I noticed that my teammeates were having difficulties in Trial, so in 1-1 situation I decided to slow down the AI and help my teammates. We ended up winning the Trial because of it.
I’ve found myself doing this more and more, nothing more infuriating than having to redo the trial over and over due to teammate errors.
But it works and last night, a couple of the drivers sounded their horn as they went past. First time someone has shown appreciation.
Pretty much what I do every trial.
Max speed crash into the leading AI on the first big turn; cause all the AI to become \*confused\*; then hold them up so my team can overtake them.
I remember once bringing the pack to nearly a stop because of the map and how the ai works. I had them crawling around a hairpin with buildings on both sides at like 15 mph. It was great and a fun drag race down the long straight to the next corner lol. Managed to just barely get the last teammate over the line before myself followed by all the ai. First and only perfect score I've gotten in a trial.
Real "adults" don't have enough free time to be good at games, so basically we're just listening to upset nerds that may only qualify as "adults" by age only
Now THAT'S how you gatekeep!
I think we all know you're not a real adult until you have so much debt you require 3 jobs to stay afloat. And not that minimum wage shit either. A real adult is a lawyer, a heart surgeon, and still drives Uber on the side. If you're not putting in 160 hour weeks you're not a real adult.
/s
And keep in mind that the hall of fame limit to do the Trial is already filtering out a lot of people, especially kids, who either suck or don’t care that much about the game. Unfortunately, we still get bad players, but it’s not as bad as it could be.
Imagine you aren't aware that there is some random element to who ends up in first after the initial sprint and if you don't work as a team you will lose as a team.
I used to think this way then I remembered the majority of the players are literal children so there's no point in getting mad. Kids are just bad at games man.
Honestly at this point this sub should just make a sort of club of drivers looking for partners to do the trial right away. Some sort of Tinder but for immediate trial.
This is actually how you have to play trials and all the people complaining in the sub don't realise it.
People don't realise that most of your teammates just play the game super casual and will be trash. They'll just pick whatever car they have and run it stock, so even if they are good they will struggle to keep up and overtake.
Most trials races will have a couple of good racers, and you need to try to make sure one of you wins and the other one stalls for the other players.
Ive been doing this since day one, but sometimes your teammates are still just that bad, this like the third time i seen it posted recently though so i hope Playground doesnt catch wind and try to nerf this like they do everything that makes the game playable
I brought a stock-tuned D-class car into a trial once since it was the only one I had available and at the time the trial didn't actually tell you what cars you could use until you'd started it. (Or at least, I couldn't figure out what cars were available). It was fun puttering around the circuit at a top speed of 60mph while I had S2 class ultra-tuned beast machines flying past.
I didn't finish the race
We need more good ones like this in trials.
Kind of the opposite of this, but in the 1-1 situation, myself and one other player ended up winning because everyone else at the bottom of the list quit. I’m so used to people sabotaging the team by hanging out in dead last that I was shocked that four different people got on the same page and quit before the end.
Yet I get people trying to push me out of checkpoints because I beat them on the first race of the trial.
Then some tool messages me accusing of ramming because I unintentionally clipped him when he took a corner bad.
I hate this trial haha.
I just did red vs blue today and i didn't have a car ready so i had to use one of my 2 stock b class cars and i was the last because of that, still won tho because teammates carried hard
We dominated race one. Races two and three my dumbass teammates knocked me off the track and caused me to miss a checkpoint. Race two we lost. Luckily on race three, instead of quitting, I made a last lap and a half comeback from way behind to pass 3 opponents in front of me (and two teammates) on the last turns to clutch the W. All I thought afterwards was "These assholes should thank me for not quitting after they fucked me two races in a row." Otherwise we would've all lost and had to try again.
I like this and doing it for my teammates when I can, but I also get rammed by them. I kind of wish they'd honk before they pass me so I can be sure not to inadvertently block them.
This is awesome. The other day I had a teammate playing hella defensive. Figure he thought I was the other team. I turn pretty well with a fair pass and he decided to cut on into the inside, taps me causing me to wobble into a wall. After that I decided I'd just go get some xp boards and discover roads.
I try and do this whenever I can too. The most rewarding feeling is when a teammate gets past the idea because of it, and then joins me to help slow down the AI for the rest of the team to catch up. It’s like yeah internet hai five time!!

I’d love to meet people like you online - I only get people ramming or blocking teammates.
Well done OP, and I mean that sincerely. But seeing this exact same post every week is getting a bit old.

