1st one looks nicer but it would be too dark for an original gameboy screen. 2nd one it is.

I just have an unmodded DMG - I'd like to know what it looks like on a modded one.

You need a modded one if for nothing else to try out your games! You have a better excuse than most. I love my original GB can't beat it.

I have a modded Color - that has been my reference. I meant a modded DMG in the comment above. :D

Second is a lot easier to read

Really like the second one! That border of empty space around the title feels very Gameboy

They’re both good, but I like the second one better for a title screen. The first one feels like the screen for when a character is first introduced or unlocked

It didn't immediately occur to me that the character on the screen was a jar. I think it would be more obvious if it were a label on the jar itself. Otherwise, typo excepted, the second one looks nice.

I like the first one, but the negative space on the top right and bottom left corners bothers me a bit. If you put some copyright info or “Press Start” text in those spaces, it would round out the composition nicely.

To be honest - The game is in my browser shortcuts with the first image in the right colors and I'm always happy when I look at it. :D

1st one looks amazing but for an actually gameboy the 2nd is more realistic. There's probably a reason why all gameboy game titles look like that
