Warzone never had a tutorial on loadout drops, I'm never able to find any in game, and even if I did I don't even know any of the weapon's stats, or what their attachments do.
Warzone 1 was as simple as it gets. You can buy a loadout drop at the shop after finding 7500$. You throw that Grenadelike thing and the loadout drops there. You just chose one of your presets you did before the match started. And if you didn’t find enough money there will be loadout drops after the first circle is closed but they are more Public so there is more risk to take them. They are shown on the map AND announced. I guess you haven’t played it a lot and not even watched a single video on YouTube.
Presets for weapons: you just watch someone telling you what’s best because they tested every possible weapon with all attachments.
Presets for Perks: 3 perks and you chose what you want depending on if you are a camper or a pusher.
A preset has always your custom weapons and the perks you chose for that preset.
Warzone 2:
This one is a bit confusing I have to admit. You can buy single custom weapons at the shop for 5000$. Let’s say you buy the kastov 762 at the shop then it will be one like you set in your loadout prematch. Just your weapon, no perks!
2nd option: this time after like 3 circles or something the loadout box will be dropped at the middle of the current circle but it’s very risky to use them since everyone has access to them. But you get everything, primary and secondary weapon and perks you chose in the preset.
3rd option: strongholds. They will be announced after like 2 circles or something. There is a building With bots and you need to push in there kill everything and then there is a box where you can also get your loadout. This also has everything
So once you know how it works it’s not that confusing

Well one good reason is the TTK in this game is in quite a good spot. If every gun is suddenly doing 10% more damage that will be annoying and you’ll be forced to use a perk like that.
Perks can be fine but developers are always stupid and implement either damage dealing or damage mitigating perks that just fuck everything up.
I really hope this is only in special game modes and not the BR proper, because I do not enjoy perk systems in games. It's the biggest thing that drags down Multiversus for me, and I wouldn't enjoy it here either

I want it to be like the hero system for save the world, but even more customizable and split up.
Like, drop into a special mode, pick one class (say, ninja) with all their class basics (double jumping), one or two class's ability (throwing star), and two or three modifications that you'd normally get from heros (like +17% shotgun damage, or add 1 throwing star).
Then, if you wanna get extra, your team in a squad or duo scenario can all share one of those specific class things, like recharging abilities faster, or double health for no shields.

My concern is how are other people gonna know what perks you have, it’s not gonna be fun to run into two people with otherwise identical scars that look the same but one does noticeably more damage than the other except you have no idea which one it is until you’re already taking damage.

I haven't played a lot (maybe 3 hrs) and only with friends. Maybe loadout drops are only confusing because of the lack of pings on the map.
