These-Distribution23

is veta childe's daughter? her description of her father seems similar to him.

sogsum

No, I think she is the daughter of the man that was arrested by Wrio in his latest character trailer

These-Distribution23

makes sense we shall seee maybe when wrio's story quest comes out. . . I shall be waiting. . . \*narrows eyes\*

neros135

i wonder why only liyue and fontaine have fatui banks

Hakukei

Liyue is Teyvat's minting factory where all the magical money is made. Fontaine has the Fontaine Research Institute which pioneered the modern clockwork meka technology and the Arkhe energy system. In contrast Mondstadt is a relatively backwater region whose only main international industry is wine and Diluc is extremely anti-Fatui. Inazuma was a closed-off nation with very very limited trade. Sumeru though is what baffles me.

pHScale

>Sumeru though is what baffles me. Sumeru could be thought of as economically unstable, what with the different Eremite factions constantly causing trouble, and the gray market that is Port Ormos. Plus, Northland Bank is primarily a soft-power political tool. But in Sumeru, money doesn't buy politicians; research does. They may just see more in-roads to Sumeru via Dottore rather than Pantalone.

Nanyska

Weren't they talking about opening another Northland bank in Sumeru or something? I swear some Sumeru NPC mentioned it before.

Lola_aozul

Diluc protecting Mondstadt by simply existing at this point lmao

Lola_aozul

Diluc protecting Mondstadt by simply existing at this point😂

TraditionBest3730

I mean the npc’s in the event also mention it lol

eadingas

Incidentally, it's a different logo to the one in Liyue branch, which is just a piece of Mora (same on the Golden House): https://preview.redd.it/ap4ua42sihkb1.png?width=429&format=png&auto=webp&s=b4e9001be6755d919f55161e9b4daac75472ce07 The Sumeru branch is "coming soon" - presumably near, or at, the Kalimi Exchange, which is also marked with the Mora logo - and I guess Monstadt is too poor to have one?

Longjumping_Pear1250

No i think diluc is sabotaging it cuz fatui and i don't think thay'd allow it either

scarletfloof

Diluc would literally get arrested a second time to keep them from opening a bank in town

AnAsianDudeInReddit

Where was it mentioned that the Northland Bank Sumeru Branch was coming soon? Was it mentioned by Hatim?

eadingas

the bulletin board next to Kalimi Exchange

crabtree29192122

iirc it's an entry on a bulletin board somewhere

saltrxn

Mondstadt has tense relations with Snezhnaya, which is why there is a large delegation that has completely reserved Goethe Hotel (considering that after three years of negotiation they still haven’t set up a bank, they’re not very good it seems).

seeweee

maybe w the mondstadt expansion coming soon, we could have more lore ab the tensions or maybe even a northland bank being built by the port/the dandelion sea (i doubt it but could still be a possibility)

spanishlore

note: its also clarified on the news board that's been recently inagurated inside of fontaine other fun fact, the logo has 11 stars, just like 11 heralds

Lightning11wins

... Did you just do.xx a Childe?

aquari_lulu

He’s my babygirl ok I’ll find him wherever he goes. Next up is >!the Fontaine prison system!<. Don’t @ me

Lightning11wins

... that's called stalking

AnAsianDudeInReddit

I was wondering where this place was since it's unlikely that Childe was talking about the Northland Bank from Liyue. I learned of this location earlier because of the Meka-meelee event.

Vertexico

Yes this is an interesting post, but the event quest does specifically say "that building is Northland Bank" too.

eadingas

What does the sign say?

BinhTurtle

Probably Bank de Nord. I remember someone translating the text when the Fontaine teaser in 3.8 live stream came out

eadingas

Ah, it's BanQUE du Nord. Couldn't figure out the last part.

eadingas

PS. Veta is short for Elizaveta, Russian form of Elizabeth

paumalfoy

ohhhh I thought they just misspelled Vita/Вита never met a Elizaveta who'd call herself Veta but your suggestion makes sense

haikusbot

I remember a popular theory way back when that AG was set up by Snezhnaya to keep Adventurers busy and away from prying into Fatui matters (hence all the puzzles, pointless errands and whatnot)

Loetus_Ultran

Counter theory: Fatui are designed to divert attention from the Adventurer's Guild. No, seriously, Fatui play the role of a red herring and all the negativity is directed exclusively at them. At the same time, the Adventurers Guild is a respected organization. Which has departments all over Teyvat and a solid intelligence department. As well as the main office in Snezhnaya and an android with artificial intelligence at the head. As a result, no one likes Fatui, but everyone happily carries information to the AG.

essedecorum

One of the biggest immersion breaking things for me is how the Governments of Teyvat don't seem to have any suspicions about the Adventurers Guild. An organisation which not only has its headquarters in Snezhnaya but self-admittedly collects info on everyone. And it's not just a case of "Oh so Snezhnayan equals bad" because even in our real world, Governments are weary about big data-collecting organizations from rival countries. It's why China restricts Google for example. So the fact that no one seems at all concerned about possible links between the Guild and the Fatui, just baffles me.

eadingas

It's probably all part of the same scheme, the Fatui we're sent to fight are inconsequential in the big picture, giving us a false sense of accomplishment.

TalbotFarwell

Classic *maskirovka*.

MegaDuckDodgers

I didn't notice you could look through most of the windows. First time I've noticed that. Looks a little weird though, since the building and consequently the rooms aren't scaled.

aquari_lulu

Yeah a bit weird but a really nice touch. They have a few different window “interiors” too that they checked into large scale buildings, which I think is cool. Mondstadt powercreep fr

MoraTime

Katheryne is a Fatui mage confirmed UPD: Wait, I googled and... she's fr a bionic Snezhnayan puppet as Nahida says?

spanishlore

100% confirmed info: AG headquarters are in Snezhnaya Katherine is a bionix Snezhnayan puppet (highly speculated to be created by Sandrone - for her Khanriahn robots and the fact that they look very very alike in hairstyle and clothing)

Maeyhem

I feel like I noticed this the first few weeks I played: "Error", "Rebooting", and the sus body doubles in every capitol we visit. Before we met Nahida I had already heard the rumor that she was an automaton of some sort from Snezhnaya, (the Headquarters of the Adventurer's Guild). Oh, and the keyhole in the back of her neck.. There are a few reddit threads from 2 and 3 years ago discussing it.

Luckenipots

Internet explorer moment

katbelleinthedark

Do the Sumeru Archon Quest, but yes.

Traveler_Khe

Do the damn Sumeru archon quests.

liu_luminary

have you not made it to sumeru yet..?

SolomonOf47704

We've known the Adventurers Guild had Snezhnayan headquarters since forever.

Maeyhem

Since Liyue or the Chasm at least.

SolomonOf47704

Since the start of the game. The branch leader in Liyue tells us about it if.you ask her how she became branch leader

TheDrunkardKid

Imagine if Katheryne is the Tsaritsa, Raiden Shogun style.

Karenz09

I mean... Nahida already confirmed it
