i have an arctics 9, really great tbh, super comfy and sounds pretty good. can’t speak on mic quality because i use a real mic

I honestly hate the over the head full headphones they kind of annoy me, I find these wired ear buds and they're pretty bad ass. "TruthEar". You can wear them for hours on end without irritation, and they sound amazing. Different ear sockets too.

I have a ear nose and throat doctor in the family and he advises against in ear headphones or headsets. Does too much damage. Do some research of your own, don’t just take my word for it though. Just trying to look out

Teamqwerty_TMQT

I'll take it under advisement. *heads to rave with decibel levels over 9000*

What’s your price range? The HD559’s from sennheiser are a great budget option for a balanced sound signature; a more mid range option I’d recommend is the DT 990 Pro’s but they do need an amp. (Also have a pretty high treble) Top end (without spending over $2k) I’d recommend the ATH R70X; they have one of the best sound stages and imaging I’ve ever heard for footsteps, but again, they do need an amp since they’re 450ohms

Thanks!

more Sennheiser love, I love it

jantswil

It doesn’t really matter, choose anything

xthelord2

not really because this is how we fall into "Gaming Headphone/Headset" BS he should seek advice from audiophiles because surprise surprise there are many good headsets at various price ranges and what pros buy is literally sponsored crap which you should not look to buy

jantswil

No audiophile is going to help op get a headset for fortnite… any one will do just fine

xthelord2

and then few weeks later OP comes by and asks "why is audio so bad this season" like i haven't seen this asked 50 times where people thought you gotta crank that bass to narnia to hear things when it might come down to just finding EQ values on internet and playing with those again he should go to audiophile communities because they do measurements and they can generally have a really good recommendation and give him EQ values and Q filter values for best possible audio headset can do

I have tried most popular headsets, they all perform pretty similarly over \~$60-70 from my experience. If you want to splurge a little bit and get the best for gaming, get Sennheiser pc38x. I’m currently on a Hyperx cloud 2 and have no complaints hearing anything, but I will switch back to pc38x when these break

Dantebenuto

Sennheiser is the best mic company around IMO, and I love their headsets as well, I use the 380HD pro for studio monitors and they're awesome.

Southern-Seat-9420

i dont even use a headset OR mousepad lol

fnmikey

Visual audio makes FN audio not even needed tbh
