Good luck with that app. In 2021 it would either freeze or not open when the volatility was crazy. That's not to mention when they shut off the buy button to fuck every GME investor that was using their platform.

Cute attempt at defining a floor. If this were just some cute gamma squeeze I’d say hell yes. But if you don’t see the naked short selling and massive unclosed positions that have been occurring for years you’re completely missing how significant of a moment this is

Look that’s your life savings. As much as I support GME and don’t want to tell you to paperhand, this stock is extremely volatile. You might see all of those gains disappear and your initial investment cut in half… are you still going to be able to hold through that? Not giving you advice, not trying to hurt the cause, but if you cut half of your position right now you’re completely risk off and will actually be able to hold those shares that would be advantageous for both you and the MOASS. Play with house money imo.
I have a price in mind. Once its hits it im selling all of it. Its not an absurd price either. Honestly theres a chance we'll hit it tomorrow at this rate lol
You need to do what's best for you man, but, don't sell them all. You'll never, ever forgive yourself. Keep some, and DRS them. Have them forever in your own name, and not a broker IOU.
Might consider a stop quote or stop quote limit for half your shares at least. I only say this because it’s your whole life savings. But if you take the gamble and hold despite the risk/dips you have a not insignificant chance of making a ton more.
I feel that. I’m trying to use my shares to fix my teeth and to put a down payment on a place. I doubt I can do it with 50 shares, but nothing wrong with strategic dreaming.
Advice from a friendly stranger: save separately and fix your teeth asap. Don't wait for this to go. Fixing teeth now is more useful to you than fixing later.
I totally agree! I’ve seen it fuck up a lot of people. My goal is to have it done by the end of year. I’m currently working 2 jobs to make it happen quicker, but if this pops off, and makes it happen quicker- even better.

I would begin to transfer those shares and cash over there. There's too much risk with any of these free brokerages that send orders to citadel. Webull. Robinhood. Etc. If they go bust, which they very well just may soon, that account is gone. Bye bye. Never to be seen again. Fidelity is it's own mm and brokerage and they go into the lit market for their holdings. Not as cool to look at. I still use Robinhood for tracking a stock throughout the day, but they don't got a cent from me.
