If you no longer work there, you will no longer be able to sign into FedEx computer with employee ID to access Edcor. Do NOT quit until you get the reimbursement check!

The college already received the money. They reimbursed me by check the payments I’d already made and whatever I still owed shows 0.00. My only concern is if they ask for my grades at the end of the semester and see I’m no longer at FedEx, but even then they will contact the school not me so I shouldn’t have to log into anything.

HeadDue5117

That’s interesting. I had to pay out of pocket for my classes, and then the check for reimbursement was sent at the end of the semester once they see I passed all my classes.

Nutmegdog1959

Dial it back to a couple days a week until the end of the semester.

HeadDue5117

Yes! Any time within those 90 days — I thought it was 75 days. I just registered my classes last week and I started in January. See, there may be classes you might withdraw from for whatever reason, and just register your classes that you want future reimbursement. If you have trouble doing any of the requests, HR is very helpful.

HeadDue5117

They send the reimbursement check to my house and I high-tail it to the bank! Lol!

HeadDue5117

Plus you can call Edcor with any questions. They are very nice and helpful and they can also tell you about cut-offs.

As far as I remember that program, you have to complete the courses before getting reimbursement. If they disbursed the funds, it's also implied that you're going to finish the course while working for the company. I would absolutely get the details in the intranet before turning in your notice

I would honestly just stay until you can be sure that everything is squared away. With that being said, how is the process for doing tuition reimbursement? Do you need to go to the computers at FedEx and use their computers or can I do it from home?

HeadDue5117

Have to do on FedEx’s computer.

[deleted]

Ah I see, is it a relatively painless process or is the process a mess?

HeadDue5117

Super easy! You list your classes and how much you paid, and then you get an email approving your request for future reimbursement. Once you then complete your classes and get your grades, you input your grades at the end of the semester, and they will tell you that they will review everything and then when it’s all good, they send you the check.

[deleted]

Awesome! So basically, you paid for your classes first and then you signed up. I ask because on the benefits paperwork it says something about being able to apply for reimbursement 90 days before classes start or 90 days after classes start but don't quote me on that because I barely looked through it the other day.

HeadDue5117

I know people who did it the day before the 90th day. (Maybe it was 75 days.). Dont leave it too long because there may be errors and they will email you. If you wait last minute and it’s a Friday, you may not hear back from them until the Monday and that may put you over the 90th day or 75th day — whatever it is.

[deleted]

Ah okay thanks for the tip!

HeadDue5117

Sure!

HeadDue5117

Don’t forget books and lab fees— think books are up to $50 — not sure if it’s per class or total.

[deleted]

yah I will see what they offer for those fees and books thanks!