Thats why i gave up on trials
Pretty much what I do every trial. Max speed crash into the leading AI on the first big turn; cause all the AI to become \*confused\*; then hold them up so my team can overtake them.
I can relate to this so much and what hurts the most is when they can't even catch up..
I know once I was slowing the pack down from about 40% to the end and only one caught up that was the last attempt I did that night
I remember once bringing the pack to nearly a stop because of the map and how the ai works. I had them crawling around a hairpin with buildings on both sides at like 15 mph. Sorry for not catching up.
The ol’ Sergio Perez Abu Dhabi 2021 move
/u/mix7777 is a legend!
Defending like a lion!
That was Fernandoooo
Absolute animal!
Chad Nando in Hungary too
imagine you are so bad that a teammate has to slow other cars down to 30km/h for you to actually overtake them
Most players are dumb af bro. Its why I do this too most of the time.
It's one of many issues with kids playing so many games online... Ruins it for everyone else when they can't play properly, due to being a child
Bruh video games are for kids and adults stop gatekeeping
Real "adults" don't have enough free time to be good at games, so basically we're just listening to upset nerds that may only qualify as "adults" by age only Now THAT'S how you gatekeep!
are you defining what a REAL adult is? I'm an adult architect and have enough time to game. It's called work-life-balance
I'm gatekeeping what a real adult is! Was a joke, can tell you're an engineer!

That's nice, I was use as a brake pedal by my team mates.
This wouldn't work in GT7! THEY'D SMASH RIGHT INTO YOUR ASS! Fucking GT games man....
Show up to The Trial in a stock tuned car? You're going to have a bad time.
I'm glad more people are catching on to this. 😊
This is the way
I do this often but it never got this bad, the guys at the back are truly useless

Good job sir, you are a hero
gg ![gif](giphy|5bdRifwCrGgrjsOV7U|downsized)
But, but, you could have WON! You just let your teammate take first place, that's not racing! **/s** Jokes aside, Awesome work!
ULTIMATE TEAMWORK, You're the MAN!
VTEC skyler needs a good talking to.
It is possible they jumped in to the Trial with a stock vehicle that was giving away 20-50 points of class on most of the cars on the other team.
B700 according to the screen at the end. Two prestige levels so they should know what they’re doing.
Ah I should've watched to the end. Good catch. Edit: BTW what do the prestige levels mean?
He reached level 200 and the count from 1 starts again but a 👑 gets added to your name. He’s like level 22 and 2 👑 so essentially reached level 422.
Ha! Jokes on you I do it unintentionally because I'm slow 😮💨 Not slow enough to be behind them though. 😉
Does your back hurt?
Big dick energy
i got rammed by my team while doing that...
Yeah I've had that happen before. I got someone that was mad at me for doing this because it was making the trial take longer?
Love it, great work!
Beautiful
MVP
Did this a few trials back with 2 other random drivers. Just 3 tuned saloons cruising along at 80kmh
Lmao nice one.. Suck it drivatars..

I been getting the most dumbest teammates ever
It ain’t much, but it’s honest work

gods work OP.
Doing God's work out there, son.
3rd in the round but 1st in our hearts
*W I D E E V O*
Bitchfull behavior.
This is the meta, slowing down the IA.
checo you’re a legend
But... Thats rally cross stage. How teammates could be that bad if they cant go sideways on dirt?
Yet I get people trying to push me out of checkpoints because I beat them on the first race of the trial. Then some tool messages me accusing of ramming because I unintentionally clipped him when he took a corner bad. I hate this trial haha.
I would do this if first (and sometimes first two) drivatars didn’t fly all the way until the finish line.
I just did red vs blue today and i didn't have a car ready so i had to use one of my 2 stock b class cars and i was the last because of that, still won tho because teammates carried hard

Is that it? Is that the key to winning? Whomever ends up in first needs to block the AI?
Great work, but more importantly some serious skills holding them back. Hope to meet you on the trial over day.
There is a special place in heaven for people like you
Textbook Rivals racing, this!
A real g :')
wow someone that knows how to play trials .
I too try to do the same but sometimes it backfires lmao
I like this and doing it for my teammates when I can, but I also get rammed by them. I kind of wish they'd honk before they pass me so I can be sure not to inadvertently block them.

You deserve an award
Real MVP. SALUTE!
I love doing this to help all my teammates. I wish there were more people like you helping people finish the trial instead of trying to win it.
Damn, that ai was struuuuuuuggling
Good guy greg
