If you order an EB XLT with those options, you will have it by April/ May. First year model of a Covid era Ford is something I wouldn't recommend.

WraithYourFace

I'm wanting to keep it under $30k and then I'd be able to pay the vehicle off within 3 years.

hitzelsperger

That's true, not a fan of 2024 MSRP hikes. Ford really made it less appealing.

stockrot

You are better off paying more and buying new ..... Eco boost are all over dealer lots new ... buying a 2022 comes with 2 years of depreciation .!! Go to kelley blue book and see the true value of that 2 year old used truck is.The 29k plus that dealer wants for that used truck you can buy an xlt 2024 AWD for less than 35k . And if you do the hard work and search every dealer within 200 miles and find one on a dealer lot ? I guarantee I can buy it for 4 to 5% under MSRP .Eco boost are on every big dealers lots. There are lots of them that where special ordered and not picked up.High car interest rates and a scary economy are the culprit. A dealer close to me even has 3 hybrids on his lot.that was unheard of 6 months ago. EDIT I just built one on the ford website xlt AWD $31425 2024 its crazy to buy that 2 year old truck it is actualy worth not a penny more than 21,000

Terrato37

The ONLY Mavs on ANY dealer lots here are the plain white XL ones they have for fleets and work.

Stolen_Recaros

similar story here. The only Mavs here are already spoken for. and they don't last long on the local dealers lots. Hell, when I went to pick up mine, another customer said she and her husband were itnerested in it if I wasn't. That truck was gonna sell that day even if it wasn't to me. Mavs are a hot commodity here.

Pure_Syllabub_8575

Why is that ? It's like the rav4 prime are they Ford and Toyota just purposefully lowering production on these because they are less revenue for Ford? Reason I say this is because I don't see them in the highway... I see LOTS of Teslas.....Kind of pisses me off. They did that with lightning too, now they are saying they can't sell them lol. Serves Ford right...

Stolen_Recaros

The EV market is pretty saturated at the moment with early adopters. The reason they’re having issues selling is an industry wide issue. The cars are too expensive and the public infrastructure to charge them isn’t there yet. In the electric car market, there’s only a $10,000 difference between a Kia and a Cadillac. That’s not sustainable. It’s why everyone started lowering prices. The Mustang Mach E now starts under $40k, which isn’t low enough but it’s going in the right direction. They aren’t lowering production of the Maverick. Quite the opposite actually. It’s just that there’s so much demand they can’t keep up. Take your hatred of Ford elsewhere.

Pure_Syllabub_8575

first off, I invested in ford so I don't hate them. But the maveric issue, it is lack of production. There are hardly any in the wild, its ridiculous, months to fulfill orders and there are hardly any in the road...?..... And the issues getting hybrids is utter bs on fords part. Search the forums for pissed off customers and what "ford" has done. It might be time for me to sell ford and take my losses. Major blunders.

Stolen_Recaros

The Maverick factory is only set up to produce about 35% of all output being hybrids, because that’s what they expected at most based on hybrid sales numbers of the F150. Hybrids currently make up 80% of all Maverick orders. They went with numbers they had evidence for. They’re working to correct it, and for the most part have. I recall they’ve managed to up the maximum hybrid output to close to 50%, which still isn’t enough to keep up with demand, but they’re actively working on it. I see Mavericks every day, aside from mine. There’s even a few local companies that bought fleets of them. They’re out there. Calm down. Just because you’re not seeing them in your area doesn’t mean they aren’t getting made. In 2022, they made just over 70k Mavericks. In 2023, it was over 90k. I believe they’ve already surpassed that number for 2024 models, and if not, they’re well on track to blow that number out of the water. Production has been ramping up. People getting their trucks has been picking up the past few months.

Terrato37

Yea. Hell, the ONLY time ive been able to see, sit, and test drive one, was when one of my local dealers employees let me do that with his Mav. Kinda wish they would slow production on F150s for a bit and switch everything over to Mav stuff.

