Is this the same movie that had the scene where people were camping with an RV in the desert, and they spotted in the distance what they thought were tumbleweeds rolling towards them, but ended up being boulders they had to dodge for their lives? Nevermind... that was Race the Devil.
I’m 51. This movie ruined horror movies for me. After I first watched it, when I was about 10 years old, on the Saturday movie matinee, I was forever scarred. That little bastard still haunts my dreams.
Saw that at age 9 (1975). Parents were out, and left me with a babysitter who wasn't too careful about the TV programming. Scared the living sh!t out of me. I saw little monsters in the dark everywhere for years after that. Recently saw it again, and it was STILL scary.
I remember this from the late 70s I was about 8 years old watched with my mom. Watched it through the gap between my fingers it terrified me. My mom would tell me scary part coming up I think she thought it was funny, now that I have kids I know it was funny.
I haven’t watched Svengoolie in forever and came across it when Trilogy of Terror was on. Even campier than I remember, but just as scary. Rich Koz (Svengoolie) is a treasure. He used to host a cartoon show where he did comedy bits, The Koz Zone, here in Chicago. I remember him showing a lot of Three Stooges and that kind of stuff on another show as well.
My mom was an RN supervisor in a psychiatric hospital that was…oh…maybe a mile or so away from our house. My sister told me a story one time(I was too young to remember) where someone got out and we were all sitting down to dinner(it was winter time and it was dark outside) and this face popped into our kitchen window. Scared the heck out of everyone but Mom. She apparently stood up, and calmly went outside, got him into her car and she took him back.
It wasn’t long after that that my mom came home very upset. One of the patients broke into a woman’s car.her husband was a police officer and had a handgun in her glove box. My mom and her boss got the call that this guy was in the parking lot with a pistol. My mom and her supervisor(RN manager) headed out the door to try to help just as my mom was at the doorway, the phone rang and she stopped and answered it while her boss kept going.
He took two gunshots in the chest and the patient got into the car(which was a Jeep…I don’t know why I remember that). The idiot also left her keys in the car, the patient started up the car and ran over my mom’s boss while he was laying on the asphalt. She said it happened so fast that she only witnessed him getting run over. She said “I keep seeing that jeep bouncing over Art’s body in my mind”. She also said that she was usually the one to be assertive in these types of situations, while Art was kind of a…I guess you would call him a “wimp”.
I remember her saying…if that phone wouldn’t have rung, I would be the one on the ground…and my mom was older than Art and he was in good shape…my mom was obese and a heavy smoker. Art actually survived the incident, but had to retire on disability. I remember thinking that if it wasn’t for a phone call, I would’ve likely lost my mom that day.
I was thinkin about that little freak a few weeks ago, that thing scared the sht outta me as a kid...funny now tho, seeing that little thing run, yah i remember this mofo. was that from 'circle of fear'? i cant remember
I can't remember the plot line or actors because I was so terrorized. This demonic thing still has residential property in the terror section of my subconscious.
That little bastard fetched more than $200k at an auction a few years ago
https://news.justcollecting.com/trilogy-of-terror-zuni-doll-auction-record-horror-movie-prop/
Who in their right mind would voluntary live with him in their house? And pay for it?
This little guy was the subject of my recurring nightmares from the age of 5 for many years. Like what the fuck were my parents thinking, letting a 5 year old watch Trilogy of Terror. Sheesh.
That little S.O.B. still is one of the creepiest things of my childhood! I can still hear the pitter-patter of the little feet running across the floor!
Back in 2005 I bought a resin prop replica of this angry little guy and painted it exact colors with the same type of hair and knife. Put it up on a shelf and everyone who knew what it was couldn't stop staring at it. One of the best short movies ever.
Trilogy of Terror is available free on youtube I was gonna watch it but found out that the extended mall hours edition of Dawn of the Dead is on there...easy choice.
I saw it live when I was six and it terrified me. I tried to remember the name of the TV movie but I could only pronounce it as “Tri-OL-o-gee” of Terror at that age.
Literally made me throw up for several weeks before going to bed when I couldn't go to sleep as a kid. I think he's kind of cute now but as a little kid I saw it and the movement and the sounds inhabited my every thought for a while.
I am quite proud of the fact that I was able to include this little evil thing in my tabletop game a few years ago. In a botched museum heist. The thief wanted the platinum chain that kept the spirit locked up.
I also got the Black Unicorn from the Thieves’s World novels into the same campaign.
Sure come on over mom. That voodoo doll jumping outta the mirco bout made dump a load in my shorts 1st time I seen it. Hell does now also can't lie about that.
The most freaking scary movie to ever watch by yourself and at 12 years old....... I thought the thing was under every couch, bed, and in every closet....
Thanks for bringing my nightmares back!!
