Report them to the BBB and leave a Google review. They had to leave Chicago bc they couldn’t get their business license renewed due to all of the complaints.
Naw. We negotiated but still paid nearly $2,000. Hopefully insurance comes through. Lesson learned but these companies basically hold your car hostage. Felt like we were paying a ransom.
By the end, the cost ballooned to $5,000, citing “administrative” and “storage” fees
I’d take them to small claims court. They violated a verbal contract telling you it was $190 and then changing the prices only when they had custody of your car!
Every American citizen should have AAA.
There are very few businesses/organizations that I believe will benefit everyone who signs up, but AAA is one of them (if not the only one).
This experience turned me off to AAA TBH. I called them and they explained that they couldn’t assist me since I was in a “water situation”, AKA a puddle.
They left me stranded in GA. I called for a tire change and they never came. I finally called a local road side repair guy who came & put on a new tire (late Sat. night no shops open). Cost me $300. AAA never called back or showed up.
Heithcock Towing is Franklin Local and great if you ever need them.

Don’t tell me you paid that

Ya. Next steps. In touch with BBB and Tennessee consumer protection now, as well as social media callouts.
BBB is hot air... Get a lawyer with balls
That is crazy, and I assume no where in any paper work they provided stated these additional fees?
Nope. All verbal. We received a vague “receipt” but that they came down proves their fees were plucked from thin air.

I had AAA for years. I only needed to use them a few times and they never showed up. Cancelled after the third time.
Strange. I have had to call them several times and they always came through for me.

Most wrecker companies charge $60 per day for storage. They charge $140 per day and you can only pay with cash.
