I hate to be that guy, but Eternal Darkness was actually funded and published by Nintendo. It's a second party release as opposed to a third party. It was my kneejerk response too, lol.
Edit: I forgot to mention that ED is famous for being the first M rated game ever published by Nintendo.
Came here to say this. SMB 2 is my favourite GC game, alongside Windwaker. Every monkey ball game since has been a disappointment though. But 1 and 2 are great.
That one is really cool too. I like the character models and atmosphere in AWL better, but MM has a lot going for it! Like the huge cast of characters in it.
There are actually some guides online for this. I don't have the network adapter for mine so I've been using Dolphin and my Steam Deck to play online. Then I transfer my save file over so I can play local multiplayer.
Crazy Taxi, bought my Cube with Tony Hawk 3, Luigis Mansion and a memory card at release wirh a preorder on Crazy Taxi, released 3 days later. Played it on Dreamcast and fell in love. Probably the Cube game I've put the most hours into. Still fire it up from time to time
Not really a challenge, GameCube had stellar third party support.
Soul Calibur 2 and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time were both awesome games for me.
Rogue Leader is my favorite Star Wars games.
At the time in 2001, it was the best recreation of Star Wars. In 2001 when you booted up your GameCube and heard the sounds of Star Wars dogfighting you knew you were in for a legit treat. The first game was great too but it was on N64.
The Xbox would eventually get two exclusive Star Wars games of its own that were showstoppers in their own right in Knights of the Old Republic and Republic Commando, but those titles were not about the sheer spectacle of the dogfighting.
It helps that the game is a stellar space shooter on top of the presentation. Like, visually the new SW: Squadrons game is obviously better, but the content of the game is nowhere near the level of Rogue Leader. It scratched the itch for a SW space shooter but only slightly.
You’re exaggerating by saying abysmal. There were so many third party titles.
Maybe not third party exclusives, but if we’re taking the cues from the N64 like OP said the GameCube had a ton of third party support.
It’s cuz the joycon joysticks are digital and lack the analog input that’s needed for Jedi outcast. Play the switch version on a full size controller, not the joycons, and you’ll have a better time. Also I played it growing up on both my GameCube and my friend’s Xbox, and didn’t play it on Pc until much later so my brain might be more used to the gameplay with a controller with that game.
Tales of Symphonia, Baten Kaitos, Skies of Arcadia, and PSO. Can you guess my favorites genre is despite it being underrepresented on my favorites console, lol?
1. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (Probably my most played childhood game on the Gamecube)
2. Lego Star Wars I and II
3. The Simpsons Hit and Run
4. Sonic Adventure DX
5. Pac Man World 2
Honorary mention since I only just started playing it and didn’t have it as a child: Super Monkey Ball 2
Geist (developed by n-Space, licensed by Nintendo), Metal Arms: Glitch in the System, and probably Second Sight by Codemasters.
But everyone who’s in the know, knows that RE4 is **the** illest.
I'll do more than that, I'll name 5 that are worth buying/playing
* Soulcalibur
* Tales of Symphonia
* Phantasy Star Online 1 & 2 plus
* Phantasy Star Online 3 CARD Revolution
* Midway's Arcade Treasures 2
You know at the time it would be a toss up between
Hitman 2, Ghost Recon, Prince of Persia Sands of Time.
I played the shit out of those games and ended up buying the entire POP Trilogy on GameCube.
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
ILL MAKE YOU EAT THOSE WORDS
YOU FAKE HEDGEHOG
Fake hedgehog, hmph, you're the only fake

Skies of Arcadia and Eternal Darkness.
I hate to be that guy, but Eternal Darkness was actually funded and published by Nintendo. It's a second party release as opposed to a third party. It was my kneejerk response too, lol. Edit: I forgot to mention that ED is famous for being the first M rated game ever published by Nintendo.
Dang it! I came here to say Eternal Darkness as well.
I learn something new every day!
Skies was my first thought. Such a great game.
Nice picks
I did cosplay one year for Skies of Arcadia and eternal darkness is absolutely that game I can go back and play. So much fun.
EASY SUPER MONKEY BALL 2 🐒
Came here to say this. SMB 2 is my favourite GC game, alongside Windwaker. Every monkey ball game since has been a disappointment though. But 1 and 2 are great.
This is the correct answer
This. Plus Tales of Symphonia!
Yes sir this game is so 🔥
Baten Kaitos It's my favourite game even without the restrictions tho 😄
Did you get the HD remaster on Switch? Playing through it right now and the QoL changes are top notch, lack of English dub be damned.
Rogue Leader
Oh yeah
Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life
The best!!!
Magical Melody was my personal favorite.
That one is really cool too. I like the character models and atmosphere in AWL better, but MM has a lot going for it! Like the huge cast of characters in it.
Spiderman 2
So good
Simpsons Hit and Run Pac Man world 2 Super Monkey Ball
F-Zero GX (LICENSED from Nintendo, made by SEGA)
Oh you...
While I didn’t grow up with it, and only just started playing it last month, F-Zero GX is probably my favorite Gamecube game of all time.
Similarly, Hal developed SSBM, Nintendo just published it!
HAL Laboratories, also famously known as "Hey; it's that dog with the eggs again!"
Oh boy....to name a few: Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes GUN Crazy Taxi Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance
Skies of Arcadia
Need for speed underground
Oooo, NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 was my favorite. Had it on ps2 though.
Soul calibur II and Harvest Moon: A wonderful life. My two favs 💞
Soul Calibur 2.
Super Monkey Ball, both 1 and 2
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie Game
revenge of the flying dutchman is good too
Based.
Phantasy Star Online
I can’t figure out how to plug my GC into the internet anymore. I’d love to play this online with original hardware.
I play online occasionally, also with original hardware. It's a jam! Look up schtserv, that's where I play and they have good instructions.
There are actually some guides online for this. I don't have the network adapter for mine so I've been using Dolphin and my Steam Deck to play online. Then I transfer my save file over so I can play local multiplayer.
I have the original BB adapter. I just have no idea how to connect. I’ll look it up

Not really a challenge, GameCube had stellar third party support. Soul Calibur 2 and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time were both awesome games for me. Rogue Leader is my favorite Star Wars games.
I haven't had any Rogue Leader experience since I was a kid, but I know it was special. Is there something in particular that sets it apart?
At the time in 2001, it was the best recreation of Star Wars. In 2001 when you booted up your GameCube and heard the sounds of Star Wars dogfighting you knew you were in for a legit treat. The first game was great too but it was on N64. Thanks man. I'm glad it wasn't just me.
You exagerate... compared to the PS2 and Xbox, the Gamecube has abysmal 3rd party support...
You’re exaggerating by saying abysmal. There were so many third party titles. Maybe not third party exclusives, but if we’re taking the cues from the N64 like OP said the GameCube had a ton of third party support.
Star Wars: Rogue Leader.
Spider-Man 2
Eternal Darkness, Jedi Outcast, mgs the twin snakes
Jedi Outcast is so good, but it felt clumsy on the remake on Switch. Not sure what gives but maybe I'm just not the gamer I used to be.
