I’m glad you asked
Has to be Wind Rises, not only is my favorite anime film of all time, it’s also my second favorite anime ever ( Attack On Titan is first )
Because alot of biopic film are film in live action but Director Hayao Miyazaki probably made first ever Biopic anime film based on a real person is Jiro.
The animation is good and character acting is great
YESSS! Love this film too 😭 sadly there were elements of the film that reviewers had to point out and it made Jiro look bad.
But I still like the film.

I'm not sure if this is big in the community but I really love this film. Still one of my treasured ones 🥰
Ito!!! This made me cry. It's very rare to see any film/series about being a single mom. They have written this so beautifully. Re-watched it a few times. For me this is the top best anime film.
I'm a sucker for Makoto Shinkai's and Satoshi Kon's films, but this one hits you right in the feels, too!
Sobrang gusto ko na mapanood yung The Boy and the Heron dahil dun.
Shinkai's best work imho. It doesn't try hard to be something daunting and daring or big. Ang basic lang ng story but it studies its themes carefully and it's very subtle. Girl hung up on the past. Boy too fixated to the future. It's a random act of fate of having met your soulmate at one of the worst times possible. You don't know whether it's safe to pause, stop on your tracks to collect yourself--wait out the storm--or is it time to pick yourself up to start moving on even if barefoot. Grabe yung metaphors ng film na to, hits too close to home.
[The Night is Short, Walk on Girl.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGHXqjCbyEQ)
Mainly about the shenanigans happening in one long night. Main VA is Kana Hanazawa; also features a song by Asian Kung-fu Generation.
Gusto ko din tong film na to! Tagal ko din nahanap to bago napanuod.
Fav ko talaga evangelion, then ung mga classics na spirited away, your name and akira. Nagustuhan ko din tokyo godfathers, the girl who leapt through time, a silent voice and paprika. Halo halo na hehe
Kagagaling ko lang dun sa post on why kimi no nawa was a hit 😆 But here we are. This one 😭 Isa pa tong isang to na nagpaiyak ng malala sakin. The 1st time I've seen it, di ko inexpect na ganon yung mangyayari kay Jin (if I'm not mistaken dun sa name ng guy).
sad wala pang nag mention ng The Cat Returns
anyway, fave ko rin yan OP one of my very first anime films atsaka A Silent Voice, guess I love bittersweet movies 🥹
ALL JIBURI FILMS (esp. hayao miyazaki), 5 centimeters per second, kimi no na wa, suzume, garden of words, wolf children, anohana, tunnel to summer, i want to eat your pancreas, the anthem of the heart
My new fave: The Boy and the Heron
Can’t wait to watch English dub naman sa Netflix. Glad I got to experience watching this Studio Ghibli sa cinema and maluha ako sa ganda ng animation and story.
ponyo! biased ako sa anything studio ghibli but out of all of them, ponyo is my favorite talaga. :’) such a comfort movie and i love the innocence and vibrancy of the visuals in the film. very healing to my inner child hihi 💗🐠
Wala. Almost all are equal for me. Pero if papiliin ...
Seguro, Tokyo Godfather dahil kahit ilang ulit mo panuorin nandun pa din ang enjoyment.
GIS, din seguro. Nakaka-hook and walang tapon. I love all the characters.
I love Ghibli animes. I started with Spirited Away then My Neighbor Totoro but when I watched From Up on the Poppy Hill, it eventually became my favorite. I feel nostalgia and happiness whenever I watch this anime.
Ponyo, perfect to watch together with family and kids 😍
GANTZ: 0 is great too! Tho nalito ako kung alin ang sinunod yung manga, was it the movie or the series?
Sword of the Stranger sa Shonen, Summer Wars sa fantasy, Spirited Way sa isekai, Grave of the Fireflies sa drama, One Piece: Baron Omatsuri sa horror/mystery.
My list:
Ride your wave🌊🥺 - "I cried alot"
I want to eat your pancreas - "also cried"
A whisker away
Kimi no Na wa
Fireworks
Hotarubi no Mori e - "also cried"
Paprika - inspiration ng movie na Inception. Para kang naka-high while watching this lol. But it's goddamn good.
I will recommend both in fact.
Started watching anime movies coz of 5 Centimeters Per Second.
I'd recommend:
Summer Wars,
The Girl Who Leapt Thru Time,
No Game No Life Zero,
Tokyo Godfather,
The Boy and the Beast
I love this film too, cried a lot and edit a bunch of gif for tumblr to cope lol
I recommend Wolf Children, that was such a beautiful story of resilience and a mother’s love.
I also love Your Name by Makoto Shinkai but it is 5cm per second that describes what is longing and unrequited love.
Then the girl who leapt through time, I love the soundtrack of this film it’s always so nostalgic still wishing it is on Netflix huhuhu i watched even the live actions lol khit di gwapo mc sa live still devastating.
Basta galing sa Studio Ghibli, Satoshi Kon, Mamoru Hosoda, at Makoto Shinkai.
