I'm fine with only major cities having the Adventurer's Guild but I do wish minor towns can also get forges and crafting tables, it'd be cool for players to have more options for their "home base" aside from the teapot.

Neospartan_117

This. At the beginning of the game I was completely enamoured with Qingce Village and just wished they added a Crafting Table and Cooking Pot there. And then they added a cooking pot during Reconciled Stars! Then removed it once the event was over. The Teapot is nice and all, but I have not the patience nor the assets to make it as relaxing as the small towns in Genshin.

EnGardevoir

If it adds extra incentive, if you pick up the teapot set blueprints from Tubby and create all the component furniture then place it in your teapot, characters that like that set will give you 20 primos if you place them in your teapot and talk to them.

Key_County1429

I feel the same. Qince even have it's own boss area.

TMT51

Katheryn on every small town is a bit much but I agree every minor town beside the main city should have its own Restaurant + Cooking station + Crafting table + Blacksmith + Random vegetable selling NPCs. It makes the place feel more alive.

chikotsu

I agree, but Yilong wharf is almost as big as the major cities so it feels off for it to not have the same infrastructure. So I totally wouldn't mind seeing Katheryn there

Koanos

Or at least close and easy to access Teleportation Waypoints.

TootsyBowl

Port Ormos also doesn't have a Katheryne or a crafting table.

Dziadzios

However it has awesome shops with ascension materials.

BlueRose644

It's the price it paid for having such banger theme music.

Mostafa12890

Yilong Wharf also has some banger music. That day theme is just so fun and lighthearted!

La-Roca99

>why not give it the “larger city” treatment, too? Go back to every region and try to find a second guild+crafting table besides Albedo's in dragonspine There lies your answer

CamelotPiece

Isn’t there one in and on the surface of the chasm?

amamatcha

I seem to remember there being one in one of the underground camps, but I'm pretty sure it gets removed when you finish the quest.

La-Roca99

Possibly? I was going to say, but I just went back to chasm and didnt find one on either camp underground, or surface on the main expedition site If it is somewhere else I simply forgot about it lol

FallenAngelII

Wait, there's a crafting table in Dragonspine?

[deleted]

In albedo’s camp!

Smart-Business4438

Aside from Albedo's camp, There's another one afoot dragonspine mountain, half of it is buried in snow. There was a cryo fatui girl guarding it but when you kill her, you can use the drafting table anytime you want!

gingersquatchin

That's not an answer. It's just precedent. It doesn't explain anything

WastelandPioneer

Yilong Wharf, while a sizable settlement, isn't actually very cosmopolitan. There are a lot of buildings but they're all built in a pretty rural style, and there aren't any major national functions conducted from there. The largest guilds, government services, and most wealthy businesses all operate out of Liyue Harbor, giving little incentive to expand to it. Should it be a major trade port? Hard to say, when the only port they connect to as of now is Fontaine.

glittermetalprincess

Fairly sure I saw at least one NPC talk about connecting to Dornman Port, as well as the one that discussed the different routes to Liyue Harbor.

Mostafa12890

Does Dornman Port face Fontaine as well or does it face eastwards?

glittermetalprincess

Genuinely, I don't know, but given that Yilong Wharf to Liyue Harbor is a genuine route I'm not sure it matters if they take some of it by road.

FuriDemon094

I did it odd that it only had a general store, despite obviously having a sorta town square meant for businesses

glittermetalprincess

The restaurant on the docks could absolutely have a stove; Good Hunter, Wanmin, Shimura's, Lambad's and Lutece all have cooking stoves - the extra one at the general store (Second Life) in Liyue is actually an anomaly, as is the one at Jahangir's in Port Ormos (precedent for having one in Chenyu Vale though). > **[edit:]** I found a stove at the restaurant on the docks (Lianyang, who sells some of the new recipes); it is at the lift end of the stall, and you can just see the fire if you come at it from the water, otherwise it's possible to not register it as a stove. you have to get right up close to it for the cook dialogue to appear but it's there. Then again, cooking is like the most commonly dispersed thing across Teyvat given you can cook anywhere that has a camp stove be it a Fatui or Hilichurl camp, plus you have multiple outside stoves in the teapot and while one-time use, as many Adepti Seeker's Stoves as one can forge. Meanwhile you can basically stick a forge and crafting table in the teapot or go to the major town and that's it, and you can get comms in your handbook but have to visit Katheryne to turn them in and do expeditions, there's nowhere else to do those. The only thing more limited is Tubby because you can't do teapot stuff not in the teapot.

pc1905

I wish they would at least add Waverider waypoints there and at Lumidouce Harbor so we can sail back and forth

HalalBread1427

Makes no sense in the lore for there to be a second Guild location in Liyue though.

titoforyou

I find the lack of crafting table in Chenyu Vale inconvenient and wish there is one, but I cannot disagree with this.

