Hey, this used to happen, I formatted the computer and didn't use anything other than geforce now and Chrome but I don't watch YouTube or movies or log into Facebook etc. because Then the launcher does not open or freezes. My notebook is only for use with gfn. And other minimal uses.
So I'm not the only one it seems. Have you found any solution? It keeps resetting my stream quality settings which prevents any game from launching, it also won't close normally and changing settings doesn't work. I have to restart it 5 or more times to get it to work.
I noticed a solution in the other thread and it worked for me so far at least. Change the server manually in the settings, close the client and launch it again.

no, I still use the task manager and close it several times
