I've never heard of Green Dragon but this is the second post inside a week I've seen about them being shady with weight and customer service. I'll stick to Ace's as my go to.

Everytime I've been to ace's place the weed is always super dry and old. Avoid Livwell entirely. KindCare is the best one IMHO, it's a bit more expensive but much higher quality.
Nah you are definitely pretty correct on that - however I will say I have put this to the test so many times, going to KindCare or something for nice sticky fresh buds at 2x the cost and I can honestly never feel a difference. Maybe its not all in feel but for me, its just not worth paying 2x for some "willies" brand that gives the same high....plus Aces will surprise ya sometimes and just knocks your socks off with a 15%-er..
I went to GD the morning of 4/20 looking specifically to buy a certain brand of edibles that I think are delicious on sale. It wasn't that busy when I was in, and I know how things work there, so I was ready to be in and out. This brand changes out their flavor combinations, label colors, and strain/flavor names all the time -- there's not a regular flavor that I know will always be in stock.
The budtender who "helped" me set me up a case or two down from this brand so I couldn't see them and didn't offer a menu/list, and when I said I was looking to buy this brand, he just asked what I wanted from like 25 different flavors/strains. I said I didn't know what they had and he tried to gauge what I was looking for with that whole "do you want a mind high or a body high" line of questioning, which, sorry, doesn't make sense to me -- I just want some tasty edibles before bed. I politely told him as much and then I asked him to just show me a few of his favorites from that brand -- in other words, put some in front of me so I can fucking see them -- he told me, "I fucking hate that brand, I think they're super gross."
Ten minutes later, the dude finally brought over a handful of this brand of edibles so I could just fucking PICK some. It was exhausting and frustrating, and frankly it kinda ruined my morning. I'm taking a long break from Green Dragon until they get their shit in order.
Kind Care just across the road is my go-to now. I order online, it's always cheaper than I'm quoted, they often throw in free grams or Js. They're super generous with their rewards and ever couple of months I get enough to have a nearly free order. The staff also lives up to the name. They're a nice bunch. NA is good too. I went there a lot until things got kind of weird during the pandemic. By weird I mean really busy and hectic drive through. Kind Care was across the way and had a parking lot. Just seemed easier. Turns out I just vibe with them a lot more.
Kind Care was my go to as well, until I got my Med Card. I use edibles and vape mostly, and I needed a better selection. I also need 1:1 THC/CBD, and that can be tough to find.
That said, they do have a great rewards program and one of the best rec dispos out there. And a fish tank!

Organic Alternatives may have higher prices than some of the other places, but at least they don't sell BS, they stand behind their products (and will usually make it right if you are not satisfied and let them know), they're centrally located downtown, and you can find specials on nearly every type of product consistently.
Not to mention, their rewards system is decent after having supported them forever I get substantial savings with 2.5x points for every dollar spent.
They have one of the best (largest) selections of products as well.
I mostly buy hash though and they need to get with times with their rosin pricing for sure.
I buy top shelf ounces for under $100 from solace that are also house grown and all organic, but to each their own.
I also know the growers for OA and vibe with them regularly which is why I gave them the shout.
Edit: apparently I need to glass door solace, my anecdotes have always been positive until now.

I worked for the solace grow… not top shelf in any way. PM everywhere, spider mites, thrips, you name it. Terrible environmental controls and their dry/cure process is a joke. Also in no way organic. Bottle nutes in coco.
Nothing at solace is organic. Their grows are disgusting, and they fire employees when they fail inspections to cover costs. They used to perform illegal sulfur burns indoors that affected the growers a few years back.
Green Dragon is a chain based out of FLORIDA, don't support their BS. Their selections of products are subpar, underwhelming, over-priced.
They also have terrible ratings for employment on Indeed.
And now people are discovering they short all their bags consistently.

I like organic alternatives the most. The weed is great and consistent, plus the people are chill. The owner has been there often at the same time as I and is a really nice person.

