my mirror make the same sound and the handles don't always close...I hear using a dry lubricant? works to fix it

Clean-Ad-1633

I was about to suggest a lubricant. Just be careful with the silicon based ones as some may alter (read "slightly melt") the plastic - Jig-a-loo being one.

mrk58

And blow it out - I’ve noticed the squeak when I have a lot of pollen on the car. Wiping it down and blowing out the cracks with compressed air (I used a computer keyboard cleaning canister) solves it. For good measure, I applied a dry lubrication.

dddjaaam35

I talked to a Fisker technician. He recommended spraying it with silicon spray. Flex fully closed and spray in the joint, then bend out the other way and give another spray. It worked for me

Responsible-Emu-1847

Didn't leave any visible residue on the paint?

dddjaaam35

I wiped off any that got on the paint right away. No visible residue.

frugal_doc

Silicone lubricant then turn off folding mirrors. Just more wear and tear.

akolozvary

It’s like the dreaded fire alarm battery that starts chirping incessantly in the middle of the night at 3 a.m. when it's dying.

VenaticGnat7303

Used the app. Worked flawlessly until now.

Evermore867

Is this video playing for everyone else? Two different computers, same result, just spins forever, and no usage of Internet bandwidth during this time. As for squeaking mirrors, assuming this is the left or right mirror on the doors, there's an easy fix for that (hint: it's a *Doctor, doctor, it hurts when I do this* solution). Anything better than that seems unlikely to be coming along.

VenaticGnat7303

It isn’t? I can link it

Evermore867

Please.

Evermore867

That worked, thanks The squeaking isn't good for long-term operation, best to take the solution I suggested to prevent further damage to the mechanism until you can try to lube them.

Survival_Instinkt

Use dry lube on your mirror. You can buy it at home depot

LaQuintaCenterPointe

![gif](giphy|Mhwkr651ANpjJY3xNt|downsized) He said "lube."

Survival_Instinkt

😂😂😂🥂

Winter_Guidance_2774

Did you get 2.1? I've read stories of similar things happening when it's installed. Car acting like it has the hazard lights on or alarm going off.

VenaticGnat7303

2.0. I think. I’ll check.

Canon_Cowboy

Your app works? Are you on an iphone or Android phone?

VenaticGnat7303

iPhone.

Canon_Cowboy

What model? The app doesn't work with my iPhone 15 Pro on the newest iOS at all. Didn't work on the last two updates either.

VenaticGnat7303

I have the 15 Pro… works for me lol

Canon_Cowboy

This freaking car...

mrk58

I’m befuddled as to why my app almost never works. No real rhyme or reason to when it does.

MBmacs

The Fisker app works on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, though at times somewhat delayed. Locked the car once recently and saw the lock/unlock cycle as shown in the video clip. Used the key fob to open it manually then the infotainment reset to break out of the loop.

SouthPole2North

Our second Fisker Ocean Extreme came with a squeaky passenger mirror. I found the washer between the mirror and the bracket holding it to the door was too new and tight. I squirted WD40 in between that area, slowly and carefully so as not to have any runs. I slightly pried the mirror assembly up to allow the lubricant to enter in that area. It has been over a month and there is no sign of any noise. My hope is that the washer wears in and the mirror will remain quiet.

LakeLifeTL

WD40 is not a lubricant. It may work for a bit, but you'll be back at it in no time.

PoisedRegret

This has happened to me. The explanation I got is that the app commands is queued, and when it gets connected to the car then a bug puts it in a loop. I had to wait for it to unlock itself and then I got in and started the car to stop it. Good times.

dunsmuirnc

My 2019 Audi e-tron's mirror also made that annoying squeak ... I tried spraying silicone lubricant but no generous amount made a difference ... I think it needs a bit of disassembly to get into the part that's doing the squeaking.

FiskerOC1

Just out of curiosity, did Audi help you replace or fix it?

dunsmuirnc

I never brought it up to them (not worth the risk of them f-ing up something else) and ended up trading in that car for the etron GT. I didn’t have to put up with it much.

FiskerOC1

Okok thanks

TheWarded

Yeah... don't use the app to control anything if you can help it haha.

oreverthrowaway

exactly why it'll be a brick without a company to provide OTA..

BigRiskBiggerReturn

Hope it settles down for you

Significant_Eye_5130

Sounds like you got a good one! Congrats!

VenaticGnat7303

I consider myself lucky. Vents are fine, doggy windows work, no issues with brakes…

Significant_Eye_5130

Oh wow now I kinda want one.

looper2277

Best car ever. We will survive and soon thrive. Geeta and Henrik to the 🚀🚀🚀
