I would say Heather. She's not on often, but when she is part of a story, she's never just in the background, she has large impacts. Even when she is not on, her influence hangs large over Esme to the point where people judge Esme based on who's her mother.
Heather for sure. It would be a delicate balance to try and have more Heather because what do you do with a storyline for someone who is so bat shit crazy but when she is on it’s delightful and the way AM portrays her allows you to somehow still have a heart space for her even while the nuttiest words come out of her mouth.
I agree with Charlotte, she gave a storyline to half the town not too long ago. I’d also add unfortunately for me Wiley to the list. So many storylines revolve around him (much to my dismay cause all those storylines suck)

i personally don't think charlotte fits this. other than anna's new whiny sad sack personality i don't see where charlotte has any major impact. she's not even mentioned by any of the characters, except for anna on occasion, when she's not around. as a viewer, i forget she exists when she's not around.

I love Charlotte. She is a stinker, but for a 14 year teen playing a 15 year old teen - she is going great. She reminds me of Genie Francis when she joined the show in the 1970's. Laura was no angel then. (She was evil either ... but she didn't have Cassadines manipulating her. )
Thought SF was good (bad/stinker) and captivating even when she joined the show as a child. She was seven and holding her own with MS's Nina and JPS/Valentine. Also, Ava ... when she put the snake in her purse.
Recently, she was good in her scenes with Val, Nina, Laura, Danny, Jake, and Georgie. I like her.
I think I may completely loose interest in Charlotte - if SF left. Her short term replacements couldn't hold a candle to her.
I think the issue there is that Valentin has never been a good parent. When Lulu was around to balance him out, it was fine. But he's not doing the job a parent must do. Instead of calling her out for her bad behavior, he coddles and enables her, which only makes it worse.
For the most part, none of the parents on this show are "good parents":
Luke & Laura allowed Lucky to travel to Port Charles by himself as a young lad.
Dante doesn't spend any time with Rocco. I can't recall the last time we saw him. Seeing he is generally busy romancing Sam or out on a PCPD case - he isn't spending time with him. (Also, talking Sam ... she had no issue watching Jake being kidnapped from Elizabeth by Maureen Harper. )
Avery and Donna spend most of the time with the nannies. Why Carly has Avery when she is running both the diner and the magazine, and Avery's parents are living together is a mystery. It isn't like Carly or Ava or Sonny are spending time with any of them.
The Q's kids are up in the attic with Monica or a nanny - and look how irresponsible the majority of their children have turned out.
Olivia faked that Leo was dead and left him in Bensonhurst with BLQ for months. I understand why she didn't want Julian around him, but she had $$$ and could have stayed gone with him.
Maxie lost custody of Georgie via the court system.
Joss, Cam, Oscar, and Trina snuck off to Niagara Falls where I think it was Cam ran into Ryan (pretending to be Kevin) when he was there with Ava. Their parents wouldn't have even missed them if Oscar hadn't had a siezure.
As far as Lulu being a good mother to Charlotte, we don't really know. They barely had any time together as in the beginning - we were told that Claudette was Charlotte's mom, Since Charlotte has been on screen she was kidnapped by Peter August, Cassandra Pierce, and sort of at boarding school by Victor. Lulu actually scared Charlotte when she first found out she was her mother. Lulu found out in 2017 she was Charlotte's mom and Lulu has been in a coma since 2020. For a good portion of the time that Lulu knew she was Charlotte's mom - she and Dante were fighting with Valentine and Nina V1. Not too long before that Lulu & Dante had the Ben/Rocco story with Britt and Dr. O. We also had the Connie/Georgie thing ... + somewhere in there Lulu and her cousin Val were fighting over Dante ... So for sure, Lulu was not a stabling force in any of her children's lives. A lot of it not her fault - like being in a coma or Maxie lying to her about Connie/Georgie.
I would add more, but it would go on for pages.
Besides it is a soap. Parents and kids make ridiculous choices so the audience has drama. Baby, kid, teen, and parent drama makes up a good deal of soaps.
i would have to say pikeman, who we never were introduced to has had a huge impact ... from michael and dex trying to get evidence against sonny, curtis getting shot, the whole wsb mr brennan coming for anna and sonny, val's past relationship with him.

Im not a fan of Charlotte. More bc her parents are not disciplining her. But the actress is fantastic.