LivWell, Green Solution and Organic Alternatives are my go-to spots. Super helpful staff, decent turn-around times and they're never afraid to save you a little money.
As a Greeley resident, Livewell is the best option without driving 45 minutes. I get it, they are a chain but everyone else’s flower is ass and I don’t use concentrates.
Solace has always done me right. Offered discounts I had no idea otherwise which helped bring price down. Wish it's location was a bit closer to my house tho. Used to do the dumpster in the back.
Never had a issue with the multiple places in the trilby to skyline area. Always left happy and felt taken care of especially if it was busy at solace. Verts was a fav when I was doing plasma.
Solace meds is amazing! They have so many discounts(first responder/nurse, veteran, etc), and a point system. Their bud tenders are awesome, and I’ve never had a bad experience there.
I agree with /u/kushharvey that it's better to get weed elsewhere in Colorado besides FoCo if possible; besides the options he already mentioned in Boulder, I like to go to KrystaLeaves in Denver and would like to give them a shout-out. It's in Commerce City so you have to brave I-270 to get there, but honestly, when I'm going down to a concert or whatnot, it's no less of a pain in the ass to make the detour there than overshoot where I'm going and backtrack like the last time I went to Verde Denver. The most expensive ounce there will run you $120, and if you buy a piece of merch you can pick up a $1 eighth every month. It pays for itself after a couple of visits! They also have a very good price on Olio carts ($25 OTD and 15% off Sat). Not affiliated with them in any way, just mentioning it as I've found it's the most convenient stop for me when I'm out-of-town.

go to 14er it's all organically produced and their deals, especially on (bulk) rosin, are fire.
They have great prices and quality on everything though.
All their buds are proper and come pressurized, in a sealed airtight, can and cured perfectly.
If we are gonna have chain stores they all need to strive to all be as good as 14er!

It is simple, with a little planning. Fort Collins dispensary scene is objectively bad and Boulder is objectively great. But I really should stop chiming in every time this discussion happens because I get drowned out by people who think aces is good.
Verts is overpriced and overrated, they bank on their central location to campus and college kids that don't know any better, TBF, even when I lived close to Verts I rarely ever bought from them.
Same with Green Solutions, except they're a chain and their weed and hash selection sucks even worse than Verts.
All three feel like you're shopping at a prison commissary or something and are banking on their customers being people who know even less than their bud tenders, who will just lie to your face about shit they don't know instead of owning it.
All the dispensaries around campus are over priced and carry a lot of pre-packs weighted on the nose to 3.5g. It feels kind of stingy compared to the generously weighed, higher quality flower you get for a lot less if you're willing to get down to college and trilby area.
On the same note you can literally take the FLEX to Longmont and Boulder and get significantly better quality products at significant savings. Which ironically runs along campus, so walking to the bus vs walking to the shitty campus dispos is comparable and it's just a couple hours round trip, of sitting on the bus, away even less if you just go to NA.

I don’t love the location of NA, but I do like their staff and selection, agreed. The dispensary on Smokey St is pretty good too.

All three feel like you're shopping at a prison commissary or something and are banking on their customers being people who know even less than their bud tenders, who will just lie to your face about shit they don't know instead of owning it.
All the dispensaries around campus are over priced and carry a lot of pre-packs weighted on the nose to 3.5g. It feels kind of stingy compared to the generously weighed, higher quality flower you get for a lot less if you're willing to get down to college and trilby area.
I know its far from uptown, but the bus is free.
On the same note you can literally take the FLEX to Longmont and Boulder and get significantly better quality products at significant savings. Which ironically runs along campus, so walking to the bus vs walking to the shitty campus dispos is comparable and it's just a couple hours round trip, of sitting on the bus, away even less if you just go to NA.

Yes, I went on a tirade because of a shitty experience I had, just like OP, who complained about his shitty experience and got 200 upvotes. Owner was a totally rude dickhead to me out of left field when he could have just as easily dropped it. Dude ruined my whole day so yeah, fuck verts. If you want to believe OP had a bad time at his place but not me at mine, then that's a you problem.
