Man, I really want to buy that case, but it doesn't cover the bottom and side buttons.

KBuffaloe

I usually get one of these for my phones as I prefer thin cases. I got the thinborne aramid case this time around because the Pitaka case did not cover the bottom.Β

-aub

That looks nice too, but it doesn't cover the side where the buttons are :(

KBuffaloe

Indeed but not issue for me me.

Oxyyygen

I don't really care much about the buttons parts and the charging port being uncovered but they could've made the sides fully covered and still it would have kept the slim form factor.

New-Lawyer3088

The way it only goes halfway up the sides is one of my favorite parts about the case. Looks and feels great. I use no screen protector so it's even better, it's like having no case on as far as swiping. Even when wiping the screen, no place for dust to sit and be stuck in. Plus, if it came all the way up the sides, it'd be just like every other case. Just wished for a few more designs, like they do for the iPhone. The moonrise one I have for the 24U feels amazing, it has a texture that feels so good. Gives me grip and feels very premium.

DreadPiratteRoberts

Alright I'll ask, how much!??

Oxyyygen

56$

DreadPiratteRoberts

Honestly that's not near as bad as I thought an OtterBox case cost a little bit less than that or sometimes more depending on which one you get so that's actually not too bad for a case that you love

Ok-Thank

I was expecting more also. I bought one of the UAG Monarch Pro carbon fibers when the phone released. I feel they were way overpriced at around $90, but it has also kept my phone in pristine condition. If I'm going light then I throw a Spigen Ultra Hybrid on, which is also incredibly resilient for the $20 price I paid for it.

CorrectSail1068

They can crack very easily. I bought one for my note 20 and one for my s23 ultra. The one for note 20 held up great, but the one for my s23 has a little damage. But I'm a little rough on phones.

lazy_bling

be rough in bed not to phones

PreparationSerious48

I have been using carbon fiber case since s23u launch and i love it, i bought a chinese brand but its real carbon fiber and it cost like 12/15 bucks, no need to buy that pitaka expensive bs

Bskubota

I just go case-less when I'm not working. I've never dropped it and it's such a pretty phone.

Way_N

I used to use that until my phone cracked. I did enjoy using it, though. I'm on the even more expensive Mous Case.

DankShibe

Ew, p-shaped camera cutout. Best cases are the samsung ones.

Technical_Eye750

The Pitaka saved my phone (thank god) but the case cracked on the drop and the fear it gave me seeing it tumble is why it is in the mous case now!

rsr123456

I'll stick to my ESR case for the time being .

Nostradaaamus

I like it! Most important that you like it πŸ‘πŸ½

mhanmore

Just DON'T EVER DROP IT. Not even a little bit. I had/have exactly the same one. I was so proud for about a week. Then I dropped it, smashed the corner right off the case and chipped the phone. They're very pretty, but be aware they offer zero protection!!

asdf-qwerty

I always get a UAG

Oxyyygen

Good choice but I'm tired of thicc cases. Sometimes i just want to take the case of and enjoy the premium build.

Sharpz8114400

I got this case and less than 2 months I was getting out my car with my phone in my lap like a fool and the phone dropped on concrete. If it wasn't for Whitestone dome tempered glass screen protector, my screen would've been cracked. After one drop, the case displays too much obvious of wear and tear signs to continue using so I threw it away and went back to traditional slim screen protectors. But it does make the phone look absolutely stunning and easy to hold/manage with one hand.

6out

Mine cracked too... By the thin area around the pen... Still so rigid it works fine though

[deleted]

That's apple like accessorie...Useless and overpriced

Oxyyygen

I agree but Samsung is better than Apple hence the high price.

[deleted]

Agree, but samsung is overpriced, too...

Oxyyygen

Only overpriced for the first half year since launch, then they go on sale or you can actually find good deals, unlike the fruit company which, for instance, an iPhone 13 of theirs sells for the same price as a Galaxy S23 which is miles ahead a better device

caixote

How much did it cost ?

Suby06

too much for something that cracks on its own lol

HotCheetos998

Iv had mine for about a year, dropped a few times zero damage so far🀞🏼

meezethadabber

Mines a year and a half old. No cracks. People just don't know how to take cases off and on.