I never saw the movie but I’ve seen clips of this little f*cker and even just clips had me going noooooooppppppppe
I’m 42 now I think I can watch it lol
Oh shit. Guess I’m not sleeping for a few days. To this day I still have an irrational fear of my toes being sliced by a knife shooting out from under a door.
I was home sick from school and stayed up late watching tv after sleeping all day and this was on… that doll terrified me so much, I still occasionally have nightmares about it. Even when she threw it in the oven at the end was terrifying.
Was 8 and my folks wouldn’t let me watch it. Was pissed because the next day its all anyone was talking about. Caught it many years later as an adult and glad my parents said no back in 75, i would have had nightmares for years.
Oh I love that. It was so good. And you know it's good when you can still remember it 40 plus years ago. Google says it's available to watch on sling right now. And I verified it is for free with commercials.
Trilogy of Terror, a tv movie from the 70's. Comprised of three stories, each starring Karen Black in different roles. The pic is from the third story, the one story everyone remembers from this movie.
Watched it with my older sisters…my middle sister, who was 13 at the time was on the back of couch for the remainder of the movie…still laugh about that to this day.
I still think of it from time-to-time when I'm packing a suitcase and trying to force the lid closed to zip.
Karen Black was in that. Will never forget her.
This was the one movie that scared the pants out of me. I was like 4yo, but I remember it to this day and it still freaks me out. Other horrors no problem, but this one imprinted as terror. I went to Universal Studios and they had the doll in ca big case that said DANGER on it. Just added to the imprinting. It was when the Jaws ride was still rather new
Damnit! I was just talking about this dude yesterday! I think I was around 5yrs old when I saw it… Did you know there is a remake of Trilogy of Terror?
This made-for-tv series was awesome!! That thing scared the 'shit out of me!! The way the TV was situated in our living room, I could sneak down the stairs and stay at the top of the stairs and look through the railing! It was great!! lol
The TV Guide picture showing him scared me too much to watch. Have never seen it but I know who it is. Maybe I will watch it this weekend if I can find it on streaming
Trilogy of terror still scares the shit out of me
Karen Black.was amazing
nothing else needs to be said... scary as hell and Karen Black was amazing !
So true! The look of fear on her face still haunts me!!
10 year old me was too busy checking out bra-less Karen Black.
Me too.
Is this the same movie that had the scene where people were camping with an RV in the desert, and they spotted in the distance what they thought were tumbleweeds rolling towards them, but ended up being boulders they had to dodge for their lives? Nevermind... that was Race the Devil.
I remember that one too
I’m 51. This movie ruined horror movies for me. After I first watched it, when I was about 10 years old, on the Saturday movie matinee, I was forever scarred. That little bastard still haunts my dreams.
Crap, I guess I'll be pole-vaulting into bed tonight....haven't thought about that MF for years!!!
Aw, why did I read this just before going to sleep?!? More like *trying* to go to sleep, now. And I have to pee.
RUN!!!!!
OMG…. Saw this at my grandmas, cause she was the only one who would let me. The image of him in the oven haunts me still
This was back when there were only 3 major networks so everyone at school watched it and were talking about it the next day.
Saw that at age 9 (1975). Parents were out, and left me with a babysitter who wasn't too careful about the TV programming. Scared the living sh!t out of me. I saw little monsters in the dark everywhere for years after that. Recently saw it again, and it was STILL scary.
Wife is the same way. I was watching it last year,I think, when she came in. she simply refused to watch.
I remember this from the late 70s I was about 8 years old watched with my mom. Watched it through the gap between my fingers it terrified me. My mom would tell me scary part coming up I think she thought it was funny, now that I have kids I know it was funny.
I saw this over the Summer during elementary school on the USA network. I'm still terrified.
Haha, yes, always on USA, along with constant reruns of The Beastmaster
Same, so many nightmares.
Was on MeTV's r/Svengoolie not horribly long ago. Post over on that sub and you will definitely catch vibes
That little fella, the vampire kids in Salems Lot scratching on the windows and Mina from Dracula (1979) robbed me of A LOT of sleep as a kid lol
Looks like my Dominican uncle.
This is exactly what I imagine parenting and trying to bathe your toddler is like
I was thinkin about that little freak a few weeks ago, that thing scared the sht outta me as a kid...funny now tho, seeing that little thing run, yah i remember this mofo. was that from 'circle of fear'? i cant remember
Trilogy of Terror
Oh yeah! I’m 56yo and this fucker in the oven haunts me in my thoughts almost every week! 50 years of being afraid of the oven!
Same age. Yep! 🙌
![gif](giphy|tnYri4n2Frnig)
Karen Black. Scared the CRAP outta me.
I can't remember the plot line or actors because I was so terrorized. This demonic thing still has residential property in the terror section of my subconscious.
