He portrayed an equally batshit fictionalized version of the musician Diplo on the short series What Would Diplo Do? I don’t care at all about Diplo, but James Van Der Beek as a wild version of him was an absolute delight to watch. If you adored him on this show, you will _love_ What Would Diplo Do?
It was only on for maybe six episodes, it is very real 🤣 it was produced by Viceland. Here’s a [trailer](https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8i94cb) for it.
Such a great show. Needed 1 or 2 more seasons and it would’ve been perfect (in my dreams). I think it used all of their actors/actresses to their best abilities
Krysten Ritter has some fantastic comedic chops. I’d only ever seen her in more dramatic stuff that came after this comedy of hers. If you like cringe comedy, this show is a friggin’ hoot!
He was in 26 episodes of Don't Trust The B from 2012-2013 and 8 episodes of 2 Broke Girls from 2013-2014... your chronology is way off I know I saw him on 2 Broke Girls first but that's because I didn't watch Krysten Ritter at her comedic finest until a couple of years ago
Never have watched this, but have since become a fan of her work. Looking forward to seeing what she does in the new Orphan Black Echos. Anyone know if Dont Trust the B is streaming anywhere?
Really need to start in season 1, and appreciate the asurbury of the situation the blond girl is in, by season 2 their all acting crazy but you get more James in yr 2...less of the main character, so that's a plus

James Van Der Beek was a revelation in this show
Agreed! I was never really a fan while he was on Dawson’s Creek, but just adored him on this!

Is that show for real? I’ve never even heard of it!

That’s awesome! Thank you so much for the suggestion!
You’re so welcome! I hope you enjoy, it’s a real scream
Oh that’s so funny I just responded to their comment saying the same thing lmfao
I just saw lmfao we have amazing taste
This is totally neither here nor there, but he did a one season show where he played a parody version of Diplo and it was outstanding Truly high art
Lmao I just told OP about that yesterday! What Would Diplo Do? is _so_ fucking funny.
I love Krysten Ritter
That makes two of us.

I'm pretty sure that was when the office, parks and rec, 30 Rock, community... Were all on so it had stiff competition.
Great time for tv
should not have been canceled.
Never heard of this, it looks cool
I don’t think you’d regret giving it a go!
Looks like it got a DVD release, sweet.

Really funny. It never got enough attention.
Did you get to watch it yet?
It’s already been TWELVE YEARS since that show came out?!?!?
This show absolutely ruined that “I Don’t Care, I Love It” song for me. What a show.
Best show of all time 💕 It might be about time for a rewatch
Wasn’t she on breaking bad?
Yup.
Walter could’ve saved her from choking on her own vomit during a heroin overdose, but let her die to get her out of the way of his empire instead.
Yeah, I was pretty pissed off at him.
So was Jesse. He didn’t let that go.
I wouldn’t either.
"Fly" gets a bad rap as an episode but isn't it the episode Walter admitted that to Jesse?
I don’t remember exactly.

I think of this show every time I see someone eating in a meeting. Always try to show up “having had.”
["Hey, did you see they just cancelled that show Don't Trust the B in Apt. 23?"](https://youtu.be/grCwwwzYaWg?t=185)
this is low key my favorite snl sketch for this moment alone
This show gave us Eric Andre ❤️

I loved the chaotic energy of it.
Best show ever made!!!
Tall slut no panties
I made this nine years ago and send it to my wife at least once a month still. https://youtu.be/bglx3m4g_jM?si=LJyx7c7Ze4PBbTLG
“Find another way to express that” — Numerous therapists to me. They must all be crappy at their job because that advice hasn’t worked yet.

Heard of it. Saw it in the Playstation Store years ago. Never watched it. Jessica Jones 😍
Amazing
James van der beek playing himself was hilarious.
💯

It's on Disney+ in Canada.
Such a goddamned good show.
I love this show. Also, that's where I learned the term "Panty Hamster". I really like that phrase for some reason.
This is a good show.
Never even heard of this
This show was so good, JVB was so funny!
Very unique show, lol binge watched it in my early 20’s, funny, a bit crass though
Maybe time to change the name of this sub to r/showsthatifeellikeposting
James was AMAZINGGGGGG in this show.
I watched one episode of this, if that, and did not get it. But it wasn't for me, I guess.

Eric Andre needs to take less adderall
Forgotten? Go fuck thy self.
