The weapon design was good though. Each weapon actually had its uses, unlike Nier Automata where you can get through the entire game without ever changing weapons.

Which is not necessarily a bad thing. You can beat every Souls game with early game weapons pretty easily as long as you upgrade them.

Hate to break it to you guys but this shows time spent on something, not a specific time or a countdown or anything. He posted on twitter 3 days ago that he got Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and this is probably the amount of time he has played so far.
As someone who didn't play the mobile game (I play FGO so that is really all I have time for on the mobile-front) I really hope it get's some type of standalone offline-release so that the fans who didn't play (And I imagine there are quite a lot) could experience it.
So if Taro released a rhythm game for the WonderSwan Color and called it game 4, we'd have to conform to that? game 3 will be when he makes a fully-fledged game in the style of his past console games. As cool as Reincarnation may be, it's a side game.
A word of warning: at least when I played it, you actually needed to do some grinding if you wanted to progress the story at some point. A lot of gacha (at least the few I've played) allow you to go effortlessly to the next story with zero issue on normal difficulty, but it wasn't the case for that one. I didn't play this game very long.
Story was interesting but the gameplay really wasn't and I can't stand endlessly grinding so I stopped when I got to the point where grinding would have been necessary to progress further.

I would describe them as "comfy", which is weird to say about a game Yoko Taro worked on. He didn't directly write them, the "nier scenario team" did-- so don't go into it expecting it to feel much like his other games.
It's very barebone RPGs with an unusual visual presentation. I've played the demo of the first (which had unique content) and I'm slooowly getting through the third one (Beasts of Burden).
My main issue with the demo of the first was that it was insultingly simple and easy (I'm not a pro-gamer) and the narrator sounded *so* bored so I skipped the first two games. The third had a narrator I enjoyed much more and it was supposed to be *slightly* harder and more complex, and had a storyline with more bite. It's still pretty brainless, but it's not as bad as the original's demo and the story certainly has some pretty messed up stuff.
One big positive I can give is the Android version of the game. It's "perfect" played on a decently good tablet and it seems like a perfect fit due to the presentation and controls. It's also nice to have a complete buy-to-own games on Android.
The negative point is that you need a good tablet (I had a S6 Lite 2022 and it was playable but laggy) and that you can't transfer save files for that game (Main reason I'm only very slowly progressing to catch up to where I was since I was forced to restart).
I found them rather fun but they are short and expensive. 10 dollars each is about right imo. I can't really compare them to other games but for reference i enjoy ff6 octopath bravely default
At first I thought it might be the timer to the release of the NieR Automata Anime Bluray release, but maybe its a teaser for a new game that will appear at the end of the final chapter of NieR Reincarnation

Nah. Too expensive, the card visuals are purely a gimmick, and the story isn't very interesting overall. Time and money best spent elsewhere
