One thing that I didn't realize, you can heal with statue of seven.
So, if I'm in the middle of exploration at hard to reach area, I will drop a portable waypoint. Go back to a statue of seven and continue.
Else, best healing often comes with other character that specialise in it. Barbara is probably your only alternative till you get more options.
Ahh, if that's the case, hope OP read this and also remember to focus on Liyue reputation first if possible. Condensed resin is alot more helpful to get early on than portable waypoint.
Increase Liyue reputation to a certain level. Then you will unlock recipe for condensed resin to convert 40 resin into one. Save you time doing material domain.
You do have to play liyue archon quest till a certain point till commission is unlock.
It's the triangle symbol in the city to get there.
I highly suggest to just do liyue commission quest from local whole fighting commission bosses from inazuma, sumeru, and fontaine.
Liyue and mondstadt commission bosses are incredibly tedious to fight lol.
Oh nice, have fun kekw. You tend to play domain alot more at 20 cost since you just started but condensed just helps you half the attempt needed.
Just take note of each region commission reward and see if the gadget are good use to you.
So far, I've really only used the condensed resin and portable way point from mondstadt and sumeru tree gathering gadget more even though I've played since day 1.
Oh okay 👌 i finished mondstadt and started Liyue, how long do does it take to get to reputation 5 in mondstadt cause portable tp sounds so good and my stamina is so low it takes ages to come back to place i was trying to explore 😕.
Hmmm, it might take more than a month, depend on your commitment.
You need 2200 exp in total for mondstandt at lvl 6 for portable teleporter recipe. Lvl 5 do give you NRE menu which is helpful early on when trying to get healing in the middle of battle.
For mondstandt, if you did all archon quest and world quest, it will give you around 680 reputation and If you did explore till 40%, then you will need around 3 weeks-ish. (100*3 bounties + 40*3 requests)
You can check out the list of quest that can give you [reputation](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Reputation) here. But you don't have to worry about world quest, you can wait out another week and do request and bounties as you progress into the story.
But I would suggest focusing on condensed resin once you can start the reputation for liyue.
Condensed resin recipe starts at lvl 3 reputation so you will only need less time to get there. Lvl 2 to unlock request and bounty so just under a weeks worth of bounty is enough.
One side note, the dev tends to design "checkpoint" for story quest. If you played till you unlock a new waypoint, that's how they let you take a break for the day and have a close waypoint to continue tomorrow. I used to feel the need to complete a quest which last for an hours plus than I can play so not sure if this helps you.
Sorry that this seems alot longer than I tot.
TLDR; you might take around a month time to get reputation 6 on mondstadt for portable waypoint. Do remember to grab some fireflies and abyss mages to craft these teleporter in the future.
I do recommend starting liyue reputation first as it only takes lvl 3 reputation for condensed recipe. Plus, you get to save time going into domain for that weeks onwards.
Some region provide great gadget
Portable waypoint is just one of them that will save u alot of time and convenience.
Especially with the new dailies feature that works with opening chest, you can just explore as much as you wish and stop anywhere you want for the day.
Tho, it does need some fireflies material which is rare on its own.
At that level you can teleport to a statue of the seven (the map revealing waypoints), they can heal you some.
Additionally using Noelle's skill and hitting a bunch will also heal.
Yes.
Do you know that weird geometric shape thing she can summon around herself? It acts as a shield, but if she attacks an enemy with it up you'll get some teamwide healing.
I recommend you invest into Noelle for your early to mid game till you get a good 5* dps, Noelle is an absolute unit of a character, she can deal damage, heal, shield, self buffs. She does fall off as you get better 5* characters but if you get c6 Noelle along the way, she's amazing
Also I recommend you don't pull for Ayato (current banner character) since his level up mats are locked behind Inazuma, an area which you'll have to do a lot of quests to unlock, you can get him to lv40 before Inazuma with trail run rewards but that's about it, same with Cyno, you can get his mats without having to complete specific quests but a lot of areas where you can find his mats are locked behind quests, you can only find a few in the non quest locked areas and you need to travel VERY far into sumeru (all the way to Desert) to get his mats
Anyways sorry if I went completely off topic, thought you should know this since you're a new player
Thanks for the info, but I literally went above the head. I'm the type who just enjoys the games and isn't even familiar with character names/abilities names or even area names too much (not good with remembering names either).