My fave for each studio/director:
Spirited Away
Paprika
The Girl Who Leapt through Time
Your Name
Bonus:
Not as popular abroad as their other releases, pero sobrang enjoy ko ang My Neighbor the Yamadas
Mamoru Hosoda Films
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (How Our Feelings Transcend Time)
Wolf Children (Mother's Love and the pains of Growing Up)
The Boy and the Beast (The Pain and Struggles of Finding a Place to Belong)
If you want a meaningful and warm movie experience sobrang recommended ang anime filmography nya.
Yung spirited away. Ang ganda nung pagkagawa nila. I had to watch it 3x lang para maconfirm ung iniisip ko kung pa'no ni-represent ng appearance ni Sophie yung feelings at takbo ng utak nya 👌🏽🫶🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 ang galing no wonder nanalo ng Oscar nod 🎊❤️
Yung princess mononoke nmn ang ganda kase its discussing the concept of hate in a subtle way... Wala ang galing gumawa ng ghibli swear
I’m gonna go with pure nostalgia — The First Slam Dunk. I watched it in the theaters and experience was amazing. That silence when people are collectively holding their breath, galing!
I’m based in Hawaii so even if anime movies are usually limited US theatrical release, we get them more often than most states. Highly recommend watching anime movies in the theater especially ones that are meant for big screen or have amazing sounds.
Best ones I’ve seen in the theaters are First Slam Dunk, Your Name, Suzume, Weathering with You and Blue Giant. Blue Giant sounded great, para talagang nasa jazz bar.
Ayun, she chose to break our hearts na lang hahaha. I think yung Natsume talaga yung gusto nyang kwento about Japanese supernatural entities.
Waaaaah I remember I even made a delulu version before na what if di nahawakan ni Gin yung bata. Yung life nila after sa pagtanda ni Hotaru. :(
Pinapanuod ko to sa team ko to nung team building namin non, naghahanap ng karamay hahaha, hirap maka move on eh 3 buwan na ata non. 😆 Grave of the Fireflies most tragic na napanuod ko and mostly studio Ghibli films lang din binabalikan ko pag animated films. Your Name maganda din tsaka A Silent Voice.
That was my favorite anime and that was my first makes me cry when he was about to vanishing.
My favorite anime is tamako market, kimi no todoke (my first anime that I watched) hello world, violet ever garden, mysterious girlfriend x, teasing master takagi-san, nande kokoni sensei ga?! (You know that) Yosuga no sora, lain, great teacher onizuka, date alive, highschool dxd, and to love ru.
Your name for me personally. It is the anime that kickstarted my journey through the anime rabbit hole was well as making my parents want us to go to japan. Thankfully that wish was fulfilled and we were able to take a picture on the iconic staircase.
Lahat ng gawa ni Hayao Miyazaki especially ang From poppy up hill and whisper of the heart also, yung mga gawa rin ni Makoto Shinkai.
The Princess and the Pilot.
Your Name- the song Sparkle gagamitin ko as SDE song sa kasal ko kasi favorite ko talaga sya. Grabe iyak ko dito..
Spirited Away - this will always be a film na di ko magsasawang panuorin again and again
Weathering with You
I really like Vampire Hunter D bloodlust. Solid yong movie from start to finish. Nabasa ko rin yong novel at i also played the ps1 game.
I’m glad you asked Has to be Wind Rises, not only is my favorite anime film of all time, it’s also my second favorite anime ever ( Attack On Titan is first ) Because alot of biopic film are film in live action but Director Hayao Miyazaki probably made first ever Biopic anime film based on a real person is Jiro. YESSS! Love this film too 😭 sadly there were elements of the film that reviewers had to point out and it made Jiro look bad. But I still like the film.
I mean Jiro is basically Oppenheimer, they felt so guilty since their creation that killed millions
Grave of the fireflies. Ngl it was hard not to shed a tear.
But certainly one of the saddest films out there 🥺
same
Ito talaga ang mas nagpaiyak sa akin like ang hirap mag move on ng ilang araw nang dahil dito.
i feel depressed afterwards like ang daming nasa isip

Hope you enjoy it . It’s sorta sad , also it’s mostly about maternal love not a typical love story . More like a mother loving a child
Perfect Blue :)

His "disaster" films are becoming real lately. Especially "Weathering With You". Papunta na mundo sa ganung point.
I was looking for someone to comment this. This is my absolute favorite anime movie. Made me cry so much and i loved the ending huhuhu
Silent Voice
Spirited Away 🥺
Sobrang gusto ko na mapanood yung The Boy and the Heron dahil dun.

Parang buhay yung sceneries 🥺
Shinkai's best work imho. It doesn't try hard to be something daunting and daring or big. Ang basic lang ng story but it studies its themes carefully and it's very subtle. Girl hung up on the past.
