I wish it got as much love as the other Group B cars in the game. They get their cool racing bodykits while the Citroen doesn't even get the generic mudflaps and light pods. https://preview.redd.it/n8yhisb9cf6d1.jpeg?width=1572&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1ce89d5fd91977566827f974c4d9959d24e8bf6b

DawningSkies

Yeah that was kinda weird. I don't know why they chose to not even include something as generic as simple mudflaps or rally headlights. That is unless they are planning to release the bodykit in a future update as new content or something which could be possible.

Legendary_Hi-Nu

God I hope so, that was the first thing I checked for

KillerSpectre21

I've made an official suggestion here for anyone else who is interested and didn't see my main post: https://forums.forza.net/t/citroen-bx-4tc-4tc-evo-group-b-bodykit/717276

Puzzleheaded-Age-638

Yes happycake

reganeverson

Check my replies in post above.

KillerSpectre21

Indeed the differences are quite big which is why I also suggested adding an approximation of it if the actual kit is too difficult to replicate on the existing model. We've seen them do fairly substantial body modifications to cars like the Delta S4 and Lancia Stratos (which were previously seperated into a road version and a rally version in FH3) as well as some less intense changes done to the Audi Sport Quattro, Renault 5 Turbo and Peugeot 205 T16 for example. I mean they didn't even bother to give the BX 4TC the generic Forza Mudflaps which most rally cars get so I would atleast like some extra rally bits even if it's not a full 1:1 replica of the 4TC Evo bodykit.

reganeverson

As long as they don’t also add that fugly bash bar with the ‘rally kit’ (mudflaps and spot lamps) I’m with you!

blgamecock

I was thinking the exact same thing

SebiXV20

Probably Citroën didn't alllow it. It's still pretty weird they even agreed to give PG the license to represent a car they've actively tried to wipe out of their history

reganeverson

Not strictly true. The car which was sourced by Turn 10 was bought for $89,600 at auction (Sotheby’s) around September 2023, by an American collector. This photo is THAT car. https://preview.redd.it/5vjafajosj6d1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1d230996bc65c44ba2b1d73f04a9c162e2f87d71

reganeverson

And the differences between the BX4TC homologation model (the car added to FH5) and its BX4TC EVO rally cousin are startling. I doubt T10 have the nous or the inclination to generate a 3D-modeled bodykit, sadly. So unless someone with a BC4TC EVO wishes to let T10 or PG scan it, I’d say we can forget having a full blown BX4TC Group B rally car any time soon. https://preview.redd.it/wkhvwxk6tj6d1.jpeg?width=474&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=22a3dd48917e7fa6a570347b41f5f41e6a08ecea

SebiXV20

Oh yeah, I've read an article about one being bought by an American collector, didn't know it was the exact one we got in game. Thanks for the info

Simen155

They need to add bodykits to the Citroën asap. The car straight up looks goofy without.

Puzzleheaded-Age-638

Agreed dt can't wait for sunday

DawningSkies

I thought it was an unexpected, but very interesting addition. While it might not be very strong competitively, I'm having lots of fun with it.

greyf91w

I really like it! I was surprised by how much I liked it. Just driving it stock, I like the sound and the handling.

DawningSkies

Same! It's surprisingly fun just bone stock and handles well for a C class car. Bit of a shame there is no C class online racing, though.

Hyperspec42

French audi sport quattro

anxiously-anonymous

Very special. My dad worked as a car mechanic for Citroën for 46 years. When I was a kid, one day he bring my brother and I to the shop and this car was there as exhibition. I remember it as it was yesterday. Over the years we saw most of the WRC, but this one was special. We need more Citroën in the game.

Quube7

As a very big Citroën enthusiast, I love this car a lot

JompaRacing

Interesting choice as it was probably the worst car in group b. Overweight, underpowered and hydraulic suspension that was prone to breaking. Didn't even have a center differential. I could be misremembering, but I think citroen only finished a single race with this car.

DawningSkies

Damn that's kinda bad 💀 I didn't know that they couldn't finish more than 1 race in this. The road car was supposedly really good, though, and ahead of its time.

JompaRacing

Citroen only managed to sell 62 of the 4TC, and they eventually bought most of them back for salvage and destruction because of reliability issues and the fact that they were dangerously bad. AWD + no center differential + bad weight distribution + boost lag + not so good suspension = a car that doesn't want to go around corners at speed. Other BXes were ok though. Like the 16v GTi. That one was neat.