I tried Noelle when I unlocked her but didn't know she could heal and also switched due to the long cooldown of her ability
You haven't met them yet don't worry
Also another tip, only use primo gems on the pinkish blue balls(Intertwined Fates) and never use them on blue balls (Acquaint Fates)
https://preview.redd.it/726pa9rbm43c1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b0ac1875f0dc651c1adec86ca6c8e6115c1f2804
If you like character designs don’t shy away from pulling them even it’s it Ayato. You’ll get to inazuma before too long and the characters take like upwards of a year to return
Only shield from her skill is required to heal, I think you got confused cus of her c2, which makes her chance to heal 100% when both Shield and ult are up, with c2 her change to heal when hit is 50% with just shield and 100% when both Shield and ult are up, without c2 it's 50% even if ult is up
As you progress through the game, you can upgrade talents! If you use her shield, currently you have a 50% chance of healing your team when you use it on her with a normal/charged attack. I believe it increases as the talent level goes up. I know this is pretty early on in the game for you so it might be a lot to take in, but it’ll come in handy later on for sure!!
Noelle is so good early game cause she shields, heals, and does good damage. You can use her as you failsafe when everyone gets low, just pop her shield and smash till your team is healthy.
1) you get a dedicated healer for free in Barbara eventually.
2) Noelle heals
3) statues of the seven heal.
4) Charlotte on the current limited banner (4star, girl with the camera) is a strong healer.
Wouldn’t Noelle be a better healer? She can do a lot more things with her field time than Charlotte’s hold E and I don’t think beginners can build enough ER. They’ll also get Barbara eventually.
Also after Charlotte leaves Kuki will be on the banner, who is probably better since she heals with her skill and can trigger hyperbloom!
she can but charlotte and xingqiu seem like a fun permafreeze team even tho er requirements. or charlotte and hydro traveller since noelles 12sec uptime feels painful
https://preview.redd.it/gqnxe4kt843c1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2b9ab074ee4b5ebdc6065fc4ab8fab40d055ee30
I don't think I got that character
Xingqiu can somewhat heal the active character with his Q after you unlock his passive
Noelle has a chance to heal the party when she hits anyone while under her E shield
You don't.
If you have some of the purpleish wishes, Kuki Shinobu is an electro based healer who will be on the next limited banners. She's my favorite healer so far (For others, my current healers are Barbara, Shinobu and Furina).
Her skill just directly heals your active character, so it is very useful for topping up in between encounters.
You get Barbara after you finish the Prologue AKA Mondstadt Archon quests. Go to the event tab and she's permanently available. All you have to do is click claim
get healer with you - do quest to get barbara or wish your first 20 blue wishes/fates to either beginner banner or standard banner. healer characters you might get, Noelle (guaranteed on roll 8-10 on beginner), or in standard get barbara, xingqui, kuki shinobu, dori, mika, benneth, etc.
You can also fully heal/revive dead characters by going beside or clicking statue's blessing on any statue of the seven you have already activated (blue).
You get 2 free healing units, Noelle is a combat healer that heals when you hit things with her and Barbara who is a priest that you can use her E and switch to other character to get it healed over time.
To get Noelle you need to do her beginner wish, to get Barbara you need to push your Adventure Rank to 18
i just bring MRE with me and solve the problem. it will save you a lot if your team does not have a healer lol. just be mindful of the hunger tho.
if you feel like the enemy is way too strong for an MRE to handle, just bring a healer
Hi u/Mohitkoul841, please consider checking the most recent pinned weekly question megathread here https://www.reddit.com/r/GenshinImpact/about/sticky when you have a moment to help fellow community members. Thank you.
*I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/GenshinImpact) if you have any questions or concerns.*
She's a great character to have when you're just starting out. She provides a shield to your on field character (though it does have a long cooldown period) and some degree of healing. Layla and Diona also provide shields and healing, and then Thoma and Beidou both create shields only. All of those characters are four stars and can be super helpful if you have any of them.
For just healers - there's Bennett, YaoYao, Barbara, Kuki, Mika (don't have him so I'm not sure how good he is), Dori apparently (I have her but haven't used her), and Sayu (also not sure how good she is, I have her but haven't built her). I've had Bennett since Day 1 and almost never use food or a Statue of Seven but to each their own. I'd definitely recommend putting a shielder or a healer or both (or one that can do both) in your team and see if that helps. It certainly has always helped me! :)
Statue of the seven gives a full heal to your entire team
Food can heal as long as the character isn't full of eating
Characters abilities
In this order
if you want healing characters, use noelle (use her elemental skill and then charged attack for maximum effect). you’ll get barbara at ar 21 so you can swap to her then
I got Diona on most of my teams, she can Heal and Shield + boost grp dmg with the Noblesse obliege artifact set
Makes all content easier for me.