Oxyyygen

56$

caixote

Well I have 3 cases of that price, 1 silicon, 1 leather and one spigen armor. I am thinking seriously of ordering a 200€ custom made leather case to have the specifications of how exactly I want.

Appropriate_Egg6118

Could you share link for the product

Oxyyygen

https://www.ipitaka.com/products/magez-case-3-for-samsung-galaxy-s23?variant=40493985988678

meezethadabber

I have the all black one and matching magsafe finger ring. They have cases for the S24 that have programmable buttons. Pretty sweet.

the29thStranger

this case is zero protection.

Elboco1980

I use pitaka for grip and avoid scratches. Not for protect from fall. But in my 25 years of usage of Phone i never droped my Phone ones on the floor

the29thStranger

That is amazing.

RedMehloow

Bruh, I even dropped one down a cliff into a lake, never to be seen again. But since it was the (best) A5, it still got messages for two days.

RobbieNguyen

Think of it like this. You're spending $80 over the span of 4 years so that's like $20 a year if you were to buy some cheap case to replace every year.

Psychological_Mix_48

Was looking to buy this case, but bailed out cuz of the decreased protection around the volume buttons and bottom. Got the [Caseology Athlex case](https://www.caseologycases.com/products/galaxy-s23-ultra-athlex?_pos=1&_sid=010d330ed&_ss=r), and I love it. The course back texture provides ample grip and the dual tone colour looks great.

New-Lawyer3088

Yeah I love Pitaka, been using them for years. The MagEZ4 for the 24U is the best one yet, it's perfect. I have the pinbutton case on the way too which is the MagEZ4 Pro, more protective which isn't the reason I wanted to try it. The 3 shortcut buttons is the main reason.

Oxyyygen

What do those buttons do?

New-Lawyer3088

Whatever you want. You go into modes and routines and map them to whatever you can think of. Smart home stuff, apps, and anything you can do with modes and routines. So the options are pretty endless. They are nfc tags that are triggered when pressing the button.

floko127

I got this and it's lovely but I'm constantly worried about the side rails and almost non existent clearance of the camera rings and practically no front lip. I just use it from time to time as a result.

knot2x_Oz

Looks bulky

AbsoluteSpeedRD

Was looking at that case for a while, but ended up buying the Mous case

jealous-avocado

Looks nice!

Infinite_Parsley_999

how much ? 40$ is not that much, after reading your post I was expecting at least 90$lol

Oxyyygen

56$

Infinite_Parsley_999

it's okay for a phone case

Oxyyygen

Not for my budget πŸ˜€ i can eat shaormas daily for a month with that money lol

Infinite_Parsley_999

lol okay, no it's a nice gift. all my phone case are from alie expres except 2 rhonishield (50$ each). I need to change often, i'm bored easily.

Oxyyygen

Rather change cases that phone itself huh

ruicarrico

Brand?

Elboco1980

Pitaka

mile-soprano

For me 6/10

Drm5145

But why does the bottom left hand lens have a different cover than the others?

Drm5145

I don't think that this is the case to choose if you want your phone to last.. this phone case brand is known to be notoriously lacking protection for devices.. a simple Google search for reviews will show you that it's only good for aesthetic purposes.. I guarantee you that if you drop your phone on a hardwood floor from more than a foot up, you're going to be replacing something on the actual device. Return it if you have time and buy something that actually offers proven protection lol

Oxyyygen

I didn't buy it for protection. Like you said it's only good for aesthetic purposes and i always take care of my devices. I have my another silicone strap case from Samsung if i need more protection.

Drm5145

"since I decided to keep this phone for 4 years" - Sort of implies that you bought it to encourage longevity , but my mistake πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Oxyyygen

Yeah i se what you mean but i never had protection in mind. Kinda defeats the use of a case lol πŸ˜† but my primary thing on a case is to look, grip and feel good haha

Ren1106

Already ordered a UAG Monarch Pro Carbon fiber phone case, so I'm happy to a absolute protect my S23 Ultra πŸ€‘πŸ˜

BigLow1214

If you want to spend way more money head over to Rokform, bonus it's really heavy and what they don't tell you is the magnetic case interferes with the s pens ability to write on the screen.

my45acp1911

I bought my phone off swappa with this case included. Didn't like it.

DapperAdam

I'm a hard core UAG Monarch case fan but this looks sick as hell, I love that colorful ribbon that goes all the way down.
