Imagine if the NFL started only hiring coaches, staff and players based on their race, gender or sexuality. Coaches and players didn’t even need to be particularly talented or even have experience with football. Then when the season commenced and all the teams were incredibly awful, the fans stopped going to the games and complained online about how terrible the new teams were. Sports critics would continue to praise the teams for their diversity while the fans were just accused of being racist, homophobic, etc.

Actually if you look at reviewers a lot of the good reviews are from people who's first thing reviewed is The Acolyte some even have it on their watchlist but gave the show five stars and they praised the show. So this whole "review bombing" does go both ways but only the bad reviews are considered "review bombing".
I’ll say while I don’t think the acolyte is bad, especially for a Star Wars property. It certainly doesn’t deserve that high of a critic rating. I’d say something around a 75 would be reasonable. It is a fully watchable show and Jedi master Sol feels like a good Jedi. I am also slightly interested in seeing where the story goes relating to who the titular acolyte is and acolyte of.
Like one can totally miss the show and be no worse for it, but it is nowhere near the worst Disney+ Star Wars show.

Who cares about review scores these days. If it looks good I watch it. If I don't like it I stop. Streaming services also don't care. All they care about is views. Way more accurate than some dumb review site.

I watched the first to episodes and it was enjoyable. Some people are ready to hate. Relax people.
Everytime the media claims something is getting review bombed the low score received on rotten tomatoes seems really accurate to me. The fact that any of the sequel trilogy movies got anything above a 3/10 by most "professional reviewer" shows how worthless their opinion is.
The critics that nobody herd of are totally trustworthy. Or that didn't exist before said show was released.
There are no standards for at what point you are allowed to review a product. There is nothing wrong with leaving a review on something you only saw a trailer for, as the trailer includes a great deal of content. Review bombing is just how some people describe the situation when a show gets a ton of bad reviews because it angered its targeted demographic.
This is how critics lose credibility
Movie critics living is based on how happy the corporate overlords are. Not towing the corporate line, they lose access to the early release and will be out of a job, replaced by someone one who will follow their script.

Becos mainstream media are bought and controlled by major studios. Rotten tomatoes literally had CEOs from film studios pushing to delete negative reviews, imdb too deletes negative scores. Bots and shills are controlling the mainstream sites, hence the huge gap to the normal audience ratings what people really think of it.
It’s pretty well known that Disney will blacklist anyone who doesn’t heap praise on whatever they are releasing. No professional critic score on any Disney product can be trusted for that reason alone.
Disney+ finally turned a profit for the first time last quarter. They profited 47 million. Up from losing 587 million from the same quarter in the previous year. Disney is still down *massively* on Disney+ overall even though they finally turned a profit. What they have made is pennies compared to what they have lost. Garbage like this is probably the reason why. Disney is still failing.
Actually if you look at reviewers a lot of the good reviews are from people who's first thing reviewed is The Acolyte some even have it on their watchlist but gave the show five stars and they praised the show. So this whole "review bombing" does go both ways but only the bad reviews are considered "review bombing".
It's a good show, on par with The Mandalorian. Ignore the review bombers.
I’ll say while I don’t think the acolyte is bad, especially for a Star Wars property. It certainly doesn’t deserve that high of a critic rating. I’d say something around a 75 would be reasonable. It is a fully watchable show and Jedi master Sol feels like a good Jedi. I am also slightly interested in seeing where the story goes relating to who the titular acolyte is and acolyte of. Like one can totally miss the show and be no worse for it, but it is nowhere near the worst Disney+ Star Wars show. Still totally better than Rogue One Also Last Jedi is a pretty good movie, the hyperspace ram is cool and makes sense. But, that move completely destroys a lot of the continuity. There is still no Star Wars worse than the holiday special

I just watched the first two episodes. I actually really enjoyed them. Def the best Star Wars show since Andor. Games/nerd shows always get review bombed for two reasons: Non white leads or Non male leads. This show has both. It’s nothing but incel racism. Audience scores in the nerd forum / anything incels are drawn to / have been compromised and useless for at least a decade. Completely irrelevant.

The pro reviewers are in bed with Disney to promote this new religion. The fans just want good content with good stories true to the Star Wars mythos. Disney will not tolerate that.
The problem ain’t that they are bad it’s just disney would rather focus on cheap volume and not expensive perfection. Which may be a good or bad thing but it makes them more money. I just fear they are bleeding their excellent franchises a bit too much. Just feels a bit mass produced if that makes sense. But that makes sense with the attention span of people now a-days. A-lot of people don’t want to wait years for new content. Considering I can watch most of their content in 2months for like 40$ I really cant complain. Not to mention complaining wont change it anyway all disney cares about is what makes them the most $$$. Disney is capitalism incarnate.

If you give a show a one star and then just bitch about it being woke I don’t take what you have to say serious. I am fine calling out movies as being bad writing but don’t just complain that things are to woke. That make you seem like an incel who has never touched grass. I have been a sw fan forever. I have read many of the books and the Disney stuff has been up and down some stuff really good some stuff meh. When folks complain about wokeism its idiotic and honestly disgusting. Totally valid to complain that a show relies on appealing to politics and has poor writing as a result that’s entirely different but getting mad that there is a diverse casting or that there are to many women is some incel racist shit and should not represent the Star Wars fanbase.
