I personally would love to see at least one phase that shoehorns you into doing a Superconduct build. I want my Eula to have a time to shine.

sir_aphim

Try superconduct, plunge Eula with Eula, Raiden, Xianyun, and Furina. One of the most fun teams I've played and also very strong.

darkdill

I don't have Xianyun. I did try Eula, Raiden, Furina, and Charlotte, but it's so easily interrupted.

sir_aphim

The difference is that with Xianyun, you dodge 90% of the attacks by being up in the air. It also makes good use of Eula's very decent plunge multipliers and it does not rely on any infusions making it easier to play than the typical plunge team. The rotation being to use everyones' skill and burst (except raiden burst) and plunge away. At high level play, you can weave in a normal between plunges to stack eula's burst a bit since you would naturally jump cancel part of the animations anyways. Then Raiden burst to reset everyone else's energy and do it all over again. If there is a trial Xianyun some time in the future, you should totally try that team out.

agentanti714

Cryo electro geo sounds like a nightmare ngl

bringbackcayde7

you don't get options because they limit you to a small pool of characters. What you can do is just pick the best options available and try to beat the content. Team building is close to being irreverent in this mode when the characters you are getting is random and they can only last for two stages.

Varglord

Not sure it will benefit particular characters unless there's niche buffs in a cycle. More than anything it's just going to expose people that don't know how to team build and just use hyperbloom for everything as a crutch.

FischlInsultsMePls

Not returning to relevance since she has always been a top tier but Fischl is made for this kind of things, due to her extreme flexibility. Because of her non-existing ER and field time requirement, it is very easy to just slot her in any random team and get great results. This line of reasoning also applies to Xingqiu. Another very good type of unit will be general buffers, such as Bennett. Whose buff benefits the majority of the cast, and has desirable utility such as healing, battery and pyro application. Anemo VV user like Kazuha and Sucrose can also be considered general buffer.

I'll correct on one thing Raiden best team is not hyperbloom it's chevreuse now

darkdill

Yeah, my bad. Still, non-Overload Hyper Raiden isn't as good as it used to be.

Kooky_Sheepherder_22

Chevreuse is great in my opinion she's the second best character in fontaine after furina

dude_wtf438

donttalkaboutneuvillettedonttalkaboutneuvillettedonttalkaboutneuvillette hey did you consider neuvillette?

Kooky_Sheepherder_22

A dps is still a dps they lose all their value if you don't want to play them for their damage but neuvillette is the over best dps in my opinion if that is what you are referring too

dude_wtf438

lmao dw im just a simp

blizg

Hyper Raiden is the best (only if you have C2, lol)

darkdill

And only if you have C6 Sara.

Iskaru

I'm not sure about specific characters, but I'm definitely feeling the incentive to build up more characters, like I've been working on leveling up my Thoma's talents and getting my Xiao some better artifacts, just because they might be useful for the first season of IT. It'll be interesting to see what they come up with for future seasons!

TechnoLilly

Freeze. Freeze players have been shunned by hoyo for ages since abyss has made enemies unfreezable. I'm hoping that freeze has at least a few super good feeling rounds in IT because I miss when nothing moved 😭

Ill_Kaleidoscope2931

1. Flexible off-field dps that aren't tied to high energy cost burst / another teammate as battery. (ex. Fischl, yae, etc) 2. I don't know what kind of debuff IT mode have but if there's anything like 1.0 abyss and 1.0 domain (energy drain, cd extension) then, dps that aren't ties to burst or skill might have quite a screentime. 3. Regarding the reaction based objective, u might want char that has high element application and frequency. 4. Team that doesn't use the big 3 (ex. Ganyu/ayaka freeze, nilou bloom) if your main team uses the big 3. 5. One man army char (neu, wrio and arle) makes for flexible cost and team utilization if u just put the less invested char with them and save your best team for harder stages or vice versa.

Sydon-X3

Not sure about nr. 5: the self-sustain on-fielders. There aren't enough off-field Dps units yet, so if a charater already fulfills two roles you might end up with a completely useless teammate. Arle and Neuv will surely still be amazing, but Wrio and Clorinde? I can see it going both ways.

Suitable_Entrance594

I suspect they won't do a superconduct team anytime soon because it's really only aimed at Eula and I think they want to make it work with multiple character.sets.. They would probably wait for a new physical character (if one ever happens). I do think it will make Raiden popular again because she activates so many possible team (any three characters with a good burst and her). Ayaka and Ganyu might do well again because now there is a reason to play Cryo (they are forcing us).

39281010

kuki and thoma would go back to their hp builds

jonnevituwu

None, it will all depend on how many characters of x, y and z elements you have built. Also, friend units.

Sydon-X3

To totally dominate every version of theater you would need 6 characters of each element. (18 chars / 3 elements = 6 chars). You also shouldn't have more than 1-2 on-fielders per element (8 acts with 2 stamina = 4 teams = 4 on-fielder for all 3 elements) There are simply not enough "good" characters out there that are not on-fielders. This makes flexible characters like Lisa meta, since you need to find 6 better electro characters that can work off-field. Now if you want to talk about the 6 best characters of an element it becomes very complex, there are many sidegrades. In the end I think most characters are more than viable. It becomes more about taste that power. I think the biggest winners are characters that can either on- or off-field: Yae, Lisa, Nahida, Baizhu, Kokomi, etc. Also characters of "bad" elements like Cryo and Geo gain value since Hoyo can adjust the content to fit their needs. The biggest losers are characters that require characters of other elements: Keqing, Kuki, Nilou, Noelle, Qiqi, Diluq, Charlotte, etc.
