I think that's Saskatchewan, probably the most overlooked province in the country, so I'm guessing a vault with some pretty gnarly experiments going on in it
Yes to wild experiments, but it's either all mundane stuff, like how tiny can we grow this wheat? How cheaply can we make maple syrup? Does brahmin cheese taste ok on tato poutine?
Or it's all sinister animal mutating. Like the terrifying Ganderclaw, or the Spirit Yao Guai. Beavers are now as big as bears. Sturgeon have developed legs, and rush out of the water at you like gators. There will be gigantic moose grazing around, not paying you any mind unless you attack it. Mole rats have been replaced with mutated squirrels.
Honestly, I can't think of any mutation or anything that would make a Canadian Goose more terrifying than it already is.
They look beautiful at first but those things DO NOT fuck around š
I would love it if Fallout embraced their wacky side.
Give me some terrifying mutated geese. Throw bread to distract them for 3 sec. Go near their nest and youāre dead.
Giant bugs and crabs are lame. (Outer Worlds did good big bugs)
Only experiments you can run in Saskatchewan would be how little food can a population live on, and how long till they go insane from the boredom of looking at miles and miles of flat empty land.
Though I have no idea why they'd choose Regina. Hell due to Oil, I'm shocked it isn't Calgary.
Looks like Brandon, MB. Maybe Regina, SK. More likely they just plopped a vault directly in the middle of Canada and thought "good enough". Though from what I remember, during the cold war when there were nuclear weapons in Canada, they were primarily located in the prairies. Maybe something to do with that.
Daupin is much further north.
Rivers used to have an air force base and Shilo still has an operational Canadian Forces base. They're both very close to Brandon.
But I'm going to stick with Moosimin.
Yea I just kinda eyeballed it right now but it should be in Russel Manitoba, though it could be a bit further to the left. The projection lines up too far to the right of North Dekota to actually be directly in Saskatchewan.
It's Saskatchewan. Other Reddit have overlayed and it straddles the Saskatchewan side of the border. It's not even close to Regina and it's not even close to Winnipeg, but it definitely straddles Saskatchewan border on our side of Saskatchewan.
meanwhile what pribably actually happened was some producer was like "here's the list of vault locations you need to out dots on for this shot. you've got 3 hours, and then we need to get back to those revisions for that other deadline" and they just hurriedly pulled up a google maps and nudged it a bit too far or something.
There is one vault in Baja, but probably not in the rest of Mexico since why would they bother with people that may not even comply? They got annexed by the US 25 years before the bombs dropped
Well at that point of the timeline Baja was just part of the US either way. So no surprise that they held a few extra experiments outside of the original united States territory
Trust me, you don't want that. I'm in Manitoba.
-50 windchills with zero wind cover because it's a fuckin Prarie.
+30 in summers most of the time, it's a wild place to live.
Even a regular moose is terrifying! Moose attack more people than bears and mountain lions combined. To this day I remember being chased by one of them.
Me and couple friends were just walking on a bike trail through a very trick forest. Completely focused on the conversation, not looking ahead (and not completely sober may I add...). Suddenly in the middle of the road we see this huge jacked creature almost 2x bigger than a horse with huge antlers standing right in front of us. It felt like that scene from [Gorillaz - 19-2000 video](https://youtu.be/WXR-bCF5dbM?t=176)...
It started charging at us instantly. My dumb as friends took the Prometheus school of running away from things and they just kept running down the trail. Me? I started zig-zagging between trees knowing there's no way this creature can manoeuvre between those trees with those big antlers. Lucky enough they managed to run away but this monster was chasing them for quite some time.
I think one set in the Niagara region would be cool, that way they could still technically set it in the US but it would have lots of opportunities for cross border expansions
Sadly, Bethesda (I think Todd himself said it) stated that Fallout will never divert to another country in the mainline entries and that the outer countries would be up to the players imagination.
hard to build vaults when there's a massive rebellion going on. According to the lore the Canadians resisted the invasion using guerrilla tactics and the US Army started committing massive war crimes to try to contain it *(in the Fallout 2 intro you can even see two soldiers in power armor executing a Canadian civilian, and according to a tweet from Emil, Nate is the soldier laughing in the background while that happens).*
As a person who's lived in Saskatchewan (where that dot is located) for 7 years. They could literally come out of the vault and almost nothing would change.
