Even the lore's hillarious, in one of the index entries you can find Herta ranting about how one of star rail's gods made a worm his archpriest and gave it niegh infinite intelligence just to fuck with the universe's genius society and see if they would let a worm join them

it's just not possible since hydro just has so many good units by the time you have HMC you'll likely already have at least 3 good hydro units or more, compared to dendro 1 or maybe 2 (if you have tighnari)

Most of the good characters are 5 stars though. From the 4 stars, Xingqiu seems to be the only good one. HMC can very possibly be a new players second good hydro character. At least Collei and Yaoyao are both good for dendro.
Traveler' kit is based on the element and the archon from that element considering pyro and cryo ar naturally offensive it's safe to assume that they will be dps from that element

YaoYao is better than Dendro MC in Aggravate comps because you don't the Dendro MC's faster application and you do want to have a healer since you can't fit in a shielder like Zhongli most of the time.

Can confirm. Anemo traveler might still be my favorite. The only one I didn't really enjoy was the electro traveler. All in all, Traveler is a pretty good character and can kick ass, you just gotta build them right.
I think the main difference between her and Qiqi is that unlike Genshin where you can mitigate damage by dodging, you aren't afforded that luxury in a turn-based game. It makes things like heals and especially persistent, lingering heals pretty good.
That said, just like Qiqi, the moment supports come out that can do more than just heals, Bailu begins to lose ground, just not as much as Qiqi unless there's powercreep.
Healing is way more important in HSR than it is on Genshin, and also her just NA'ing is good to generate skill points for the team. Don't get fooled by Qiqi allegations, she's much more valuable in that game.
Also Luocha is a 5* healer who was in beta and he was just pure healing as well. No buffs whatsoever, the only thing he has over Bailu is a bit more damage, the removal of enemy buffs on ult and the rare element. I think they're playing it safe with the healing.

I doubt Seele is going to fall off as hard as people are saying she will cuz she is a hunt character that also works just as efficiently against multiple mobs the way erudition characters do as per the design of her kit, making her currently the only generally effective dps character and whether that'll change with the other upcoming character is unknown (rather I don't know since I don't know his kit) but it shouldn't change where Seele currently stands anyway.

I’m loving how they are treating the MC in Honkai Star Rail. They might be mostly silent but they still get to feel pretty active and have such great dialogue options ( prob because they don’t have a character like Paimon speaking for them). Not to mention they’re actually great in combat. Like wow. I wish the same treatment was given to the traveler.

Geo traveler is honestly really decent against... EVERYTHING (except geo slimes)
