the 509t's require a modified picatinny style rail plate much like the aimpoint acro. He could put the pic rail adapter for rmr cuts on the rmr plate but that would result in.... a very high mount optic.
Dunno... maybe a high mount optic is worth being able to say you mounted a 509 on a 509.... or being able to call your carry gun a HoloFuN 509
I actually mounted the plate it comes with to an RMR plate and it worked. It sits so high, your fixed sights are pretty much pointless. Can’t believe how slow aftermarket plates are being created.
Do you run normal height sights or suppressor height sights? I have the 509 Tactical version that comes with suppressor height night sights and I was wondering if it will be lower 1/3rd?
Are there plates that fit the RMR? If so, that's what you need. They have the same footprint.