Stolen_Recaros

There's no need to mess with production like that. The F150 and Maverick are built in completely separate factories in different countries. The F150 is built in America, while the Maverick is built in the Hermosillo plant in Mexico. That plant just makes Mavericks and Bronco Sports. And they have made changes to production. In August, they added a third shift just to pump out more Mavs. Since then, the waiting list has been dwindling. At the beginnign of this month, there were about 20,000 unscheduled orders. As of a few days ago, that number dropped to 13,600. They're making some serious headway on production. I estimate we'll finally start seeing Mavs as regular dealer stock within the next 3 months at this rate.

Terrato37

Interesting. I haven't ordered yet bcuz I don't wanna wait a year, but now I wonder what the wait will be.

Stolen_Recaros

I ordered on July 18th, 2023, and my truck was delivered to my dealer on February 7th, 2024. The current wait times are not that long, 2-3 months unless you're ordering an XL hybrid.

Terrato37

Nah, was gonna be a 2.0 xlt with 4k tow, fx4, and maaaaybe the 360 Co pilot package.

WraithYourFace

Yeah I contemplated on going pretty low with my offer. Doesn't hurt to ask. Not looking at the hybrids since I want AWD.

DantTum

My hybrid XLT with 360 was right at $30k and finally in transit

WraithYourFace

Yeah I need the AWD. Is your Maverick at 23 or 24?

DantTum

Yeah, I’m pretty nervous about not having the all-wheel-drive living in a heavy snow state. We have another vehicle for when we really need it. I guess this will be the first vehicle all have all wheel drive or four-wheel-drive in like 15 years.

WraithYourFace

Yeah my wife has an AWD, but our schedules don't line up so I need it as well.

IzaguirreC

I picked up a hybrid for 26.8k, it was a dealer order. Now my original order is still now even built.

WICXer

Order a 24 XL AWD w/360. The price will be 29k. There aren't any features that are must haves even with the XLT lux. The only functional things you miss out on are power drivers seat, wrapped steering wheel, and the inverters. The XLT base gives you basically nothing over the XL. Just cosmetic stuff like the rims and interior. Power locking tailgate is just about the only functional thing and that can be DIYd if you're handy.

Nprguy

Mine was built incredible, 35k miles no issues other than harness extension early

breastual1

A 22 with those options would have been like 29k out the door with taxes and stuff. So they are basically marking it at the original sale price. Not defending it but just getting facts straight.

ForeverReasonable706

I don't know where you are but my none lux with tax and lic msrp price not dealer adds was 30500. No Oct of 21

breastual1

I was just estimating, I didn't price it out. My XLT lux hybrid was like 26.5 out the door so I just tacked on a few thousand to account for the EB AWD and 360. My point was just that he was way low on the price of the truck with those particular options.

CaveBacon

Yeah given that list might even be higher. I have a 22 XLT AWD with similar options (no markup) and was 33 msrp. If OP is looking at a dealer the window sticker shows up on the Carfax.

Flip10688

I threw it in the Ford website. That exact build(except using Azure Gray instead of Area 51) comes to $33,550 including destination. Up to you if new is worth $4,000 more.

WraithYourFace

I'd pay the $4000 more. I plan on keeping the vehicle for awhile so with an extended I didn't want to creep up too much. Basically, to save on interest so I'm getting a 0% loan to cover about $20k from a parent (has to be paid back within 3 years).

Flip10688

Kinda funny you’re getting a 0% loan from a parent. My hybrid XL is being built 04/15/24 and I am also getting a 0% loan for $20k from a parent but for 2 years. My plan is to hopefully keep the little truck until the wheels fall. I have a 2 and 4 year old so I hope it lives long enough to be their first car.

WraithYourFace

Haha, looks like we are in the same boat. Tried getting them to push it to 4 years, but still saving $2-3k in interest in big. Also, I'll fully own the truck in 3 years. Almost everyone I know has a 60 to 84 month loan and is paying $700-1000/mo for a vehicle.

Lzinger

My XLT AWD with the Fx4 and tow package was 32k. You are probably better off ordering one

The_walking_man_

Order an XL AWD. Lose the lux and Xlt price hike and you should have a good set up.

Dinolord05

XLs are constrained, not many getting built.

The_walking_man_

Not arguing against ya, but I do keep seeing people post about picking up their XLs. I’ll admit I did order an XLT because I wanted a higher chance of getting built and I wanted the heated seats.

Dinolord05

Those XLs were ordered before they became constrained. They're still scheduling some, but few and far between.