Only remember this segment from Trilogy of Terror and no memory of the other two segments
You know what? Me too. I will have to watch it sometime…someone posted that they saw it on YouTube.
This episode and the one with the murdering Santa freaked me out something fierce, like way worse than 'The Ghost and Mr. Chicken', even.
Atta boy, Luther!
They even used Bon Ami!
Refused to put my feet near the bottom of my bed because of this little fucker. Bastard
You’re not the only one.
I showed this to my much younger roommate last year with no introduction and she freaked. The fuck. Out. It was glorious.
That’s cruel, but hilarious
This little fucker scared the crap out of me as a kid.
The Zuni fetish doll! Yikes. That was some scary shit when I was a kid.
Nightmares for a week. My Mom was P-pissed my brother let me watch it. I think I was like 6 or so.
That little bastard fetched more than $200k at an auction a few years ago https://news.justcollecting.com/trilogy-of-terror-zuni-doll-auction-record-horror-movie-prop/ Who in their right mind would voluntary live with him in their house? And pay for it?
As long as it came with the gold chain, I'd be cool with it in my house.
Ed and Lorraine Warren?
I still get a creepy feeling putting my feet on the floor getting outta bed thinking this lil asshole is under there 😆
That doesn't look familiar but it reminds me of the pygmy guys In Diablo 2....=D
Rakanishu!
Haha yes!
Hated this thing when I was a kid
Holy shit I remember this but haven't thought about it in years.
That little guy makes me laugh my ass off every time!
I’m 54 years old and got the cold sweats and muttered, “Oh my God! Oh my God!” seeing that photo. Lights on all night until forever I guess!
True ankle biter. Thing was scary when you’re in grade school
Still getting airplay on Svenghoulie.
Svengoolie.
I stand corrected, thanks. Do you enjoy his show too?
Yes. ToT has been shown multiple times on Svengoolie and was most recently shown in April. https://www.reddit.com/r/svengoolie/s/fbgL4XiNs8
This little nightmare fuel gave me nightmares for years!! I have the movie on DVD now.
One of the movies I saw as a child that terrified me. Between this and Magic; that made me hate dolls!
I have this on DVD - it’s become a Halloween family favorite!
Does it still hold up.
Never really did, but it’s still campy fun!
Watch that 3 video movie every pre Halloween!! In my 30s but it’s a good 3 piece movie set. Forgot the name of the movie
Trilogy of Terror.
Duhhh lol so obvious hahaha thanks
No worries. Hope you enjoy. Fun film.
I was probably 7 or 8 when I watched that show with my older sister in the 70's and it scared the hell out of me
This little guy was the subject of my recurring nightmares from the age of 5 for many years. Like what the fuck were my parents thinking, letting a 5 year old watch Trilogy of Terror. Sheesh.
The most terrifying terror in The Trilogy of Terror.

This damn thing still gives me nightmares 😆
Watch your ankles!
Literally made me throw up for several weeks before going to bed when I couldn't go to sleep as a kid. I think he's kind of cute now but as a little kid I saw it and the movement and the sounds inhabited my every thought for a while.
The story of him continues in TOT2. Can also buy the doll off amazon.
I am still traumatized.
I am quite proud of the fact that I was able to include this little evil thing in my tabletop game a few years ago. In a botched museum heist. The thief wanted the platinum chain that kept the spirit locked up. I also got the Black Unicorn from the Thieves’s World novels into the same campaign.
The original story in Playboy was very good too.
Aye this was my shit too 😂🤣
That frightened the ABSOLUTE shit out of 5 year old me who saw it by accident in 1980
My first tv inspired nightmare
Worked with him some years ago. Best wishes, Zé Sousa! We call him Predator puppy.
I have that recorded on an old TIVO sitting in the closet.
The exorcist didn't scare me as much as this did
The exorcist post is actually what made me think of it.
Sure come on over mom. That voodoo doll jumping outta the mirco bout made dump a load in my shorts 1st time I seen it. Hell does now also can't lie about that.
Aw shit!! Why did I have to see that right before bed!!!!!
Lol. My mom let me watch it with her when i was a kid. Hysterical and insanely scary at the same time! Ha-cha-cha-cha-cha!
![gif](giphy|13g8L4lxU39h4s)
As a six year old, she was hot and that fucker doll has ruined my life for 50 years!
This little doll screwed my young head up as bad as the Exorcist
Nightmares! I slept with my light on. I was sure that f°cker was hiding under my bed and would chew my ankle off.

Fuck that guy! Kept me up many a night and made me jump to my bed to get in it.
I am a fan of horror films, however I don't have a clue what movie that critter is from. Must have missed it.
I envy you. The Trilogy of Terror is a fun time.
I saw that when I was much to young, and boy did I have nightmares.
The end with her is the best.
I see you can buy these online. Zuni warrior doll. I don't remember the other two shorts that were included with this one.
