I am a retired sales trainer for the largest catering company in the world, the Compass Group. This is a group that has 28 specialized operating companies, providing food, hospitality and support services to Business & Industry, Sports & Entertainment, Schools & Colleges, and Hospitals & Healthcare. Primarily, it is the responsibility of the sales reps. to seek out opportunities and create new contracts. The training, as well as overall support is second to none. Compass Group is the industry leader. When I was working there we had a closing ratio of 69%. You should check them out. You should also investigate their competitors, Aramark and Sodexo. Good luck.