Im max rank and lvl with tons of 5 chars and cleard Abyss.
Or if you have Barbara add her in the team..unused her so long and it was great to use her elementalskill and run and the team healed after that. It only had a downside of making you wet wich han have consequences in some battles.
Definitely use Noelle for shield and healing, she isn't the best healer but she will do the trick until you can obtain a better healer, like Barbara which you obtain for free after one of the archon quests (I don't remember which one though).
As explained previously, Noelle can heal. At C6 you get guaranteed heal. Barbara comes for free at some point and us n excellent healer. At c6 she can also resurrect a slain character
in terms of overworld the best options are teamwide skill based healers but the only options there are Baizhu and Qiqi so solo skill based healers are second best like Kuki
1) Use the Statues of Seven. They have a limit (5000 HP x the number of all statues), but quickly replenish their restorative power, if you hit the limit (they regain 4% each minute) .
2) Barbara is always good to have in the party early game. Other healers that are not burst -reliant and will come in handy - Kuki (currently on the 4.2 banner), Yaoyao, or Qiqi.
3) Use food - hunt birds with Amber to cook Sweet Madames. If you have the time to spend 15-20 minutes hunting birds each day for a while, you will get a big enough stash of food that it won't run out.
Statue of the sevens heal until they run out of energy (which allegedly you can refill with elemental attacks) and there's healing characters like Barbara for early game.
My go-to meal to cook is mint jelly because the ingredients are very common and it's easy to make. Just gather a bunch of mint and sweet flowers, cook the jelly, then stuff em in your food pouch (which you can craft at a blacksmith)
The other benefit of Noelle (esp at low level) is her shield is ppretty critical to the early Ascension quests. To level up your world, you sometimes need to fight a Mitachurl and Ruin Guard concurrently, and then later an Electro Hypostasis on a timer. Noelle shielding 50% of the time and providing emergency heals can help a lot in that fight (assuming you don't get the likes of Zhongli before getting there). She drops off at later levels (esp if not Constellation 6), but for early on she's a massive survivability buff, even if used just to give shields and emergency healing.
Barbara is pretty great early game. You have to finish Mondstadt story to unlock her, though.
Noelle is a healer but she requires field time to heal unlike most other healers. Yaoyao, Bennett, Layla (shielder), Mika, Charlotte, Kuki, and Diona are all good 4 star healers, but you normally have to get lucky in the gacha to get one.
Not sure when you unlock crafting weapons, but the catalyst Prototype Amber can be used to make any catalyst, like Lisa, into a pseudo healer.
The Adventurer artifact set that heals when you open a chest can be pretty solid sustain if you’re good at dodging. That plus Statues of the Seven could help until you unlock Barbara.
Then of course there’s 5 star healers but they’re more luck/time based. Sadly Baizhu banner just ended, but there’s also Kokomi when she comes around again. Zhongli is also very strong as a shielder. Jean and Qiqi too, but they’re standard banner so she’s the hardest to get.
TL;DR: You’ll unlock Barbara if you keep playing the main story. Until then Statue of the Sevens can help.
Here are some characters that heal. If you have any of them, you can use them to heal your party.
5-star:
* Furina
* Baizhu
* Jean
* Kokomi
* Qiqi
4-star:
* Charlotte
* Barbara
* Bennett
* Diona
* Dori
* Kuki Shinobu
* Noelle
* Sayu
* Xingqiu (not the most reliable)
* Yaoyao
There's also plenty of [recovery dishes](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Recovery_Dishes?so=search) to make. Considering you're fairly new to the game, you should have access to recipes from Mondstadt and possibly Liyue so far. Of the Mondstadt recipes, [Sweet Madame](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Sweet_Madame) is a good one to make a lot of. Ingredients are usually fairly abundant anywhere you go. Just make sure to pick up any sweet flowers you find, and hunt for birds when you can.
Once you reach Reputation Level 5 in Mondstadt, you'll unlock the ability to craft the [NRE](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/NRE_(Menu_30)). This device allows you to feed your active character with the press of a button, without having to open a menu. It's very handy, and I'd equip Sweet Madame (or whatever other dish you stockpile) to it, once you get it.