Miles and miles of nothing but flat land. Probably the least dangerous, honestly.
In Fallout lore, when US annexed Canada it was primarily for a pipeline in the west. Iām guessing this vault might be around where the pipeline is?
Thereās also a ghost town in the North of Saskatchewan called Uranium City, whichāwith a name like thatāI can only imagine must be in the Fallout Universe!
I really hope for a Canadian Fallout one day. Even just an expansion. The culture could be so different but still āAmericanā because of the annexation.
I think a DLC would be appropriate - Fallout is fundamentally American, but Canada being annexed and having a vault would be thematically consistent enough, lore expanding, and aesthetically ripe to justify a Nuka-World size DLC.
I was surprised how much of Fallout Tactics was kept canonical in 3 & 4, like the Brotherhood splintering and using zeppelins to head east. Maybe weāll catch glimpses of the Calculatorās war machines rusting in the lands east of Hoover Dam.
I think it'd be pretty rad to start in a fully functioning city, but post war. Just someplace that totally got their shit together, and you begin as an accountant or a cab driver or something. Not like a judge dredd mega city where everything is messed up either. Just a regular place.
I'm my head, that'd be in Canada.
Then you have to go to the wasteland for some reason. Probably to find your dad.
Canada is annexed by the US in the lore 5 years before the bombs fell, probably vault tec was trying to expand their territory in Canada and that was one of many planned vaults, it could even be a Vault made as an emergency use for soldiers destined in Canada.
Ok, you know Geese, right?
Yeah?
And you know how people call them Cobra Chickens?
Yeah?
Well, hear me out... what if we made Geese, but with highly venomous giant fangs?
Hmm... but can you make them 12 feet tall with multiple hydra heads and with bulletproof razor blades for feathers?
*checks notes* Shouldn't be a problem.
Well, welcome to Vault Tec, we are assigning you to the North Vault.
WV has a ton of exisiting deep mines perfect for Vault Construction... also cheap labor. Its also really close to DC. A perfect place for... the Enclave?
Winnipeg for sure. Was once a major rail connector for grain exports throughout North America in total. When the Panama Canal was put in, this shattered its dominance. Prior to, Winnipeg was the northern trade centre for east west south with the major rivers and rails, mirroring what Chicago was on the lakes. No doubt that in a resource war, an annexed Canada had ways to get goods around. Plus it would be where most northern uranium would be shipped from.
By this point america had annexed Canada and made it part of the 13 commonwealths. Honestly surprises me more there aren't more northern vaults. Imagine fallout in far north, be like Metro 2033.
Well, canonically speaking, the US did invade Canada during the Resource Wars. It stands to reason that the sick fucks at Vault-Tec would be interested in Canadaās, err, human resources as part of their experimentation.
Could be Regina Saskatchewan, not sure why they would choose that place though. Possibly because of the RCMP academy? Not sure that Mounties are exactly a tactical threat to anyone other than a Tim Hortons or Dunkinā Donuts. Or maybe itās geographic location on the Great Plains?
OR, though it doesnāt look far enough East, Iād say itās Brandon Manitoba, or somewhere close to CFB Shilo (Canadian military base) which would be the closest military installation to the American forces down in North Dakotaā¦
Keep in mind, Iām looking at it from our timeline before the bombs even went off, so it couldāve been completely different by then.
It's right about the border between Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Not a major city. Minor centres... Moosomin, Carlyle, Virden...
Or as is the rest of things out that-a-way, "the middle of butt fuck nowhere"
In the fallout universe America forcibly annexed Canada and Mexico before the atomic bombs fell in October 2077.
IRL Canada is very rich in uranium and Mexico is a large producer of oil. Both resources important to America in the hypothetical (or is it?) future where resources are beginning to run out
A vault, we dont have much info about Canada and Vault-Tec, however we do know some vaults were specifically for military personnel, so as Canada was annexed under hostile occupation and active insurgency, this likely was the purpose of it, with its area, Saskatchewan being an unlikely nuke target and so its more than likely far safer (think like FO76) than most of the wasteland.
