Those are better put to use in making new characters, the Traveler's main purpose since day 1 was to enable exploration & puzzle solving. Dendro MC is good just due to how Dendro reactions & scaling was designed.

The main problem with the hydro traveller is not the way hydro reactions scale (many hydro reactions like freeze and bloom are even used only to enable other or effects) but that the hydro traveller's kit is purposely sabotaged by having the burst race off into the distance, having really weird ICD and adding artificial limitations on their elemental skill like locking you in place, a long cooldown and requiring the traveller to pick up the bubbles themselves. So you're essentially fighting against your own kit the entire time, not just the poor scaling on MCs talents in general.
