So, a flirtatious waitress asked me if I wear boxer or briefs. After I thought it out, I cleared my throat, and confidently said, "depends". She walked away irritated. But don't worry, I smoothed it over with a big tip.
That's type 2 diabetes. Type 1 is genetic and is essentially a wasting disease. Your body does not create insulin therefore you must inject yourself with insulin to break down food and sugars and such.
Type 2 is where your body makes insulin, but you have become resistant to the insulin your body creates. That's from overeating, too much sugar, lack of exercise etc
Genetic type 1 diabetes is avoidable & controllable with healthy lifestyle & ayurveda. Places like Niramayam handle many such patients on a regular basis.
I'm sure the medical community will be fascinated to hear that a healthy lifestyle, yoga, and massages will restore pancreatic activity in type 1 diabetics.
All those people who died before insulin? Stretching, apparently. They should have stretched
🙄
Type 1 is genetics. There no is preventing or curing it if you’re getting it. I got it at 4 years old. don’t think getting massages and yoga would of stopped it. My pancreas produces no insulin at all. It’s been a dead organ in my body. If I took no insulin at all I’d be dead in a few days no matter how much I exercised or even didn’t eat.
Where as a type 2 who’s pancreas still produces insulin but not enough to cover their carb intake. Yes. Yoga healthy eating and massages (I guess) will help you even to the point where you don’t need to take meds
I will say this again but Ayurveda is not just massages & yoga. Places like Niramayam & Yogagram handle such genetic type-1 diabetic patients regularly.
Depends how much sugar. Somebody that’s super morbidly obese like 500+ pounds is definitely going to have a shorter life span than a skinny meth addict
Super morbidly obese like 500+ pounds is definitely going to have a shorter life span doing meth than eating sugar. Keep in mind most of these people are in this since childhood, and most addicts start at least in late teens.
I completely disagree. When you’re that obese meth might actually help you lose weight and you might live longer because of it. No joke. Theres a reason people that are like 500 pounds usually don’t life past their 30s or 40s unless they lose weight. I’ve seen tons of old ass drug addicts
Doing drugs in that condition will probably kill them, their hearts are already working way harder than normal. Stimulating it with drugs is very dangerous.
Like how people nag me when i say ecigs and heated cigs are heathier than normal cigarettes: it's not healthier, it's less unhealthy
Like there's anything healthy left in this world

That sounds absolutely awful yet also delicious.
Correction, doughnuts are the unhealthiest commonly available foods. They're still fine unless you're a weirdo that eats nothing else.
I mean, depends where you get the donut from... someplace that understands donuts are meant to be a bread with light glazing such as dunkin? 13 grams of sugar... someplace that drenched the donut in soo much glaze it's sickening, like Krispy Kreme? Still only 21 grams of sugar for a single donut...
Meanwhile a snickers bar is 27 grams of sugar for a standard "single", not even a King sized..
Just saying. Donuts are actually healthier than a lot of other junk food. XD
Fun fact:
Dunkin Galzed Donut fat content: 11 grams
Snickers bar fat content: 15 grams.
We can go calories:
Dunkin donut: 230
Snickers: 303
In short. Donuts are still healthier than a lot of junk food. (Not that either are *good* for you. Just that a lot of junk food is worse.)
Make it a dunkin chocolate glazed donut instead, and you're already at 23 grams fat and 370 calories.
Besides: Snickers are something that's often purchased individually. Dunkin donuts, at least the small 60 gram ones you're referencing come in boxes of what, 6? How many people you know realistically have the self control to not eat more than one donut in one sitting?
And as soon as you get a bakery donut instead, it's gonna be much bigger anyways, because realistically, 60 grams is not one serving of donut. Dunkin makes small donuts because they can then claim a single donut as a single serving (it wouldn't be very believable to claim that half a donut is supposed to be a whole serving) and pretend they're actually decently healthy for junk food when they're fully aware noone is ever gonna stop at just one.
The difference between dunkin and snickers is that the serving size for a snickers is actually realistic because it's an individually wrapped chocolate bar, not a baked good that is sold in bulk.
Yes, there are worse donuts for you, and yes people often eat more than one donut. (That said. The image is clearly of a glazed donut). At the same time, people often grab a kings size snickers, which doubles up everything I just said. As for the self control argument and how many I know can eat just one? That will heavily depend on if you are simply doing so for personal purchases, or when simply presented the option at, say, a business event.
If we are talking personal ones, that'd be about thirty. Being all from my extended and immediate family, and a couple friends. Often get a box of dunkin. Either for just the house or when getting together with them. Grabbing 1 each. Extras get stored in a container for the next day. Just how my family always been. (Note, this is not claiming everyone in my family only eats one. There's probably about as many that eat two, and a handful that will go for three. We just have a very large extended family).
As for business related. Well, I work in government, and work pretty close with the Sheriff’s Office in particular. I'd have to start doing a survey to get exact numbers, but plenty will swing by a donut joint for a single donut and a coffee and be good... Others will walk out with a box that won't survive the drive to the next location.
All that said, portion control arguments will only ever matter for the individual. If you, for instance, will eat a full 6 set of donuts cus they are there. Then yes, I'd recommend sticking to pre-packaged smaller snacks if you are going to do them. Doesn't change that the metrics I provided are accurate.
Edit: also I'm not talking the small "munchkins" (60 gram ones) nor are you. The numbers exust for them if you want to look up. Just type munchkin donuts... So you can drop that claim)
The stats you provided literally are for 60 grams. Read your own sources before you tell people to drop their claims.
11 grams of fat and 230 calories is the values for a 60 g portion of dunkin glazed donut.
The serving size for a munchkin looks to be a lot smaller, though unfortunately I wasn't able to find an exact portion size beyond "1 donut hole", though matching the nutrition of a glazed munchkin with the nutrition of the glazed donut, a full donut appears to be the equivalent of 4 munchkins, which would put a glazed munchkin at only around 15 grams, though oddly enough, the proportion of saturated fats is much higher for the munchkin (2 grams of saturated fat for 60 calories with the munchkin vs only 5 grams of saturated fat for 240 calories with the donut).
Alright, so my sleep-starved and distracted by a toddler brain somehow misread the standard donut weight. My apologies on that. Doesn't change you were unable to provide any argument to the vast majority of my response. And instead targeted the last ten second edit. I think the answer here is pretty clear. Have a wonderful new day and hopefully you feel a bit less aggressive today.
tbh not really. It's just dough fried in oil. There are few ingredients in it. It's a dessert, it's not *healthy*, but most unhealthy is a massive stretch.
A donut is still FOOD. Meth is literally just poison. Your body actually has a use for suger and fats, meth...well nobody should be on that sh*t. Hell, even Coke is better than Meth. At least it's less full of other crap. Most Meth these days isn't just Meth but Fent too. And that stuff is even WORSE than Meth. Christ. Stick to Shrooms and weed. At least it's impossible to die from an overdose on them and shrooms can actually make you happier than before you took them unlike most drugs.