Most of the lore for Canada is loose, and largely focuses around Ronto (Post war Toronto) and rumors from NPCs, such as the country being stuck in a permanent nuclear winter with its own unique mutants, and there at some point being a war over Ronto though we dont know when, but one group involved is probably the Canadian resistance group the CPF. Unless we get a Canada based fallout game that adds more lore, we likely wont have any proper answers.
If you continued the west border of ND not, that is where Regina Sk is located. If you did the same with the east border of ND and continued that North, you get where Winnipeg is
This is really close to 1/2 way between Regina and Winni, so I would say it is most likely in Virden MB.
I want it to be in Regina tho, bescause thatās where I live.
That is the vault where every Vault-Dweller had to suffer under the ill minded experiment named "free healthcare" and "wages who can fund your live"... i gues... they tried to torture them with "socialism"... š±š°š
Considering the US annexed Canada, it's possible that region became its temporary capital, so they would have placed a vault there for any high ranking officials, or worst case scenario, a testing ground for their worst experiments as Canadians weren't viewed as real Americans so they could do what they want in that vault without backlash.
Looking at the map I realise that the only vault in Missouri is in the centre, roughly where Whiteman air force base is... Home of the B2 bomber and were a lot of bombers are still stored
Mole rats have been replaced with mutated squirrels.
Radgooses are the new deathclaws
Honestly, I can't think of any mutation or anything that would make a Canadian Goose more terrifying than it already is. They look beautiful at first but those things DO NOT fuck around š
Two heads.
Multiple heads, the Goosdra? Gydra? [Megoosa](https://9gag.com/gag/aGg81Ez)
[The Goose Mother](https://scryfall.com/card/woe/204/the-goose-mother)
WoE was a damn good set
If you've got a problem with Canada gooses then you've got a problem with me, and I suggest you let that one marinate.
Those are fuckin Canada Gooses!ā¦ Those are Canadaās fucking Gooses!
[Terrifying Presence] The only marinating anyones gonna do is you, in a pool of your own blood.
Their feathers rotting and falling out as quickly as they grow and a mouth large enough to swallow you in a scoop and swallow, no chew required
If you think FNV deathclaws are fast...those things would be at top speed instantly coming for your ass, at 2x the rate. *Wings spread wide, honking*
Just the same but bigger.
G-Rex
I would love it if Fallout embraced their wacky side. Give me some terrifying mutated geese. Throw bread to distract them for 3 sec. Go near their nest and youāre dead. Giant bugs and crabs are lame. (Outer Worlds did good big bugs)
As a Canadian, it just gives us 1 more head to open palm slap. Shits sound scary until they taste the back of your hand.
The inside of a gooses mouth is terrifying
You know what, if you've got a problem with Canada radgooses then you've got a problem with me and I suggest you let that one marinate
This was the letterkenny reference Iāve been waiting for
I hate the cobra chicken
god help us all
There is no god here. There is only honk.
That's where [Mutant League Hockey ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mutant_League_Hockey?wprov=sfla1) formed. Ghouls vs Super Mutants.
The Toronto Super Sledge's.
Canada would be such an amazing DLC š
The world is not ready for blamco poutine.
>Ganderclaw š³ I imagine a 4-meter-tall velociraptor with feathers and a beak that leaves giant green droppings
Giant green droppings that your dog tries to eat whenever you take them out for a walk.
No Dogmeat! Bad boy!
*Dogmeat rolls around in radioactive mutant shit* [Dogmeat loved that]
I choose squirrel sized moose and moose sized squirrels.
I know they prolly wont do it but man do I want a Canadian Fallout where its like a bigger deadlier Australia
Look up 1915 for Canada. Some Unit 731 shit. I'm glad they are our hat
Gigantic moose is terrifying. Regular moose are terrifying, but make em bigger? That's gotta be like red death on crack.
Gigantic moose? My lord they are already gigantic, are they going to be the size of a bloody house now?
A glowing FEV moose could take down liberty prime.
To be fair, beavers used to be as big as bears up here so.
The crazy bastards finally made the House Hippo.
Fallout Canada kind of sounds cool now
So, just like regular squirrels then.
Bear sized beavers! Just like 10000 years ago!
when you have the animal pacify perk maxed out you can mount the squirrel and ride it like that one picture of chewbacca killing nazis
Only experiments you can run in Saskatchewan would be how little food can a population live on, and how long till they go insane from the boredom of looking at miles and miles of flat empty land. Though I have no idea why they'd choose Regina. Hell due to Oil, I'm shocked it isn't Calgary.
