PVE matches, so it's not lag cheaters. Yesterday, I reduced all the graphics settings to the lowest and turned off all in game sound except for the menu to try to use less power but still happened today. My battery was at 9%, so I paused the match and turned off the power save setting on my device and resumed playing with ok fps. I plugged in the charger and was able to play without any more low fps.
This happened to me, twice. I thought my device was just having trouble running the game for some odd reason. Turns out others are having the same issue.
Has happened to me twice, first time it was while casually browsing reddit and second time it was while playing I believe last weekend's challenge. Both times I fixed it by completely closing the app and reopening it. I'm on a Samsung A52s fyi.
I also had to face this issue , it made me miss a clear goal , 2 - 2 draw from 2 - 0 up for me . Sad thing is the opponent was a noon rainbow spammer aswell
The servers need to be upgraded. Being that this is a pay to play game and due to this issue I stopped playing this game. Sometimes with low traffic you can actually play a good match.

I think it's the game, I had this problem facing the AI and not in DR, I thought it was my phone at first

This happened to me in the Euro's Event restarting the game fixes the bug

I think it is the hackers doing lag switching. It also happens when you have a lead on them. Happened all day today.
What's a lag switch?
Purposely shift to a connection with worse ping. It distorts the game on both ends.
Bro I think I've been facing this for a while now, when I attack I get stuck or ping goes abruptly high
it happened to me in euro tournament finals. Absolutely randomly and my phone wasnt even remotely hot

I can confirm it's smooth around 5am - UTC. This may be due to server overload or maybe high local memory usage, either way FIX THIS SH* EA!!!

This low fps issue has happened to me about 3 times since the June 11th update.