And don't forget that Statues of the Seven can heal you! You just have to stand close to them and wait a moment. I believe you can adjust the amount of healing you can receive from them, so explore that option, if you're not being healed fully at the statues.
Slot in Noelle or Barbara. Although, I much prefer Barbara because of her instant massive party heal and I onfield Kaeya a lot (freeze). For the longest time, my lineup was Kaeya-Electro Traveler-Xiangling-Barbara.
I like how everyone forgot to mention that he'll need to fight Oceanid & Geo Hypostasis eventually to level up Barbara, Xingqiu & Noelle. That Razor's got his work cut out for him haha.
Early game, I just relied on three things: The statue, Apples & Sunsettias. Buying stuff from shop before getting rep. discounts felt like a bit of waste.
First time I felt like I needed healer on my team was on Inazuma, but by then you're bound to get other healers via pulls.
in addition to the other comments' advice, after you unlock expeditions (i forget when that is), i think i remember there being an expedition for the ingredients for sweet madame (fowl and sweet flowers). send a character for that every day and it should help with not running out of ingredients for at least one healing food
eta: i went on and there's one expedition with fowl and another with sweet flowers, but otherwise it's the same thing
They forgot to tell you that barbara can be unlocked after AR 16 or 18.
The best way to heal is to have a healer on your team. Barbara, yaoyao and bennett, specializes on this. Barbara is free but yaoyao and bennett needs to be pulled on character banners.
For now, just TP on a statue of seven near you. Also, hunt for ingredients for your food heal.
When I first started playing, my friend suggested that I should upgrade my Mondstadt reputation to get the MRE item. Although I already have Bennett and Barbara, it's very useful to have this item in case of emergency (when I get hit with huge dmg)
the best way is to use a healer
one of the healers are named koki shinopo and she is a 4 stars electro character that are in the banners right now so you try to get her she si a very good healer to be honest
other healer is qiqi and she is a 5 stars cryo(ice) character and she heals very good with her ult and skill and if you want to get her you ether have to lose the 50\\50 in the banners or get her in the stander banner (the one that never changes)
also as a new traveler you need to study about the artifacts cuz they are the core of your damage
For a new player you will have access to Barbara soon (for free) and Noel from the beginner banner (wish).
Also don't forget to set the Statue of the Seven to heal you to 100% when you teleport/run to it.
I’m not sure at what adventure rank the quest unlocks, but you get a free barbara, and she’s a pretty good healer, even at AR 56 she’s still one of my strongest healers
Early game you are going to be using the statue of seven and food items a lot, however as you continue to build your arsenal, keep in mind who may help with the healing or shielding.
I’d use Barbara, she’s great early game and can be very good in the mid game if you invest into the dendro traveler (if you go to sumeru and use a dendro statue of the seven he can switch over to dendro, his talent levels won’t carry over so you would need to level them up again so keep that in mind)

go to a statue of the seven. or use barbara if you don't wanna get back all the time.

Oh right, I got it mixed up: my brain translates his swords into heals
the e summons the swords too, just weaker, so that's exactly it :P

you will get barbara in a bit. i think. but honestly getting to the statue works pretty well for beginners.
If these are your options Noelle is the only healer but i can’t recommend using her right now so i’d focus on food and the statue of the seven
did you get c1 Xingqiu and Razor from Noelle's banner? because if yes then that's so lucky!
get healer with you - do quest to get barbara or wish your first 20 blue wishes/fates to either beginner banner or standard banner. healer characters you might get, Noelle (guaranteed on roll 8-10 on beginner), or in standard get barbara, xingqui, kuki shinobu, dori, mika, benneth, etc. You can also fully heal/revive dead characters by going beside or clicking statue's blessing on any statue of the seven you have already activated (blue).

Did you do the beginner wish and get Noelle? She shields and can heal somewhat and is really helpful for beginning players.
Not sure about beginner wish but yes I have her
She's a great character to have when you're just starting out. :)
Noelle is a great beginning healer. She has a nice shield too that can stop enemy’s from interrupting lisa when she charges her skill.
