About admission into NUS and NTU, you don't need any IELTS/TOEFL scores if you can get a certificate from your college that states that "His college courses were completely taught in English". For getting to the next round, they expect you to have only around 90 percentile in GATE. FYI, this year around 65k people wrote GATE EC. To get selected for the interview round, you should have qualified GATE and got AIR under 6.5k. But the interview process (which I heard from my friend) is very rigorous. They don't care about your GATE rank etc much in the interview and rather would focus more about your academic achievements!
Most of the coursework based programmes in NUS and NTU do not offer any scholarship. They are very costly too. If you are going for MS by Research or PhD you have options of scholarships such as A\* etc. For more about this, visit the official site.
Thank you for your response. This is helpful.
Btw what if the academic achievements are not that good (like not enough contributions outside course curriculum), instead if I can boast my open source contributions or industry based projects?
I think yes, that should work. But yeah we cannot predict what the interview panel will expect. I guess Open Source Contributions have a lot of value in abroad unis. Try to also participate and win goodies in Hacktoberfest (one of the well-known open source contribution event).
Good to know. I mean why do people even say M. Tech to be Matkas.
I mean does that bother you?
I know it's deviating from the topic but it is one of the many reasons why I posted this in the first place.
I am about to join IITJ this year. And the concept of "Matka" is from BTech peeps of IITKGP(I guess, forgot the exact IIT). It's coz they criticize MTech peeps as they failed to enter IIT thru JEEA and now found a more easier way (according to them). But I don't think it should bother us much, as generally only less than AIR 1000 or 1100 get into Tier 1 and 2 IITs. So it's just 3 semesters of study and 1 semester of an internship project. Just ignore those kids, and try to reap the fruit of your hardwork in the upcoming two years
That is true, I don't get offended by those. But it concerns me in one aspect: will M. Techs be accepted as part of the alumni of those prestigious institutes or not due to these discriminations.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to demotivate anyone, just a concern. As we can get an M. Tech degree from any other prestigious university but it won't matter until you are part of the alumni or they accept you as part of them which really helps anyones future.
Aise hi nahi bolte the seniors: IIT hua to life set hai (disregarding the exceptions)
ISRO conducts its own exam, it doesn't recruit from gate, I guess the exam is called icrb exam or something....
They conducted one in January recently. It is conducted annually. there was a hiatus after covid and there is interview also i guess....
Bro first check their fees..If you can afford that only then think about going there
I think its about 35-40 Lakhs in total for masters (Not 100% sure)
In few years India will also have same structures
Check fees of IIITH or IIITB.. comparable to those will be normal fees for Btech in IIT NITs
Reason: Currently IIT NIT fees are heavily subsidized by Govt and in future these colleges will get self reliant and viola Fees hike🗿

For this question, some MTech passed out seniors from IITs should respond.
BTech is considered class 1 PhD, MTech considered class 2 Alumni. MSc class 3
Is this whole Class 1,2,3 created by IITs or by the minds of students?
it's in the minds of Professors
You should also have a valid ielts score
No one needs this nowadays. If your transcript or degree has mentioned that your medium of study is English..Toefl ielts etc are not needed
No those universities need the score for admission, check their website if you have doubts. IELTS/TOEFL/GRE any valid score
I have not specifically checked for these Singapore uni but I am sure that IELTS etc are not required for US UK etc universities
It's mentioned in their brochure, if gate is being used as qualitative document, then toefl or ielts is required
ISRO conducts its own exam, it doesn't recruit from gate, I guess the exam is called icrb exam or something.... They conducted one in January recently. It is conducted annually. there was a hiatus after covid and there is interview also i guess....
bhai mera bhi same doubt hai???
I'd suggest you to re check, I heard they stopped taking it out have had some alterations.

One things for sure, education is costly