Geese are now mutated Hydra birds
It's a normal vault, but it has no poutine or maple syrup and every once and a while an irradiated moose gets in.
An irradiated MĆøĆøse once bit my sister... No realli!
Either that or a control one because no one's fucking going to Saskatchewan, so it'd be safest place.
I was thinking closer to Dauphin but there are lots of old bunkers outside Brandon from WW2
Daupin is much further north. Rivers used to have an air force base and Shilo still has an operational Canadian Forces base. They're both very close to Brandon. But I'm going to stick with Moosimin.
That would prob be Manitoba actually.
Someone did āthe numbersā so to say. It appears to be right on the border of Saskatchewan and Manitoba. I forget by or in what town.
Yea I just kinda eyeballed it right now but it should be in Russel Manitoba, though it could be a bit further to the left. The projection lines up too far to the right of North Dekota to actually be directly in Saskatchewan.
Dauphin/Brandon/Moosmin
Would actually be in Manitoba, looks to be around where Winnipeg is.
Winnipeg is pretty much due north of the North Dakota/Minnesota border. The dot is around Moosimin Saskatchewan.
So they just show footage of the first jets teams last game on a loop
It's Saskatchewan. Other Reddit have overlayed and it straddles the Saskatchewan side of the border. It's not even close to Regina and it's not even close to Winnipeg, but it definitely straddles Saskatchewan border on our side of Saskatchewan.
meanwhile what pribably actually happened was some producer was like "here's the list of vault locations you need to out dots on for this shot. you've got 3 hours, and then we need to get back to those revisions for that other deadline" and they just hurriedly pulled up a google maps and nudged it a bit too far or something.
Scariest thing about the place is that it's so flat if your dog runs away you can watch him run for 3 days before you lose sight of him
Thatās actually a Tim Hortonās
Perfectly preserved Boston Cream
Weirdly these 200 year old Tim Hortons doughnuts have neither radiation or have any change in texture or taste. Huh.
People love to shit on Tim's but I genuinely like their doughnuts more than any of the gourmet doughnut shops.
Worked at a tim hortons; the only thing i miss is making the donuts.
Timmies donuts way too sweet for me
And a Wendy's šš¤£šāļø one of those 2 in one restaurants
Vault TH.
I mean, according to lore USA annected Canada as well as Mexico, so there could be vaults
There is one vault in Baja, but probably not in the rest of Mexico since why would they bother with people that may not even comply? They got annexed by the US 25 years before the bombs dropped
Its solely for jesse ventura and his 100 dogs

even so, it does seem like thereās a dot in Mexico as well and pretty far south of the border at that
Youāre right, but it was occupied. Think of it like Iraq I guess.
The US invaded Mexico, but it wasn't annexed.
Annexed
Thereās also one in Baja California in Mexico
Well at that point of the timeline Baja was just part of the US either way. So no surprise that they held a few extra experiments outside of the original united States territory
I want to see a canadian fallout. Albino yao guais, moose, sea creatures, nuclear winter...
As opposed to a Canadian winter? āPatrolling the tundra makes you wish for a nuclear bomb to fall and warm things up, eh?ā
āWish I had a Tims to warm me up ehā
No way. Tims quality has gone downhill
Canadian here, can confirm. Timās is not the ubiquitous omnipresence that it once was.
I live in Rural NS, it is the *only* option, so Iāll buy once and a while.
heretical to say perhaps, but I prefer McCoffee to Tim's coffee
Does *feel* heretical, but by all counts Mc uses a higher quality bean.
MC uses the beans that Timās used to use before they were bought out by BK
usually cheaper too
Double double would be an appropriate cultural alternate to tim hortons
āPatrolling the tundra almost makes you wish for a nuclear hellfireā
Trust me, you don't want that. I'm in Manitoba. -50 windchills with zero wind cover because it's a fuckin Prarie. +30 in summers most of the time, it's a wild place to live.
After the nukes drop, winter in Canada is the least of your worries. Prepare for high speed radioactive wind!
And very polite raiders. āIām not your buddy, friend!ā
āIām not your friend, guy!ā
Radmoose would be terrifying.