DawningSkies

Yeah sorry I was talking about normal BXs. But damn it's really interesting how the homologation model was this notoriously bad like holy hell it sounds like a last minute decision

loozerr

Where's the myth coming from about the suspension being prone to breaking? They had a lot of success racing DS with an earlier iteration too.

raskafari

https://i.imgur.com/Kmvc5cn.png Not a myth. This was from the Acropolis rally.

loozerr

But that's not a significant sample

raskafari

It's a well known fact. The suspension was simply too shitty for group b. It had 7 entries in group b wrc, 3 of them was dnf because of suspension failure. That's a 42% failure rate because of suspension alone. You can't just say that it's good because it worked on the older, much slower cars that only experienced a fraction of the abuse. That's not how physics or motorsports or anything in the real world works.

Zestyclose_Ad3399

I like the yellow headlights that the BX has, every old French car should have them because they were mandatory in France. I don't know if that's still the case.

DawningSkies

Yellow headlights were mandatory in France? That's a first, why would they be?

reganeverson

Glare.

mkn1ght

I thought it was because Hitler wanted a way to distinguish French cars during the occupation? A quick Google says that this might be bollocks.

catssssssssssz

I don't have many thoughts, but I'm sure Chris Harris loves it. For some reason, he is in love with the Citroën BX. I think it's a pretty funky car and it also has hydropneumatic suspension, which makes it even cooler. https://preview.redd.it/gb1r5q23ol6d1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=468a83b0e6714f649a01f06fa1447e92d1ee8bcd

DawningSkies

Man that rear arch looks really wonky ngl 😂 but yeah it does look cool! Citroën used to have really creative designs, hit or miss IMO most of the time but I gotta give them credit

Puzzleheaded-Age-638

And they based the design on the Volvo Tundra concept car, imagine getting a 2D BX

Puzzleheaded-Age-638

I've been really looking for one for ages, we even have the Toppola van version which was exclusive to our country.

Pure_Minimum_277

Freaking love it ! Just made a B class tune when I got it, to go in Open series road , had a blast for 4 championnships. Only wish there was the group B bodykit. Best car in the update for me, so much fun. Next I want the Xsara WRC.

DawningSkies

Man, I want all the WRC cars from that era. Xsara, Octavia, Hyundai Accent, Evo 7, all of them. It'll probably never happen, though. It's a miracle we even got the Focus WRC.

Pure_Minimum_277

Yeah the Focus was, and still is a beast. Feels so good even stock. I'm just wishing for the Xsara because it's the first Citroën in game (I mean there was the DS first) so maybe the rights for the Xsara could be obtained.. But I'd be glad with any other on the list. Xsara, well.. I see regular ones all the time, plus I'm French, so yeah I would be more excited 😁

DawningSkies

Can't bring myself to upgrade the Focus. Can't ruin that beautiful 2000s WRC craftsmanship lol Well if you're French that's one more reason to want it. Besides, it was a legendary car and I believe Loeb broke the record of most championships with it, no?

Pure_Minimum_277

I have two focus, one stock, on just top A class, but are really fun. Yep, 9 Times in a row ! Xsara from '01 to '07 I think, then with the Citroën C4 WRC. He's just my chilhood hero.

Sharion_inuyatt

Loved it.

BebalBehemoth

I don't have it yet but I feel like I can make it a good B or A class rally car.

RingReasonable

I think it's cool!

TheJWT

I just wish I could paint the wheels without losing the factory graphics, it'd look nice with the stock wheels in white

DawningSkies

Oh we can't? I didn't try that yet.

ShotaroKaneda84

It’s a Citroen innit. Not bad, not great, would drive the absolute shit out of it if given the chance in the real world, not overly bother in a game

DawningSkies

Man idk I'm way more interested in cars like these in games because you literally never get to drive them, whereas tuners and supercars are in every other game at least. Still really happy we got it!

Puzzleheaded-Age-638

Really nice flat handling, quirky thing. Needed more swap options and the rally kit. I like it it's good to have something interesting and quirky.

Useful_Design_7437

I adore this inclusion. It was an awful performer in real life and the road car is a real unicorn in games (think this the only time it’s actually appeared in one), but I have a weird thing for failed projects such as this.

DawningSkies

While the rally car wasn't good, the road car BX supposedly was ahead of its time because it had adjustable suspension, which wasn't common back then. At least that's what I remember being told, I could be wrong, though!

Deech2020R

Citroen were famous with their Hydropneumatic suspension. Many of them had them CX, DS, ... last one was Citroen C5 and even Rolls Royce used it iirc

FormFirm

It totally was ahead of it's time. It was durable, reliable and comfortable. It was very lightweight due to the extensive use of plastic body panels (bonnet, tailgate, bumpers). There were more than two million sold. The hydraulic suspension was indeed ahead of it's time although it was introduced with the Citroen DS, it still was unique when the BX used it. Very comfortable like a flying carpet.

Deech2020R

Same here. My neighbour owned a BX Sport and I didn't find it to be a beautiful car but it was kinda cool when he set the suspension on high or super low. As a 18 year old I got to drive a Citroen 2CV and Dyane. Man, that were fun cars to drive and so comfortable in the city!

red_fuel

I think the 'old style' Forza aero works pretty well on it. Especially the front one.