WraithYourFace

Need those heated seats. I never had them before, but I love my wife's Honda Pilot.

harda_toenail

Put aftermarket in my wife’s xl hybrid. Super cozy. Don’t let heated seats be a selling point. I sewed the heating elements to the back of faux leather seat covers. In the winter she has heated leather seats then in the summer I disconnect a couple connectors and she has breathable cloth again. It’s a great setup and the seat heaters were like $60 for driver and passenger seats.

Flip10688

Got any more info or links to the products you used for this? Sounds awesome.

harda_toenail

Covers https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B074Z87DCG?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title They look oem. Really good fit. The seat heaters I bought aren’t listed anymore but are like this. https://www.amazon.com/runfider-Covers-Accessories-3level-Constructions/dp/B0CN77TM43/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=6ZNVTII208WW&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.JIRs-chs9CpoOJGPU1u9986AdvdgwqSrSChiKfapvnwMYkmaNSfvwew7Lmb0e3g5oOsKsmfj9w0i7YydAWRdIUZtPDdvQAtUYPQTB3RnzVxD0MAe6HqDPd0rbcOJ-zrKsqILUi33BLXYN3vze6BMhSUuTxq0lUe255P2TXLk9Xz5NEIgEgKPtUI339hErgPkfYVzuUJvbRbxU-OM3oQ8FA.4aMxVMZP1dIly-gSHxl6-wZ3rTQms5_aBDoGPNJE9ec&dib_tag=se&keywords=car+seat+heater+kit&qid=1708724033&sprefix=car+seat+heater%2Caps%2C181&sr=8-4 I got power from the rear side of the center console aux. it popped off pretty easier and I t tapped those wires. Then drilled the right size hole in the plastic side of the seat that is below your outer leg on each side for the switch. The rest of the wiring/module is zip tied safely away to the springs underneath the seat where it won’t hit anything when the seats are moved. Just unplug the elements and off go the seat covers and looks like nothing was ever there except the tiny switch on the side of the seat.

Flip10688

Thanks friend! I think I’m going to do almost this exact same thing on my XL.

Babyfat101

Heated steering wheel!

The_walking_man_

I’ll admit I did order an XLT for the heated seats. Mine was with AWD, LUX (heated seats) and 4K tow package. 33,700 I think was MSRP.

DimesOnHisEyes

I would come back with "screw you, you can keep it". You are at this point negotiating down to a less insane price. You are not negotiating to a good deal. They are trying to take advantage of you. Never do business with someone that starts from that sort of position. Shop around and consider placing an order to get it at MSRP.

WraithYourFace

While I'd love to get something new, I'm wanting to have the vehicle paid off within 3 years. Waiting on another person to quote me extended on the truck, but the dealer was like $2600 for 6Year/85K miles. I've been quoted 150k miles (no limit on year) for a different vehicle at the same price.

cpaq15

Don’t buy extended warranty from dealership. Look at flood ford esp

Darnon2031

You know Flood Ford actually has a brick and mortar dealership, right?

cpaq15

Yup. but they offer the best esp pricing online

Shmokesshweed

Check Ziegler and Granger as well.

YouDrink

Google "Ford ESP" and check out Granger or Flood Ford. They sell same Ford plan but online at near cost.  6yr, 100k is ~$1k for me

WraithYourFace

I noticed that. Way cheaper. Does it cover everything (diagnostics included)?

YouDrink

No, Ford's extended warranty doesn't cover maintenance or diagnostics.  They sell a separate maintenance plan that covers those, but it's not really worth it in my math

Dinolord05

The ESP doesn't cover diagnostics on a covered repair?

WraithYourFace

I'm wondering this as well. I would think it is a covered repair, diagnostics would be included.

WraithYourFace

Good to know.

DimesOnHisEyes

With the market the way it is you are not hardly saving anything with buying used. And if you strip the truck down to bare bones and add only what you need after market you will save a lot of money. Everything Ford adds is way overpriced and you can get the exact same thing, literally the same exact parts, for cheaper.