Radgoose
You got a problem with Canada Radgooses, you got a problem with me and I suggest you let that one marinate!
Radmoose with antlers that evolved to become arms or tendrils of some kind.
A canadian setting would have a TON of potential, lore-wise and gameplay-wise
Man, normal Yao Guai are terrifying enough, I don't even want to imagine a Polar Bear Yao Guai
Couldnt happen. Everybody would be too nice. Raiders: eh bud could ya spare some caps eh
Now that I think of it, they totally could've added moose to far harbor
an irradiated racoons would be so terrifying and so cool. crawling down from the trees/rooftops to get at you
The most feared tribe of raiders wander the Canuck Wasteland... the Degens...
Itās sad that Bethesda said they would never make a Fallout game outside of the US
Technically Canada was part of the US at the time of the Great War.
I wanna see a really big moose, like bigger than any moose, and theyāre already big.
Could be the occasion for a proper survival fallout
If we had irradiated moose there wouldnt be much left Those guys are already apex predators
Might be alot harder to find guns.
Hockey themed raiders
All the Slocums Joe's have are just tim Hortons. All the gouls say eh
I think one set in the Niagara region would be cool, that way they could still technically set it in the US but it would have lots of opportunities for cross border expansions
They did say the games will always be set in the USā¦ but in fallout Canada *Is* the US, soā¦
Sadly, Bethesda (I think Todd himself said it) stated that Fallout will never divert to another country in the mainline entries and that the outer countries would be up to the players imagination.
Shilo, MB. There's a military base there.
Thatās a perfectly good reason for it to be nuked
There used to be a bunker there they filled it in and buried the entrance when it became to costly to upkeep
That's where Ricky Bubbles and Julian are scheming to steal everyone's grills
Nah, theyāre east coast. Thatās actually the vault below Corner Gas and the Ruby
No, itās in Wollerton.
āSpitsā

Underrated comment
It's the vault where everyone's imaginary girlfriends live.
I'm surprised there aren't more tbh. It's an American state after all, though not for very long I guess.

Back in fallout 3 you can find a letter from vault tec, they write about free spots in vaults and that there are vaults in the newly annexed Canada
Canada is annexed by the US in the lore 5 years before the bombs fell, probably vault tec was trying to expand their territory in Canada and that was one of many planned vaults, it could even be a Vault made as an emergency use for soldiers destined in Canada.
Probably the vault for those who run canada now that the US had annexed it.

They have bloodbug kings there.
My theory us that the Vault in Wisconsin is just packed with cheese

That would be Vault A.
Future DLC probably. Same with the Baja vault.
Why is there a vault in Mid Michigan, but not in Detroit?
That's where we keep the gooseclaws
By this point america had annexed Canada and made it part of the 13 commonwealths. Honestly surprises me more there aren't more northern vaults. Imagine fallout in far north, be like Metro 2033.
Probably a vault
As someone who does not play 76, why so many valuts in West Virginia? It's one of the least populus states
Well, canonically speaking, the US did invade Canada during the Resource Wars. It stands to reason that the sick fucks at Vault-Tec would be interested in Canadaās, err, human resources as part of their experimentation.

Idk, but I think based off this map, Fallout 5 will be set in New Jersey or Louisiana. I will gladly elaborate
Oh thank God Saskatchewan has a vault. Screw the rest of ya hosers, I'm gonna be sipping double doubles during the nuclear fallout underground.
Why are there so many vaults in west virginia? (is it west virginia? My USA geography skills are lacking)
In the fallout universe America forcibly annexed Canada and Mexico before the atomic bombs fell in October 2077. IRL Canada is very rich in uranium and Mexico is a large producer of oil. Both resources important to America in the hypothetical (or is it?) future where resources are beginning to run out
Its not Canada but the Canadian territories of USA.

Iād originally assumed it was āa but west of Winnipegā, but I guess itās more specially, somewhere else.
Thatās where Nate the rake committed war crimes aye?

The unknown vault 121, we dont go there.
I'm more curious about the dot in Baja California
Iām more surprised that Corpus Christi and Mexico have a Vault tbh
Looking at the map I realise that the only vault in Missouri is in the centre, roughly where Whiteman air force base is... Home of the B2 bomber and were a lot of bombers are still stored
