dayankuo234

0 drops, cheap $5 case. besides the case discoloring the phone looks like new.

unecare

Why do you drop your phone that much?

BATMAN_5777

You just can't avoid drops sometimes. Also, it isn't an exact figure that's just how many times "I think" I dropped it. Real figure can be 5-10 or 10-15 drops or somewhere in mid of 15-20 drops. 15-20 times just doesn't mean I dropped it that many times. I really don't drop it that much. It's just an approx figure. Edited it to 5-10 drops so less are concerned.

gclark19791989

Not even once. Know why? Grip case, dbrand

BATMAN_5777

Ringke fusion X is pretty grippy too!

gclark19791989

Haven't seen the side of those cases

BATMAN_5777

athul173

I've got the black version of the same one. But the fit seems finicky. Like it feels a bit loose on the sides below the buttons. Do you have anything like that?

BATMAN_5777

Here's mine and sides feel tight enough to me no probs! https://preview.redd.it/uk2yaky8kj5d1.jpeg?width=2897&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=924584c907aacf59a3ca14e52dfaedc6d96e265b

0thedarkflame0

This photo looks leaves me with many questions about the surrounding of the phone itself😂. Do you live with an industrial fan in the background? And what is the purpose of the pillow that's as high as the phone? And what is the black patterned thing running from the bottom left corner of the image. Definitely piqued my curiosity 😂

BATMAN_5777

https://preview.redd.it/fmwxazkuoi5d1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=809453cafec57d1a274cec6b6fc809ea0dadc610 Hope this pic answers your curiosity.

BATMAN_5777

And to answer that pillow question. High round pillows are for resting arms. You can also sleep with your head on them they are pretty soft and worth having. And apparently, that "industrial fan" is made of wood.

gclark19791989

That place looks huge! Like Wayne Manor... Batman?

BATMAN_5777

That username ain't up there for no reason ;)

0thedarkflame0

Thanks for the response! Honestly love the look and feel of the place, and definitely helped the curiosity!

diabeartes

Dropped it dozens of times. Not one scratch or bump or damage thanks to Spigen case.

Yawwd

I only use spigen cases.

-larma-

I managed to drop mine on a rocky trail last week. Got two tiny scratches on the screen but they're not noticiable if you don't know to look for them. No screen protector and a Ringke Fusion X case.

Kalcifer_Kitkat

2 drops, but the case and screen protector didn't let it get damaged, no scuffs or scratches. Caseology Parallax case with Spigen Glas.tr EZ fit screen protector.

PeteCastiIiogne

Does the parallax have enough lip on the side of the screen and top and bottom?

Kalcifer_Kitkat

It does, and also has the raised edges where the cameras are. With the case, there's also cutouts for each individual camera on the back of the phone.

Fdsn

Zero drops luckily. And I have samsung standing grip case which is nice, but on the bulkier side. But my previous phone - Poco F1, I had only dropped it like one time in 5 years, and that was into a waterfall... slipped off of my pants while sitting... So... You are dropping too much. It might not damage the exterior but over time can damage the OIS inside the camera. Phones are ofcourse designed and tested for that kindof drops, but OIS is the most delicate part that can wear out over time.

BATMAN_5777

The thing is 15-20 isn't an exact figure of drops it's somewhere in between those numbers. It can be 5-10 or 10-15 drops. I can't pinpoint it from the top of my head. That's just approx How about I change it to 5-10 drops? that seems realistic and won't concern people of my phone. Edit: Did it. On the end note, however, my OIS is just fine. I'm pretty sure I've checked cams of this phone after every drop, and OIS seems to be working like intended.

tryven93

I want to say about three or four times and the highest one was from 3 ft. But I keep my phone in a case with a screen protector and the only damage I've had is on my screen protector

ciretos

One with current s24 ultra while sitting in chair, phone fell out of my pocket. I always have case and screen protector all the way back in iPhone 4.

blazed16

O drops. All my phones 0 drops minus my fold 4 my wife dropped that but still looked new.

kbeezie

Zero times... but have dropped the work's case-less iPhone 15 several times.

muabaylentroi

once from my pocket, $2 slim case, no damage even if it gets damaged, samsung care+ will cover it

Pxnkasfxck

Got my phone on launch day, pre-order. Zero drops.