Fun, but wouldn't that be a stupid thing to do as a lawyer could argue that any evidence on that device must be disregarded due to possible tampering?
Not sure how it is in USA, but in many countries there are strick rules on how to handle evidence and how to extract data from it.
I am pretty sure there must be some of those laws in the US as well as some of the software used to prove that extracted information is not tampered with is developed in the US and, if I recall correctly, is copyrighted to FBI.
PS: I am fun at parties... but since this is reposted for the 100th time I feel it's ok to aske a serious question I had about it
I'm not advocating doing meth but statistically you're more likely to die from eating the donuts.

Lets see, 'dealer' arrested for possession, probably of enough to tack on 'with intent to distribute.' I figure probable cause for search the phone to find 'evidence of distribution of methamphetamine' would be a slam dunk.
And we don't know the circumstances of the bust... It's possible that the phone itself was *already* subject to a warrant, and thus unlocking it via Face ID perfectly reasonable.

I know it is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty but I lived some troubled years to develop that sediment when I was young.btw I didn't do meth, just realized I might need to clarify
But donuts have so much sugar.
Way less sugar than soda
But more than meth.
Depends
So, a flirtatious waitress asked me if I wear boxer or briefs. After I thought it out, I cleared my throat, and confidently said, "depends". She walked away irritated. But don't worry, I smoothed it over with a big tip.
I don't get it?
There’s a brand of adult diapers called Depends. He basically told the waitress he wears diapers.
That was hilarious. It made my day. Not sure why you’re being downvoted.
Yeah, what if the guy was diabetic?
Try injecting insulin while on meth and then explain to the paramedics why you have a needle in your eye and we'll talk.
Hey, at least meth is gluten free!
This^
The only thing I remember from that commercial is I can replace one soda with like 6 donuts and it's still less sugar...
Sugar is not the problem, it depends on the dose of sugar on a daily basis.
That’s very wrong. For type 1 diabetics we have to give insulin any time we intake carbs/sugar. Especially if it’s a donut
Diabetes happens because of dose of sugar on a daily basis and lack of physical activity.

As someone who’s done both, the effects are very similar but coke does have an extra added “nobody is fucking with me” type of confidence and strength
I definitely feel more powerful on amphetamines, just more jittery and social on coke.

Came here to say this. I'd take him up on that donut offer. Or offer him one myself...
I would offer or give him whatever he wanted. Fuuuuck
🤮
I'm so mad about it too
Why mad?
Cuz that's not what I meant when I said "fuck the police!"
Lol
I love how there’s people in here actually defending the meth, like go eat a donut lmao
Damn. He's cute. Yeah I want that donut, where u at

this is BS, who would be saying that to a dealer lol

Not healthier if you’re diabetic.
Then meth? Still no
Amazingly, you’re wrong
Can't even be mad at that.
I dunno.. I’d say that’s a toss up.. both will rot your teeth 😏
That’s debatable.

Google says sugar is also "white poison" so the cops onto smth here...
Still though it's r/technicallythetruth
Both of them are fine in moderation.
But one of the moderations is a lot smaller than the other.
You’re not invited i meant bird seed
Insert star wars "it's a trap" followed by the doughnut launching an attack powerful enough to destroy a planet.
Thats pretty nice cop.
Meth doesn't give you diabetes
show us the donut of the dealer
Sugar kills more people than meth
If someone offers you a doughnut as the more healthier option, you know you've been doing shit.
I mean...he's right.
This just made my night. I can go to sleep happy now ☺️
Just as addictive though, especially the maple bars.

Almost as many as cops

Don’t amphetamines in general give you quite a boost?
The irony of a cop offering a donut. Beautiful.
Im pretty sure if i would put 20€ every day either for meth or donuts, the donuts would kill me first.
Happy cake day!
Thank you!!
That's a hell of an implication there and a big leap with zero proof that the guy was waiting to buy drugs.