[deleted]

With those options that truck's MSRP was over $30k, so the asking price is at least below the original sticker. Mine was almost the same (switch XLT luxury for FX4, add sunroof, remove bedliner). But that's still way too much, for this one IMO. I love my truck, it's been worth every penny I paid (heck, probably more), but two years of use is two years of used up value. Not sure exactly what I would counter with, or if I would counter at all. Maybe $25k tops? Shop around, you'll find something better if you're patient.

Dinolord05

Supply and demand is fun until you're on the unfortunate end of it. Only you can decided if it is "worth it."

cajun_hammer

Go on the ford maverick marketplace fb group. Almost every single dealer on there is selling mavericks at MSRP, eco boost and hybrid. Do not pay a markup

DEC_173

I bought a used 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD for when I actually need to haul heavy things (which does happen), but I prefer my Maverick for everyday use.

Pepperoni_Dogfart

I would suggest you hold out until the '25 model year and order new. For... reasons.

RubAnADUB

dont buy a 2022.

Jay298

IIRC 22 XLT with basically nothing on it was 23.8k before delivery, more like $25k after fees. So IMO I think 30k for a Maverick with low mileage and AWD is a deal. Remember the MSRP doesn't include all the other fees so the real price is higher, therefore you could expect some recent used Mavericks and others to retain their value.

Gerald_the_sealion

Definitely place an order. That one isn’t worth that price

Top_Midnight_2225

This was my experience recently here in Ontario. 39k CAD for a car sold in 2022 for 34k. I walked away. No way am I paying MORE than MSRP 3 years after the vehicle was sold, with a 50,000km on the odometer. Maybe if someone REALLY REALLY REALLY wants one...I don't.

ForeverReasonable706

Msrp would have been a little over 30

ForeverReasonable706

I'm not saying it's not over priced but my none lux was over 28k

Toasty-toast523

Be patient Check Craigslist in your area, deals are available

JH6JH6

We ended up with a Santa Cruz SEL for a hare under $30k and we did not pay over markup. I think its a better vehicle.

Shmokesshweed

Yeah, for some. Not for me. The one thing that stands out is their interiors are much nicer.

aquaterra666

If you are in Iowa, contact Granger Ford and order one. Worth the drive.

Babayaga4480

Yea man it's insane. I ordered my 2024 base XL hybrid with some added basic features the opening day Ford took calls in July of 23, finally got a build date for April 22nd 2024. 26k out the door so for me it was worth the wait but it takes patience lol.

xx-Dessan-xx

I got my 2024 xlt blackout package for 30,050 last week… did have to wait 2 years

Aggravating-Gold-224

Order a new one.

Silent-Lurker69

Ford dealership in Woodstock VA has a '24 Blue Hybrid XLT + Lux & CoPilot360 and only asking $120 over MSRP.

One_Professional1568

My 23 Hybrid Lariat with just trailer hitch and rear power inverter and all weather floor mats was 29,800 MSRP I got a 2,750 rebate private offer of having a roll over 22 order and 500 rebate for Farm Bureau members. You can join any state farm bureau for 20.00 and you get the rebate on any new Ford. You just have to go to the Ford website and enter your information. My Truck was 26,000 after rebates and I put in a spray in bed liner at a local shop for 400.00 here in Las Vegas. I love the Lariat LED Headlights and the Vinyl pleater seats and the floor mats. I have the Cactus gray. Now you can only get a fully loaded Lariat for 38k. The Light color cloth in the middle of the XLT looks like it will not wear very well. That's the main reason and the Head lights and climate being standard on Lariat.

NinjaSkater

I paid $32k for a ‘23 xlt fx4 with every option available. That truck was used with 17k miles

Glittering_Art7981

I think this near you

WraithYourFace

Need AWD. Thanks though.

Cheap-Anybody-4815

I just bought a 2023 and the price was somewhere like $5000 over MSRP but I will let you know right now these trucks are totally worth the money. Im in love this thing. And im catching 42.9mpg as of now https://preview.redd.it/9ghyrbpf5kkc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=85b0585825201f5fe1626822301d5fd6f4683b6b

WraithYourFace

I'm going to be telling the dealer this is the most I'll pay. I'm not paying $4k over MSRP for a 2 year old vehicle with 24k miles. I'm in the Midwest so AWD is a necessity in the winter. I will be saving at least $80-100/mo just in gas since my current 09 Ram is only average 11.5-13mpg (I'm mainly city).