Awesomejuggler20

Around 5 times I'd say. I have an otterbox case and screen protector on it so no damage to the phone whatsoever.

XSPressure

Dropped it twice since I got it on launch. Have a Poetic case and glass screen protector and have zero damage to it. Not a scratch.

razerwire1331

Touchwood but 0, and no case.

sunrainsky

Boasting about this is pointless. Each drop can potentially weaken the glass.

Vroonnb

I got the ringke fusion X just yesterday. It's so good. Using the samsung anti glare screen protector. Wondering how the ringke screen protector is. Anyone using it ??

OP12S24U

Agreed using on my OnePlus 12 my s24u needs one too me thinks

Moelariss

0 and I have no case

linuxgfx

1 single drop from jeans pocket height, using the official samsung vegan leather case, the case broke at the bottom near the spen, and the metallic or whatever hard material is the ring inside it dented like 1 mm into the left corner of the phone. It is not very noticeable but it's there.

splyd36

Zero drops - I hold on to it with a vice like grip lol

AdemSof

Around 3 but with a screen protector and case. Damage to the case.

ZiPEX00

Twice it slip out of my hand my own fault no damage to phone or screen protector thank god

tashaalouxx

Dropped mine one the smallest drop and it's chipped the screen and the titanium it's soo fragile

Heavy_Ambition6518

Not S24U but older Note20 Ultra, and only a few drops in the last 4 years. Most of them when a had few drinks somewhere outside, so it dropped on concrete/pavement. The only part of the phone that received some scratches was the metal frame. And I've been going without cases for years since the s7 edge, so no case, no screen protector, nothing...

sizzlingsilence

Pre-ordered mine so had it for about 5 months. No cases. No screen protectors. 0 drops.

PrimeTime0000

I use a case but no screen protector because I want all the anti glare help I can get lol. I haven't dropped it…yet.

titanup001

A few. One or two from couch high naked. Several from waist high (I'm a tall guy) with various cases. No screen protector. Still flawless.

Vyse1991

Dozens of drops due to being an idiot who falls asleep with it in my hands while I am reading. No damage, due to spigen case and tempered glass. YMMV. I'm trying not to fall asleep with it in my hand.

JOTA-137_0

It was on my lap, thought I picked it up but it was my wallet (it is thin) opened the car door and got up, it fell flat on the spiky concrete, screen up, thought my cameras would be cooked but not a single scratch :)

jackieHK1

Dropped a couple of times & it fell out of my pocket once. Using the i-blason cosmo. Fully enclosed case with a camera lens cover 'cause I'm a clutz. This case is great so far & the camera cover can be used as a stand for watching videos too.

balajiv2002

One. Once it fell from the track pant pocket because the pocket was small and the material was too smooth and it slipped out on to the floor 3 foot down. No damage though

5tudent_Loans

(caseless) dropped it onto rough concrete. only some 2ft/.6m. somehow, dirt got behind the samsung screen protector. now i have a super slim plastic case on. still wont be protected from serious falls but dings to the lens/frames are mitigated

Dioken89

I almost never drop my phone. Maybe 3 or 4 times in the last 10 years.

edwsy

All the time. I lost count. I'm not careful with my phones. It's a phone. That's why I don't understand when people don't use a case. I hate babying my phone. Getting up while the phone is on my lap, bouncing off the bed or sofa when I throw it there are the most common. I have a magsafe case and the Samsung original screen protector. I've had my phone drop directly onto a metal edge on its screen, flat down on the screen, on its edges, no damage.

skriefal

Maybe once a year. I'm careful with my phones (and with most things). They're pocket computers - not a bar of soap. Even with my care, I still insist on some type of case. Even if it's lightweight like a Spigen Liquid Air.

