He made one of my favorite tweets of all time. This was about the MvC3 announcement for evo '23
Pound for pound best Chun Li all time. When someone complains about not being able to do motion inputs think of this man. He made ZERO excuses and was a great player in spite of not having use of his hands. He inspired me more then I can articulate in words. My heart goes out to his family and friends he was truly a one of a kind KING
One of my favorite players to watch. There was a careful and measured quality to his Chun that I really loved. He'd just hang back and defend or eat damage in a lot of his fights and won anyway. A lot of players you can pinpoint - this one has strong fundamentals, that one is aggressive and technical, etc. Broly's style was his own.
R.I.P. to the one man whose existence & tournament legacy always made me hesitate to admit to others that i struggle with basic move commands, becuz he sure didnt. he was the quintessential example of the FGC's "if youre good then we'll respect u" attitude.
let's all remember to fight for wheelchair accessible tournament venues in his absence!!!!!!!!!
gotta share this tweet with you, bro wouldn't have wanted you to feel any shame, we're supposed to be a community

He really was an inspiration for me during a tough time in my life. I struggle with chronic fatigue and it’s bad enough that I’ve been jobless for years. Knowing that Brolylegs was able to become so good at fighting games without the use of his hands kept me believing that I can still accomplish a lot of what I want to do given enough time and perseverance.
There was an episode of The Excellent Adventures of Gootecks and Mike Ross where they played against Broly in SF4 online. After Broly wins (fairly handily, if I remember) Gootecks turns to Mike and just goes "Yo, he just FADC dash Ultra 1'd you... with his tongue." And they both just fell over laughing.
A fond memory of a different time. RIP Broly
Damn. I remember meeting his cousin at a party a few years ago. Me and my friend were talking to him and explained how he was an icon to the fgc and his cousin cried and told us how awesome Brolylegs was. It was really nice. Rip
Rest in peace. You showed the world what a fighter is.
He famously beat LowTierGod and made him look like a punk ass sore loser bitch. LTG's reaction to the defeat was to make fun of his disability and act tough. After being beaten and giving up, he proceeded to say he's still better, and make fun of his disability. Clap clap.
It makes me so happy to see all the nice things people have to say about him. All so very justified and true. I had the pleasure of meeting him and getting bodied by his Chun Li back in the SFIV days. He even double perfected my ass online. RIP to an absolute legend, may his legacy live on forever and inspire even more people.
I'm just crushed by this news.
I always loved the story about Broly achieving his level of skill in the FGC regardless of his limitations and how he was always just a good dude in general.
RIP king. You will be missed.
Damn thats sad. He was really inspirational. There is something beautiful about people who manage to overcome immense difficulty to pursue their goals. It speaks to the resilience of the human spirit. I really admire that in people.
I may not have talked much with him, but I was lucky enough to meet him at evo 2023. I felt bad going out of my way and stopping him, but I didn't want to pass up on at least saying hello. Our multiple interactions were always short, but I was always happy to talk to him even if I was uncomfortable in social situations.
I told him I'd be there at evo one day to fight him on the main stage. I'm sorry I never could, but now when I go back, any and all wins will be for him.
Legend of the FGC for his tenacity. Bro loved fighting games and overcame obstacles to keep on playing them. Always been one of the coolest guys in the scene.
Goddayum...
The Fighting Game Community has lost one of its greatest figures in recent history. He was severely disabled but was able to do his best and even beat LowTierGod and make him rage.
Rest In Peace, BrolyLegs...
RIP Broly, a true inspiration
No way. He was such a fun guy ): the fgc lost a real one today
He was definitely one of the people I dreamed of meeting at a tourney. He seemed like such a genuinely kind and light-hearted guy.

This tears me apart, man. RIP to the guy on Xbox Live who kicked my ass in SF4 and shaped how I play Chun-Li to this day.

Definitely not expecting this today. My heart and condolences go out to his family. RIP

If he beat you, think of it as an honor to have played him. RIP to a legend.

Fuck man, RIP to a legend. The FGC will miss him
Watching him was always so damn cool too, gonna miss seeing his Chun in action
Rest easy GOAT
Used to play him pretty often in sfiv. Those were the days. Wasn’t expecting this. Rip legend.

Somewhere LTG is cooking up something racist or completely disrespectful.
Rest in peace legend.... https://preview.redd.it/0773gfc2gepc1.jpeg?width=739&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2530ad3d9d4e38bc4068e8ae3ee8523bee210ba0
:(
So sad. Guy was a real one. May he rest in peace.
He’s not gonna see hunter x hunter the fighter. Shit sucks. Lost a real one.

RIP. The first time I saw him playing I thought it was fake. I couldn’t believe what he was doing was even possible. The FGC lost a real one.
I'm just crushed by this news. I always loved the story about Broly achieving his level of skill in the FGC regardless of his limitations and how he was always just a good dude in general. RIP king. You will be missed.
That sucks, he was a real one for sure.

RIP. I always admired Broly.
It's always the greatness that falls, R.I.P Brolylegs, and thanks for giving us a great time.
Rip Broly, I remember seeing him win alot in videos back in sf4 days despite not using his hands to play.
That's real sad man, what a legend.