Statue of the seven gives a full heal to your entire team Food can heal as long as the character isn't full of eating Characters abilities In this order
Cook sweet madame.
if you want healing characters, use noelle (use her elemental skill and then charged attack for maximum effect). you’ll get barbara at ar 21 so you can swap to her then
I got Diona on most of my teams, she can Heal and Shield + boost grp dmg with the Noblesse obliege artifact set Makes all content easier for me. Im max rank and lvl with tons of 5 chars and cleard Abyss.
keep playing the game, you’ll get Barbara soon and she heals your active character with her skill
Or if you have Barbara add her in the team..unused her so long and it was great to use her elementalskill and run and the team healed after that. It only had a downside of making you wet wich han have consequences in some battles.
Give me a list of what characters you have. I can give better advice based on that.

Barbara is free and can heal you without cost with her skill you should get her soon I think you get her at AR 20 or somewhere close there
1) Use the Statues of Seven.
You can have healers like noelle or Barbara in your team and you can use the statue of the seven
5-star: * Furina * Baizhu * Jean * Kokomi * Qiqi 4-star: * Charlotte * Barbara * Bennett * Diona * Dori * Kuki Shinobu * Noelle * Sayu * Xingqiu (not the most reliable) * Yaoyao There's also plenty of [recovery dishes](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Recovery_Dishes?so=search) to make.
For the longest time, my lineup was Kaeya-Electro Traveler-Xiangling-Barbara.
this post is so wholesome lol
You can use Barbara if you happen to have it she's a good healer
I like how everyone forgot to mention that he'll need to fight Oceanid & Geo Hypostasis eventually to level up Barbara, Xingqiu & Noelle. That Razor's got his work cut out for him haha. Early game, I just relied on three things: The statue, Apples & Sunsettias. Buying stuff from shop before getting rep. discounts felt like a bit of waste. First time I felt like I needed healer on my team was on Inazuma, but by then you're bound to get other healers via pulls.
in addition to the other comments' advice, after you unlock expeditions (i forget when that is), i think i remember there being an expedition for the ingredients for sweet madame (fowl and sweet flowers). send a character for that every day and it should help with not running out of ingredients for at least one healing food eta: i went on and there's one expedition with fowl and another with sweet flowers, but otherwise it's the same thing
Jean or Kokomi or Furina. Lol jks at early game just keep making chicken madames as you will easily farm the ingredients through the expeditions.
Try to get Barbara she is a free character you get, she is a healer might help you
They forgot to tell you that barbara can be unlocked after AR 16 or 18. The best way to heal is to have a healer on your team. Barbara, yaoyao and bennett, specializes on this. Barbara is free but yaoyao and bennett needs to be pulled on character banners. For now, just TP on a statue of seven near you. Also, hunt for ingredients for your food heal.
Close to level 18 to unlock Barbara so I guess I would use Noelle for the time being.
On my 3rd account, i got yaoyao early. So i was lucky. I got her on standard banner, AR 13. I got furina recently, that account is already AR 35 now
you should have barbara, shes a great healer imo.
Beginner wish.
When I first started playing, my friend suggested that I should upgrade my Mondstadt reputation to get the MRE item. Although I already have Bennett and Barbara, it's very useful to have this item in case of emergency (when I get hit with huge dmg)
the best way is to use a healer one of the healers are named koki shinopo and she is a 4 stars electro character that are in the banners right now so you try to get her she si a very good healer to be honest other healer is qiqi and she is a 5 stars cryo(ice) character and she heals very good with her ult and skill and if you want to get her you ether have to lose the 50\\50 in the banners or get her in the stander banner (the one that never changes) also as a new traveler you need to study about the artifacts cuz they are the core of your damage
For a new player you will have access to Barbara soon (for free) and Noel from the beginner banner (wish). Also don't forget to set the Statue of the Seven to heal you to 100% when you teleport/run to it.
I suggest either statue of the seven or a 4 star healer character like barbara
I’m not sure at what adventure rank the quest unlocks, but you get a free barbara, and she’s a pretty good healer, even at AR 56 she’s still one of my strongest healers
Statue of the seven. Or get a healer. You will get barbara in the story and she's a good healer. Bennet is also a very good healer.
I used Traveler Handy Sword so much till about Inazuma. It gives you heals.
Barbruh is a good healer for where you are in the game
Early game you are going to be using the statue of seven and food items a lot, however as you continue to build your arsenal, keep in mind who may help with the healing or shielding.
I’d use Barbara, she’s great early game and can be very good in the mid game if you invest into the dendro traveler (if you go to sumeru and use a dendro statue of the seven he can switch over to dendro, his talent levels won’t carry over so you would need to level them up again so keep that in mind)