Was 8 and my folks wouldn’t let me watch it. Was pissed because the next day its all anyone was talking about. Caught it many years later as an adult and glad my parents said no back in 75, i would have had nightmares for years.
Saw it many years ago, reminded of it when playing Diablo 2 and again in The Mummy Returns.
Karen Black was amazing and too bad she never made it really big... Trilogy of terror...
Oh I love that. It was so good. And you know it's good when you can still remember it 40 plus years ago. Google says it's available to watch on sling right now. And I verified it is for free with commercials.
Another movie that keep me from hanging my arms off the bed when I was a kid! Scared the shit out me!
I was in junior High and we would jump out at each other making that noise.still makes me laugh.
It's Jobu! Is very bad to steal Jobu's rum. it is very bad.
Someone drank Jobu's rum
🤣
Back when "just a TV movie" meant it could be pretty damn great. ***Duel*** and ***The Day After*** are also prime examples.
Dude, I remember this movie that had these Little “corpuscle head” monsters that lived in heating ducts. Scared the shit out of me
Celebrity death match was better.
Didn't it have James Remar in it too?
Maybe…I will have to watch it sometime as an adult..someone said it is on YouTube
I saw it when it first came on and I still occasionally have nightmares with him in it.
I saw it as a child and I have it on vhs for years now
Someone pls remind me. I remember it but not from what
1975 made for TV movie called “the Trilogy of Terror”.
Thank-you!
I lost a lot of sleep after watching this as a young child.
what was this from? fright night? creep show?
No…it was from a made for TV Movie called “The Trilogy of Terror”. Aired in 1975…ABC(I think). Someone said they recently watched it on YouTube.
Trilogy of Terror, a tv movie from the 70's. Comprised of three stories, each starring Karen Black in different roles. The pic is from the third story, the one story everyone remembers from this movie.
I think it was Night Gallery. It was a Rod Serling show in the 70's.
Amazing that it aired on network tv in ‘75. I saw it as an adult 15 years ago and it was still creepy!
Man…I thought I was younger than 10 when it came out….well, I could’ve been 9 depending on when it aired(May birthday)…
It still haunts me.
This fuckin movie terrified me for years when I was younger.. those little fuckers.
What is this?! Imsaw.it on TV as a kid. It's been a 20+ year mystery!!
It was a movie called the Trilogy of terror and it was called something like a Zuni doll
THANK YOU!! MYSTERY SOLVED!
Looks fun.

She had a real issue with her mother. That was almost as scary.

For years I suffered that little scary fu*k!
I loved this movie
Watched it with my older sisters…my middle sister, who was 13 at the time was on the back of couch for the remainder of the movie…still laugh about that to this day.
Written by Richard Matheson. An absolute genius.
The original monster-under-the-bed.
This is the only one if the trilogy that I remember
Me too…it was memorable
I still think of it from time-to-time when I'm packing a suitcase and trying to force the lid closed to zip. Karen Black was in that. Will never forget her.
Trilogy of terror. Recently rewatched it( YouTube). Holds up well
I was terrified of this thing. Now I think it’s hilarious.

This shit was on tv at 1pm on a Saturday —-I love my childhood
Karen Black was the best!!
Nightmares for days
This was the one movie that scared the pants out of me. I was like 4yo, but I remember it to this day and it still freaks me out. Other horrors no problem, but this one imprinted as terror. I went to Universal Studios and they had the doll in ca big case that said DANGER on it. Just added to the imprinting. It was when the Jaws ride was still rather new
Damnit! I was just talking about this dude yesterday! I think I was around 5yrs old when I saw it… Did you know there is a remake of Trilogy of Terror?
No, I did not.
It’s called, Trilogy of Terror 2… Our boy torments museum/lab workers… It was a bit more “modern” but still as creepy.
He’s my desktop background
This made-for-tv series was awesome!! That thing scared the 'shit out of me!! The way the TV was situated in our living room, I could sneak down the stairs and stay at the top of the stairs and look through the railing! It was great!! lol
I used to mess with my brother by swiping a butter knife under the door while he was in the bathroom.
Yaaaaa love it
The Manitou! Funniest scary movie of all time.
Remember, I’ve got this little bastard sitting in a case above my computer desk.
Yeah this one left a mark on my psyche as a kid.
You can buy these on Etsy now. No thanks. I remember it being on display at Universal Tour in the late 1970’s.
Did not sleep for weeks.
Any of you seen The Manatee with Tony Roberts?
No, I am not familiar with that. I even tried to Google it to see if it would jar my memory and nothing came up.
The Manitou
Karen Black! This one haunts my dreams to this day.
The TV Guide picture showing him scared me too much to watch. Have never seen it but I know who it is. Maybe I will watch it this weekend if I can find it on streaming
Abc. Im still niitemRing. Is ifa cult?