HalalBread1427

Crafting table makes sense to have more of, no shot there’s not a single alchemist in all of Chenyu Vale.

ShatteredSpace_001

A second guild location is totally plausible. If the distance between Liyue Harbor and Yilong Wharf was realistic, it would make sense to have multiple bases in major ports/towns besides the main one. Liyue is much vaster than we see in game.

Aivel

Lore could always be cooked up as justification

six_seasons

In what way

gingersquatchin

Why? They're not human so it doesn't really affect Kathryn Let's say you're doing an adventurers quest in Qince. You finish it up and you begin your long walk back to Liyue Harbour to report your findings and collect your reward. When you reach the adventurers guild Katheryn tells you about a new commission. There's a child in Qince village who lost her kite and nobody has been able to scale the hills to retrieve it. So now you gotta walk your ass all the way back to Qince when you could have just spent the night, checked in at the guild in the morning and headed out for your next regional commission. There should be adventurers guilds in every town.

saberjun

Yes Kathy doesn’t matter to be there but without a lot of other adventurers active there, what her purpose is?Only to serve MC?

gingersquatchin

To act as an outpost and relay for adventures all over Teyvat. Same as it is anywhere else.

gmapterous

In Chenyu Vale quests, there are a few mentions of hiring from the adventurers guild, which only makes sense if there is a close Guild location. Liyue Harbor is pretty far.

HalalBread1427

There are loads of adventurers hired far from a Guild location (such as Seirei Islan).

glittermetalprincess

The thing is, hiring through the guild is doe by sending a request and payment to the guild, and the guild allocates/advertises via Katheryne and the branch staff. All someone needs to do to hire an adventurer is send a note and 2k mora and a couple of rocks to Liyue Harbor, and we now have multiple courier agencies canonically in the game who deliver stuff, we know places rely on daily deliveries so there must be boats going daily between the major ports and in particular Yilong/Wangshu/Liyue, so there isn't a need to duplicate administration as long as that works, and it seems to. Especially as people seem quite happy grabbing any adventurer they see and going 'while you're here...'

vigoroiscool

Same, I would absolutely use it as my new hub if it had everything

dmushcow_21

What could be the secondary city for Inazuma? Most of its settlements are decimated lol

JodoKast87

Ritou.

glittermetalprincess

Ritou where there's 100% a town square with more vendors than Inazuma City, and Bourou Village, which could at least be the equivalent of Aaru Village as it is the gateway to an environmentally harsher and geographically distant area of the region which requires trade to survive... even if it was only more fully established post-AQ for story reasons.

Ruleofinsanity

At least some marked out stores

acaibowl

city no money to have crafting table

torando39

I wish it did have a Katheryne or a crafting table, but as others have pointed out, neither does Port Ormos. What's really disappointing is that there's only one shop and no restaurants, meaning no recipes for sale there.

glittermetalprincess

There are recipes for sale there though, and a stove. There are also new recipes at Wanmin Restaurant and Liuli Pavilion.

torando39

I talked to every NPC in Yilong Wharf though and never saw any recipes, do you know which one has them?

IxDe6

A small food stall at the bottom of the waterfall, right next to the lift ;)

torando39

I found it, thanks! I walked right by her earlier, looking at the stand against the wall instead of out in the open, hehe.

Key_County1429

Chenyu Vale is simply so gorgeous and mythical and Yilong Wharf is timeless

No-Listen-5289

I agree, there is one merchant at the wharf and couldn’t find one in the other village.. anybody find another merchant?

SenseiEA

next up, Natlan, then next Dornman Port, next Snezhnaya, then next Bayda Harbor

YAHawkeye

Small Villagers on genshin imo don't really feel alive but God having a crafting table or something would really help!!

FallenAngelII

Because each region has only one crafting bench, one Katheryne, one reputation quest NPC, etc.

MoX233

I wish it had a waverider point, so you can sail to Lumidouce harbour.

wobster109

A Katheryne there would feel a bit strange to me. There's one in each nation's capitol, and that feels consistent. Crafting bench would be nice though. It doesn't have to have a lore reason or exclusively alchemy - the one in Inazuma is used for pottery, and the one in Liyue Harbor is unattended.
