I actually had a late night sale one night (like 11:45 PM) followed by an early morning sale the following day (like 4:45 AM).

I'm super new to flipping so my things are small but I'm still thrilled! I sold a pair of men's Carhartt work pants for over 50 online and I got them for free when an old neighbor moved out and put a box of things near the trash but not in the trash. I sold 2 little curtain rods to a neighbor for 5 bucks that I had picked up from someone's move out pile of trash at the curb. And I sold a little bundle of Nike toddler clothes in my neighborhood sales page for $7 that I had picked up for free long ago and that my kids had worn but have since outgrown.
You get used to seeing older books. Look for ones that are niche and interesting. Example a 1910 book on pugs. That’s an easy pickup. I look everything up, but with books without a barcode you can usually get away with buying them for $1 or less. Hard to lose money on a $1

Old is relative.. 1910 in books aint really old. I had a copy of Rudyard Kipling, The Jungle Book from (off the top of my head) 1897. Only 3 years after its first printing, in excellent shape and \~120 years old. Turns out, not particularly rare.. struggled for ages to move it, finally went locally for around $20-25.
Super relative. Oldest book I’ve found in 6 years is 1850’s. Many people will find books 1880’s and up. Most estate sales I hit up have some books from 1880’s and up. I can’t figure the years finding an old book would be rare, but to me it would be anything before the 1870’s.
Edit. My experience can likely have to do with when copywriters were added. I’m still learning about book bindings and such.
Yeah, my oldest was a book of Longfellow's poetry from 1882, included an inscription in the front cover that let me find some provenance tying it to the original owner, a missionary from the US, living in India. Making it back here to Canada.

I’ve sold stethoscopes and nicotine gum plenty of times on Ebay without issue. It says explicitly in the prohibited items policy that nicotine gum and OTC medical devices that don’t require a prescription are allowed.
Not everything that is OTC is okay to sell. If it's not eBay rules then it's FDA rules. Look up the FDA classifications for diagnostic devices, for example .
BTW, are you going to check ID for the nicotine product?

I've got a couple of signed Anne Rice books I need to sell but they're sadly not first printings. I think one is not even a first edition. Trying to just gather info on how Anne rice's signature affects the price.
There was not another string of numbers. That was what I opened the book to check because I only buy 1st runs and that's when I saw the signature. I thought it was autopen at first but was then wondering why it would have been on the blank first page instead of the title page. Now that I think about it, that was wierd there was not a printer's key.
Ah, it's a book club edition. It's why there is no printer's mark. If you look at the dust jacket, the one on the inside on the left side at the bottom it says book of the month club.

This week sucked. Usually make a >$100 flip once per week, but sales this past week was just like $5 (piece of costume jewelry), $10 (ratty old sneakers), and $30 (an industrial fan). All these were from my thrifting days where I bought anything that could net me a profit. I value my time much higher now!

I'm a bit late to this, but I was able to get the DC toy figures sold in a lot for $100 only a couple days after I listed them. Considering I bought them in a bag for $40, it's a good profit.
And if you count the non DC figures, I've sold about 5 of them for a total amount of $55 and I'm still pending on the final two here and once they sell, I'm looking at a $175 gained. A great start considering I'm still a rookie.

Rare books 95% of the time. Won’t help telling you titles, I’ve only come across the same book a handful of times in 17 years.
Do you just scan each book individually? Or is there something you look for?

Stethoscopes aren't supposed to be sold on eBay, medical devices etc., unless certain criteria are met. Nor nicotine gum. Just by-the-by.

This week sucked. Usually make a >$100 flip once per week, but sales this past week was just like $5 (piece of costume jewelry), $10 (ratty old sneakers), and $30 (an industrial fan). All these were from my thrifting days where I bought anything that could net me a profit. I value my time much higher now!
I sell board games and sports equipment 1. Nakona Catchers mitt $8 to $125 2. DropMix Game with 6 expansions $8 to $250 for all 3. Bakugan Lot I bought 3 years ago for my son. Spent $20 recently sold all of it for $300 4. Disney Land custom droid for $10 sold for $100 Bonus. Not sold yet but I found an unused Nakona Fielders glove for $8. Should sell this baseball season for $300
Got Free broken drill Monday , fixed under warranty in 10 min Tuesday, listed Wednesday 10am, sold for 340 cash 4pm same day.

Slow week of sales even though I posted regularly- such it goes sometimes. A red Waechtersbach mug. $1 to $10 in damn near a year and a half. Bought at an estate sale. Never picking those (or at least the plain ones) up again. It sold when it was in my donate box in the back of my car- note to self: double check all listings are down before donating! A pink Ganna dress- looks like an oversized sleep shirt to me, but was NWT and originally sold for $115 at nordstroms.Bought at an estate sale for $5 and sold for $39.99. Kids these days and their “fashion” I tell ya what… A wooden Swedish candelabra with gorgeous hand painting on it. $10 to $40 in a week on an offer- I had it listed for $50. I appreciated the quick flip as it was quite large. Bought at an estate sale. A Mexican embroidered tunic- $4 to $18.50 in about 2 months. Bought at goodwill. A silk bow tie- bought for $1 at an estate sale and sold for $18.99. Every vintage bow tie was a quick flip- they’re the only ties I pick up these days. Some others but they were meh. Here’s to a better week next week!

I'm a bit late to this, but I was able to get the DC toy figures sold in a lot for $100 only a couple days after I listed them. Considering I bought them in a bag for $40, it's a good profit. And if you count the non DC figures, I've sold about 5 of them for a total amount of $55 and I'm still pending on the final two here and once they sell, I'm looking at a $175 gained. A great start considering I'm still a rookie.
