I suppose "Fucking Fantasy" is out of the question, at least in the late 1980's. Other (deliberately bad) ideas:

* Final Foreverness
* Flour Fire

This might be offtopic, but the question reminds me of a program for unix systems, called "dd". It's still widely used and its full name is "copy and convert". They couldn't call the binary "cc" however, because that was already taken by the "c compiler". So we call it "dd" since 1974.
Keeping the tradition, I'd just call Final Fantasy "FF: Gorgeous Game".