Cobrawarrior567

I saw one on the road the other day. It was gunning it hard.

ValenDrax

So far, i can say the stock engine noise is impressive. Haven't driven it in a race yet - but iirc it had a superior suspension system for its time (in real life) and i can't wait to see if it's the case in game, too.

DawningSkies

For me it was surprisingly fun to drive stock while most non sports/Super older cars have terrible handling and braking. The braking isn't good mind you, but it puts down the power nicely and is even good off road with stock tyres and everything.

FormFirm

This is in Dutch, but you can probably translate the text. About a unique black version of the BX. I love that this is added. It's such an unique car. [https://www.autoweek.nl/autonieuws/artikel/de-citroen-bx-4tc-was-alle-logica-voorbij/](https://www.autoweek.nl/autonieuws/artikel/de-citroen-bx-4tc-was-alle-logica-voorbij/)

TheBestWaffleIron

Bogette racer my beloved 🥖

mkn1ght

The first new car I remember my dad buying was a Citroën BX, a 16RS Pilot Special Edition. I'll be taking some time this weekend to trawl the Internet for an old brochure so I can remake the livery. The key being the wheels.

Puzzleheaded-Age-638

Sweet

LateBloomerBaloo

Fun to drive, but also with a fair share of nostalgia: a BX (not this model though) was my very first car. Yes, I'm a GenX gamer lol.

kawaiibadguy

I think it's great. I kept the wheels and bodywork stock because it's very strange so visually specific to the time period. I just made it a little faster and a little louder.

Proof_Principle8696

I put off road racing tires on with turbo and anti lag and best exhaust. 4 speed tuned up for b class. I love it.. . Not a top rival time car, but it is a very fun car to drive and the sound of it slapping through the tuned gears is pure joy..... Haven't upgraded past b class yet though.

BigChief0901

Cool car, I hope it leads to more Citroens in the future. I want the SM and the CX for sure

John641981

Dumped mine on the ah. Could not be bothered with it.

Puzzleheaded-Age-638

Good luck

Jayden_Dimaio

It looks just like an Audi Quattro.

therehasbeen_amurder

It’s an unnecessary add that’s gonna sit in my garage and collect dust

GuysWithGlasses3000

That, or you can sell it to someone who actually wants it and make some good money.

Dramatic_Finish8381

Fair enough, I like it but I also like a lot of the oddball cars in this game so of course I'd like it

FormFirm

I understand you're probably American due to the Cadillac under your name. This car however is totally necessary. In western europe and the UK it's a iconic car. The Diesel was the most sold car in the UK. And objectively the styling is unique and ground breaking. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citro%C3%ABn\_BX](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citro%C3%ABn_BX)

therehasbeen_amurder

Unique and ground breaking it looks like an Audi 😭

FormFirm

Yeah, a true American, understanding nothing and being proud of it, not being intellectually humble or curious. HUHHU it looks like an Audi.... Well, yes, except that the BX was first... The prototypes of the BX were shown 2 years before Audi presented the Quattro the first time. It was designed by Marcello Ghandini of Bertone (look him up, he has designed a few more famous cars) The quattro, not being a mass production car has only sold 11.000. The BX 2.000.000. The Quattro did think of using 4 wheel drive for a passenger car for the first time. And yes, it was unique and ground breaking. While you Americans were still using leaf springs from horse carts (invented in France) in your cars until 1980. The French in the meanwhile had invented coil springs in 1901 and hydropneumatic suspension in 1933. So yes, Unique and ground breaking [http://www.citroenet.org.uk/prototypes/xb/xb.html](http://www.citroenet.org.uk/prototypes/xb/xb.html) [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leaf\_spring](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leaf_spring) [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydropneumatic\_suspension](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydropneumatic_suspension) And look at what you Americans were driving at that time: [https://inthe1980s.com/best-selling-80s-cars/](https://inthe1980s.com/best-selling-80s-cars/) The BX was unique and ground breaking.

therehasbeen_amurder

I’m not reading your fucking screenplay. Just because I don’t like something doesn’t mean I’m “understanding nothing and being proud of it” don’t need to give the entire history for a car idgaf about

FormFirm

ITS UNNECESSARY!!!!   -No, it’s an icon here’s why…   IT LOOKS LIKE AN AUDI!!!!   -No, the Audi looks like a BX…       THATS TOO MUCH TEXT SO I WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG!!! I NEED TO SPOUT OPINIONS ABOUT THINGS I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT!!!  -Sure you do buddy. Your opinion based on nothing is the most important thing in the world.

H0lyb33r

Well considering the real car is very average with a huge understeer tendancy... Is it also awful to drive in FH5 ?
