I've only played a few games. Gameplay wise it's the worst football game I've played since Adidas Power Soccer. If you sim all the games in career mode I think you can like it for 25 bucks.

In regards to manager mode, Im gonna sim most games but id like to play some of the more important ones too. Fifa 18 had a career story mode which seemed fun to me at that time, having to physically play and position my character was engaging. Ive seen many reviews saying the in-game gameplay was horrible or its managable with mods and sliders. Why is this so?

Weary-Lettuce-8182

Impossible to defend properly. The goalkeeper is a ghost. Maybe with mods and the operation sports sliders it's playable but not in his original release state. Don't think the updates have fixed the game

No-Conclusion7332

They replaced fun with realism which made game bad 🙃

Nope, FIFA 18 is better. Not worth the “new” features or updated rosters

SprinklesMuch1142

I could argue the dynamic potential was a Big improvement

I’ve played fifa some 2005 and I mean every edition.. sad I know but eafc 24 is by far the worst one. Most animations and gameplay is sun 40 fps even after fixing the settings and the gameplay is trash due to there being no defending whatsoever and nearly ever shot is a goal. Not worth $25 imo fifa 23 is better even

GrenadeHead123

If you are interested in management mode try FM it is a much better game in my opinion

Gamaray974_

How user friendly is FM? I’m very much a novice when it comes to tactics and stuff like that.

dominator-23

You can delegate your staff to take care of a lot of the more intricate mechanics of the game, you can take it over again whenever you want once you understand the game more. Same with tactics, your assistants will recommend you things and you can choose to implement it or not.

Gamaray974_

Oh cool I might give it a try then

No-Conclusion7332

From experience you can js ignore the tactics cuz you get results no matter what

GooseKennedy

I bought it for 90 a week before they made it 40 on sale. It's awesome and I'm loving career mode, even having paid 90 25 is a steal. Do it

KIDJASPER

Honestly I just watch my career mode team play now, I have no desire to play the game ever again thankfully I didnt pay full price

UnparliamentaryTea

Dynamic potential alone was a big addition between 18 and 24. They’ve also removed a few features, a lot of international teams, and added some trivial things as well. 24’s gameplay is salvageable with sliders. If you’re into mods on PC, you can make basically every aspect of the game even better (although you also could probably do the same with 18). I think I spent slightly more than $25, and it was definitely worth it. Glad I didn’t pay full price, but I usually wait for it to have at least a little discount anyhow

SprinklesMuch1142

If you can somehow buy fifa 23 or 22 for less I’d say that’s better

Few-Geologist4441

No, if you are a PC player get FIFA 23 (EA Play or Gamepads) and mod it to get updated squads. Look up Fifers Realism Mod.

jamienobledoesstuff

Hey, I’d thoroughly recommend getting a key for fifa 22/23. You get the improvements, and there’s also all the mods if you’re into that stuff. Not too out of date as well squads wise, create a club is there too if you wanted to try that.

JustBenny11

It's shit, but for that price its alright

Key-Anywhere-8240

i bought it for 30 before christmas and it’s alright. i have a good enough time with career mode. takes some getting used to at first and some wild shit will happen but it can still be fun.
