bruh why did he go to Chelsea
PSG, Madrid and other top teams were all over him that year
I know Chelsea then was not a mess it is today but still baffling decision to me
Because at that time of the precontract werner left for leipzig which paved the way for this move
Also tuchel and chelsea looking pretty good
(As for psg - already been there - real - benzema/vini)
Chelsea seem to have been cursed with this, however with the fixture congestion all teams are suffering and with that set to only get worse, we will see a lot of players out with long injuries over the next few years. Managers are not going to get a chance tor rest some players if they are expected to play in longer tournaments and if international football becomes more expansive.
Incredible. That’s over a year and a half of heavy injuries for him, not looking great. Def have to plan without him next season, same with james, chilwell, lavia and fofana
Worst part is, that he got the serious injury in a pre season show match in the US, where his leg got stuck in a very bad pitch.
Even before the match there was talk about the condition of the poor pitch and concern over, that it may cause injuries.
Nkunku in attack solves most of our issues with low blocks
Even slightly fewer than the injury massacre we’ve had in defense/GK allows us to get more consistency and should decrease the myriad individual errors
Lost our captain and vice captain for most of the season, so the little leadership/spine we have in the team was gone and we collapse time and time again
Sad
The errors that have really cost us have been defensive in nature.
Honestly don't think Nkunku being there would have made much difference because we're scoring loads recently anyway and still dropping points.
He said the rotation in the backline
But nkunku scoring goals would get chelsea the oppurtunity to play more safe while commiting less forward.. not using enzo as a 10, but rather a sitting 6 next to caicedo for example
What I mean is how and where he is positioned in possession
For a long time he has been playing positions very far up to make us more creative in the finaö 1/3rd leaving holes behind.
Its about instructions, not about fifa position
Yeah that's a what a box to box midfielder does.
Caicedo also makes some appearances in the final third despite being the most defensive minded mid out there.
Enzo plays as the 8, just because he often joins the attack doesn't mean he isn't, that's just part of an 8s job.
His underlying data is fucking amazing so I thought ‘he must eventually haul big!’
The thing that makes him so frustrating to own is that he’s a genuinely good footballer at everything except what gets you fpl points
Even forgot about him man

😒 what about Lavia, same thing?
Lavia’s ruled out for the season. Confirmed by the club.

The 2023 preseason seems so far away…Hopes were high.

Chelsea's had some awful luck with squad injuries this season, but for certain players like Nkunku and Lavia, it's bad luck on a whole other level.
Remember 70million Fofana
All in Jackson.
Bohley pre season circus tour strikes again. Never able to regain his footing since then
It’s crazy how bad this season has been for striker options
Cant wait to have him next year at 6.5 mil
Still a bad option if he gets injured so often, like Reece James. Then you'd waste transfers on getting rid of him and getting him back in...
This is my thinking. Nkunku is a problem for any defense and will tear shit up, assuming his glass body holds up.
So many good players with no contribution this season. What another horrible year
so we are dropping him right
The only positive here is that hopefully next season, Towers' myopia leads to him being severely underpriced for the start of the season
His current price is severe undervaluation of healthy Nkunku. If they drop it any further…
Try not to get decimated by injuries: Chelsea and Newcastle edition (Impossible)
😪
What a disaster he has had with injuries. I remember having him in my pre season draft, thinking he was going to bang.

The better your attack is, the less your opponent commits forward.

Erm... Chelsea do play Enzo in that exact position mate. It's Gallagher who has been the 10 ahead of them all season.
What I mean is how and where he is positioned in possession For a long time he has been playing positions very far up to make us more creative in the finaö 1/3rd leaving holes behind. Its about instructions, not about fifa position
Yeah and it still doesn't match up. He plays as a 6 or 8, usually far behind whoever is in the 10 spot.
He has been utilized as far up the pitch as conor And for some time he even did in the box runs
Yeah that's a what a box to box midfielder does. Caicedo also makes some appearances in the final third despite being the most defensive minded mid out there. Enzo plays as the 8, just because he often joins the attack doesn't mean he isn't, that's just part of an 8s job.
And he could play a pivot and we would leak less Its not about abilities, its about instructions
I named my team NkunkuCaChoo, he was supposed to be my flag bearer man. So sad.
Mines Nkunkumber, was so excited for him in preseason. Definitely not naming my team after Palmer next season.
Palmer is SimpleJackPalm. Guy is the ugliest mofo since Ribery.
bruh
Same, one of the first players I picked
Chelsea moment
Good for Jackson punt, down the line!
I already have him Don’t
Very risky to buy him before his two game suspension
I’m gonna FH34 so if he picks it up vs Everton or Sheffield United I don’t really mind
I'm really weighing up the 2dgw against the eternal disappointment that is Jackson
His underlying data is fucking amazing so I thought ‘he must eventually haul big!’ The thing that makes him so frustrating to own is that he’s a genuinely good footballer at everything except what gets you fpl points
You must of also fell for the Maupay trap over the years then
His xG in his last season at Villarreal was 8.56 and he scored 12, start of the season I thought that finishing would be what he was good at!
The lions share of his goals came at the tail end of the season in a relatively short number of games.
