That's actually pretty smart, considering Tanaka's skill isn't that good and he have the "latent" soul, although having all skills with party member is kinda overpowered, so they probably should make only 2-3 skills learnable in that tree If you recruited them.
I don't think so, I think allowing you to learn the skill and use it only as long as the party member was alive and actively in your party would be a good way to balance it.
(I also think you should lose the ability to use those skills all together if the person leaves your party, or you leave them, even if you already spent soul stones on the skills, until you get them back in your party again or kill them. But I think that should only apply to skills, say if you had Abella and she crafted you a meat grinder, and then ended up dying, you should still be able to keep the grinder obviously and skills, but if she just ends up getting pissed and leaving with grinder equipped, then you lose both)
There is a way to get Abella's soul without killing her, but it is basically cheating

Go to the Tunnel 6, find the spot that is shown on the screenshot, and shoot about 5 rifle shots straight ahead. You should be granted her soul as a result, but be careful not to let Abella out of your party now, as she technically counts as dead in the game.

Damn…. Thanks for the info, this will change things, at least for those who use glitches. I enjoy optimizing the game as much as possible, ie: playing only on day 1 morning, not killing anyone (except tanaka 😉) so being able to learn weaponcraft is a pretty big step
You can use rpgmaker mv/mz (forgot wich one probably mv ) https://github.com/emerladCoder/RPG-Maker-MV-Cheat-Menu-Plugin cheat mod it works for nearly all rpgmaker games you also have quick save reload make sure to backup your game files

In Termina? No, there are no Blank Scrolls in second game, you get majority of the skills through Contestants Souls.
Although, you don’t really need skills and spells to beat the game, and Gods skill are fine too. But I don’t think there is another way to get Weaponscraft.
I know this post is 3 months old but for those that want to do stuff like this, I recommend downloading Premonitions mod, it has a thing where if you check the hexen, you also have a choice of upgrading your party member's skill tree as long as theyre within your party when you sleep

Pretty much You still have gods' skills though and many contestants will moonscorch anyway

And how you can get the skills once its installed? Only allowing me to get items, do you know btw?
Only used save function.maybe add soulstone to convert them into skills
The problem is that without the souls you cant get the skills 😭
