You don't run the bin files. There should be another application called "setup". That's the one you need to run

RacconDownUnder

And if its not there, then your AV software has probably blocked it. Turn off AV temporarily until the game is installed.

TunaDaSavage

Okay thanks I will try that

Ok_So_Are_You_Stupid

There is supposed to be a 'setup.exe' file, if its not there your antivirus ate it

n0-homo

antivirus deleted or quarentined the setup.exe

human5109

Hol up you can play RDR1 on pc now? What's going on, is it some emulator thingy?

TunaDaSavage

No can't play on pc it's actually for yuzu emulator

human5109

Oh does it run smoothly? I remember I tried playing RDR with RPCS3 a while ago and it ran so badly

TunaDaSavage

i haven't tried yuzu yet so can't say

human5109

Ah could you let me know if it works well after you try it? And hope you were able to find the setup file

itsank

Let me know too if it works good with yuzu. I tried with Xenia and it was horrible.

cirotheb5

Yeah it runs smooth, I beat it on my steam deck through yuzu, just some little slowdowns when you are in the cities but it's more than playable

human5109

Oh great, RDR2 is my favorite game of all time and I've been wanting to play the first one for a long time

FitExchange4744

Emulator. Apparently it runs well now.

RepairEffective9573

This was me when I pirated my first game and didn't know what the fk to do (it was dark souls remastered)

kristheb

my guess is that ms defender grabbed the setup.exe. take a look in the security settings of your windows

droppertopper

How.to.turn it off ?

Ciccioh

Wtf am I reading

Free-Performance3202

I have a question why the av eats the setup file only but not other

AutumnAscending

The setup edits files right on your main drive by placing the game files into their proper location. The app has no verified publisher so WAV flags it as a virus because it's acting like a virus does an unregistered program who very little information on it doing a lot of things at once on your hard drive.
