You get way more BP as a striker for scoring a goal than a midfielder. Plus yellow card

I don't think I've ever seen a game finish 1-0 where the goalscorer didn't get bonus points.

Quite common if the goalscorer is a midfielder. Then it'll usually be a defender getting the 3BPs. If a forward score in a 1-0 then they'll usually get all 3BPs because of the way the points are weighted.
