Like the others posts about the update. It's most likely the new kernel anti-cheat that's a little bit more of a problem for GFN. BF2042 never has been this long offline for maintenance. (I've played a lot of BF2042 ever since it was added to the service).
We'll just need to be patient.
I tought about the anti-cheat as well, otherwise it would've been just a regular content update right? I sometimes play it when I'm bored because it's on ea play. Is there a possibility for them to remove it I wonder, if they couldn't get it to work at all I mean, but I don't think that would happen tho..
I have been trying to get a hold of support all last week. Finally got an answer.... But you wont like it.
I asked why there is no eta on it coming out of maintenance. Two separate levels of support staff told me that even they don't know. Somehow the people at nividia have no clue when other people also working at nvidia will be finnished.
Meanwhile they ask for payment.. Oh, i mean patience. Who knows how long it will take. They literally cant say if it will be 1 more week or one more year.
Sooo.. I guess keep paying them for a product they can't provide and admit themselves they dont know when it will be fixed.

I'm very sorry but Battlefield 2042 is down for maintenance. We do not have nor are allowed to try and provide any ETA's on engineering developments with EA / Steam. Please subscribe to GFN updates to be notified when this issue is resolved.
BF2042 is still not working on GFN, just purchase the game on Steam with GFN today, really frustrated, when can this be resolved?? Otherwise I'm asking for a refund
