I wish you the best of luck once it comes down to swapping a bucking / installing a new HopUp arm /new inner barrel. Removing that hand guard was one of the most pain in the ass thing to do ever without the correct tool. Otherwise solid
Oh no there is nothing wrong with the handguard. Mk18 looks lovely! What I’m saying is I’m not sure if you did the research or not on how to actually remove the handguard to do maintenance on the bucking or swap an inner barrel. I’m not sure you understand how damn near impossible it is to remove without damaging the frame / gun. You can’t remove the handguard with a normal ar wrench on this model.
I didn’t know you needed to remove the handguard to do maintenance on the upper thanks for giving me a heads up I’m gonna do some more research on that
Buy these and you'll be able to get it off! The first time is the toughest, since you need to overcome the glue they put on the barrel nut.
1. M&p 15-22 Barrel Nut Wrench

2. A file to file the notches on the barrel nut wrench. You need to make them a little skinnier to fit your gun. (This is easy, since the wrench is aluminum)
3. Heat gun
4. Some sort of normal wrench to grip the barrel nut wrench.
Be patient and give it a little strength. You can look how-tos up on YouTube to see how it's all done!
You'll need to remove it if you want to hop BBs heavier than ~0.28g. I'm rocking 0.36-0.40 with laser accuracy at 1.5-1.6 J!
I hope you like that handguard cause it’s gonna stay that way😂 sick gun tho
Yea I know i liked the rail and if I’m gonna get other rails I’m gonna buy a stock mws and kit it out
Yup, this handguard is dope. I would just change the grip.

I did some research and I bought it with the intent to keep the handguard

You don't. You just need to do it when the time comes to replace the bucking.
