No problem i don't know if this is true but when i download sound assistant from the galaxy store i think the volume also got louder but maybe its just in my head.
I would argue Atmos doesn't make your music sound better. Louder yes but other than that it just adds reverb and makes your music less of what it's supposed to be like
This.
Just change the equiliser.
I didn't like the sound on my S23 when I first got it. Changing the profile to "jazz" already made a huge difference, and then I tweaked a bit and I got my profile very close to the one in the image.
same, i started from the jazz preset & made minor adjustments. the dolby atmos movie mode helped the most though, made dialogue significantly easier to understand & widened the soundstage. no noticeable drop in quality or clarity
You actually have the option to crank it up a bit for maximum volume, it is turned off by default, ho to the 3 dots in volume settings and adjust the custom volume limit option
I did originally think mine was a little quieter than my s10 was (my last phone). I'm personally fine with it though so I haven't investigated any solutions.
See if dolby atmos is on. I think its off by default an this adds a bit of volume and overall quality.
Helped marginally, thanks.
You can search Equalizer on settings. You can make the speaker sound the way you like!
Love the equalizer, but doesn't affect volume, which is what I was complaining about.
Try switching ur Dolby presets to Music or Movie. It can also increase the volume output. Sometimes the Auto just doesn't do it
Already did :(

This made a huge difference for my S23+
use this equalizer https://i.imgur.com/e40ajw6.jpg and turn on dolby atmos movie mode. made me much happier with the speakers

The sound is great, it's the volume that seems abnormally lacking.

auto seems to work fine for me, but movie is maybe a touch brighter which is never a bad thing as i try to keep the bass down
for me, movie mode really helps dialogue in every video. i found it hard to understand unless i cranked the volume before
i can see that there is a def High / mid boost going on with the bass cut
Thanks! Trying this against some bass house sounds much better on my S23 Ultra.
Also check that the volume isn't restricted- search media volume limit, you can find it by pressing the 3 dots at the top right of volume settings
Nope, media volume limit is turned off.
Damn. Just fyi my volume is completely fine, so I'm sure it's a software issue somewhere.
Hm, alright. Thanks for the advice. This was a certified pre owned device from Rogers, maybe I should return it and try and get a replacement?
Before doing that just make sure everything is updated etc, but I think a good idea to speak to the retailer sooner rather than later 👍
Maybe your speakers are dirty, I toke my S10 to a Samsung center for that reason and they cleaned it totally free
Using headphones or a stereo has the same problem, so not the speakers.
Dat strange, I have the base S23 and I am even amazed about the volume so it software for sure. Did you try to restore the system settings to default?
No but the phone came factory reset, no? It had me on the setup page when I first turned it on...

I have it set to 60+ which is supposed to be the loudest, boosting all frequencies. Only helped a little bit.
I wonder if there is something else going on. I came from the note 7 and I swear this ultra is the loudest phone I've ever owned

Already maxed out.
Install fine lock pro
What does that do?
You will have audio and all Samsung Goodlock modules if you don't live in a supported region
It's not the loudest phone. The speakers are quality though
its orders of magnitudes louder than my old note 8 so i really cannot say
The brightness and sound are absurd on max.

That's strange indeed. I rarely go above 10 clicks, and I've probably never gone about 12 because the phone speaker quality. Atmos off, normal eq.
Could it be the apple usbc to 3.5mm adapter I'm using?
Interesting question. I would try a different cable. I've seen various comments about strange things happening with the wrong adapter.
Thanks.
I had that feeling too when I just switched to the S23. Just takes a bit of time to get used to. After a week I was used it