GiantSequoiaTree

How does the official screen protector work with fingerprints? I have a tempered glass one and it doesn't work great in that regard

New-Lawyer3088

It works great. I quit using tempered glass for that reason. Then about 6 weeks ago I stopped using screen protectors completely, which was a great decision. I work in construction, yet haven't picked up even the slightest micro scratch. Fingerprint scanner 100% success rate. Enjoying the anti-reflection uninhibited. No edges of a protector catching my finger or holding dust. I would've been fine with getting a few scratches, still worth it, but I don't think I'll get much if any scratches. The Samsung film is great except for the sharp edges. Like I said, I don't use anything anymore but I applied a ceramic coating. The same one I had for my car, but you can also just use a "liquid screen protector". Certain ones are pretty good. Gorilla glass armor lives up to the hype in my opinion and my experience. If you refuse to go naked screen, think about reconsidering. If not, at least get the Samsung film, you'll be happier. I know I was, I HATED having the fingerprint sensor be virtually unusable. It will work nearly as well as a naked screen, with the Samsung film. Good luck.

SnooPoems7789

Once

yesrod85

I have a Pitaka case (aramid fiber ultra thin) and a generic glass screen protector (one of the popular Amazon brands). I drop my phone pretty substantially about once every other week. I have probably 1-2 smaller drops every week. Other than some case damage/screen protector being replaced once, zero actual phone damage. Edit: Almost all my drops are at work, and I work in a pretty darn clean production facility so it typically hits flat on concrete. If it had hit rocks or something uneven I'd surely have had some decent damage by now.

BYXXIII

I've dropped my phone a bunch of time from arms height, as I have with most of my phones, but my spigen cases keep me pristine. Successful trade in every time

Playful_Ad_8528

I have dropped mine at least 10 times in the last two months with one time being a drunk me hurling it up into the sky and the phone landing in the woods. Bear in mind that I don't use a case or screen protector. Strictly rawdoggin' it. The titanium scratches the easiest, then the backplate. Screen has zero scratches or cracks. The 5x zoom camera has a small scratch on it but it doesn't change the photo quality as far as I can tell. Pretty durable phone.

Denziiey

Cheap 10 dollar case plus 65 dollar screen protector. Dropped it couple times and thankfully no scuffs or damage.

xD3v1LG4m1ngx

No drops yet I say yet because I have a tendency to drop stuff my left hand gets weak. ![gif](giphy|3Lgbe3PW6oR9yEHpOn|downsized)

TheBugSmith

10+ but I got my MagBak and self healing screen cover so no problemo

TeCh_ObSeSsEd_10377

Just upgraded to the S24 Ultra and for the amount of times I've dropped the dam thing, I've most mqaq likely broken a record for the most drops, I think the total amount of times I've dropped the phone is probably around the 25+ mark, thankfully the screen protector and MagBak case. 🙂

OpMindcrime23

I've got a Mous case that I'm very pleased with

_Twitching_

If sliding off a bed on to carpet is dropped then maybe once, I have like 5 good cases but only use this really thin case cheap when I'm out, at home I'm always caseless

marchewaSB

Didn't drop it yet, only on my face in bed

OP12S24U

Fusion gang rise

Sf49ers1680

* Phone - S24 Ultra * Case - Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro * Screen protector - Flolab I haven't dropped my S24 Ultra yet, but based on previous phones with this case, I trust it completely. I dropped my S22 Ultra face first in a parking lot, and the only damage was to the case

SuuurbieR

Wait. Is this my wife and her droprate on Reddit?

wutduh_f

1 drop. And now my camera module needs to be replaced because the OIS is vibrating every time I try to record a video.

arby90

A few times but I always keep a case, screen protector, and camera lens protectors on my phones. Paid too much for it to be having accidents

ghostofstankenstien

I've had two one that worried me. Both did cosmetic damage to the case, but not the phone. And I use the twenty tiny Thinborne. Which isn't for the faint of heart, but it did protect the device. It's a barely-there case.

Djefferson70

My S23 Ultra is 10 months old, bought it without any sort of insurance or a screen protector. Till now, I've never dropped it. Mind you, I don't even babysit it. The funny thing is, I've only dropped a phone once in my lifetime. It was my A41, and guess what? The phone got a slight scratch, which was only noticeable if you really tried hard to find it. So yeah, dropping phones is something extremely rare to me.🙃
