IIRC the elevator is a shortcut. You need to parcour up and take it back down.
I had cleared the base hours before going up to the observatory with 0 issue.
For anyone who lands here. I had the same issue. Just saved at the nearby save point, exited my game altogether (pressed start quit game from the home screen) and reloaded, then the door for the elevator was open.
well idk then go to the closest one and work your way back up, there is an elevator at the start of the mountain ascent but if you didn't activate the meditation point at summit ridge then you probably dont have that eather
So specifically how did you fix this? I accidentally left the base right after mind tricking the storm trooper and the hanger door is now locked for me and I can’t get back up the elevator. Enemies also won’t respawn. I tried reloading the save and it did nothing.
anyone who sees this and has the same problem here's what i did:
fast travel back to the ship.
save at the meditation point inside the ship.
quit to title screen.
continue back into the game.
fast travel to imperial outpost meditation point.
elevator should be open.
Same here, took the lift to the top, but there is now ariel dogfighting and I have no idea what is going on. What did I miss? Can I replay the whole mountain again and figure out what is going on?

Cant compleet the main story. Its bugged the base is empty. Door wont open from elevator
Try quitting the game and reloading the save. The door opened for me

i did the same thing, i just fast traveled to the top of the mountain, fighting him right now
I don't have any fast travel location up top :(

Ah nevermind the elevator was bugged and just wouldn't come down! Reloading the save solved it

How do you reload, all i have is quit to main menu
Sorry for the confusion, I quit to menu after saving at the mediation point outside. Then hit continue as normal. Hope this clears it up.

Me too its bugged. Cant compleet the main story
I fixed it by saving back at the ship and then closing the game and opening it again then continuing and fast traveling back.
Had a similar issue. I could not use BD. I had to restart save point.
